The dude ain't as consistent as before, but he is still a useful asset in critical matches which is why I am happy to see him in the lineup.

Competition would be tough for Jaddu, even if they are going with 3 spin options (2 all rounders + Kulee). Jaddu has to compete with Axar and Washi who are superior batting options and par in bowling if not better. Jaddu is ace fielder tho but still tough competition.

I'd be surprised if Pant makes it into Playing XI in the first 2 matches.

England U19s played a very good match and they won 1st match. England U19s team is also very good and strong. They won the match with good performance of bowling. Hopefully, England U19s will play more matches like this in the future. South Africa U19s played a very bad match and they lost by low runs. South Africa U19s needs to work hard now to move forward. They will have to work even harder to progress.congratulations to England U19s for their upcoming matches. England U19s played a fantastic match. Yeah, as a WK batter he has done more than enough to cement his position. Other than that, if we go by merits then as backup of WK batter Sanju should've been in the squad, if not the playing XI. It will be Pant's first ODI series after an accident so it looks like a sympathy quota, reputation quota, game changer quota and X-factor quota.

Shami and Bumrah should be in playing XI, one of them get injured, Arshdeep comes in. How are we short? Or Are you also counting Hardik as seamer?

You know I wanted Nitish Reddy in there. He lost his charm a bit after making his century in BGT, but still his demeanour seems calm headed which could come really handy under pressure situations.

Bumrah just gave you a scare with his injury. Shami is returning from long break due to rehab and Hardik is injury prone. I hope everything goes alright, otherwise, we'll face a tune and look like a chump.

Except India and West Indies, almost everyone has played their first matches in this U19 World Cup. India and West Indies will play each other today. Sri Lanka, Australia, Bangladesh and South Africa have won their first matches and got 2 points each. While the Pakistan and England Women's team matches had no result and therefore all the four teams in Group B got one point each.

Social media is mad for Samson and not for Nair? That's not fair. Nair scored 779 runs, at an average of 389.50 in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. He almost singlehandedly took Vidarbha to the final. The 6 match of this series has surprised that South Africa Women's batsmen have defeated the New Zealand Women's team with a very good performance. I thought New Zealand women were strong, but South Africa women are stronger I got an idea from this match. South Africa Women's batsmen scored 91 runs in 11 overs which was a good target but they could not handle the pressure of New Zealand Women's bowlers which could have given them an easy target but it was not successful in any way. Apart from this, the New Zealand batsmen were also able to make 92 runs and in that too they faced a bad defeat. New Zealand Women's batting pace was very slow as they could not score more than 69 runs and lost the match. I feel sorry for New Zealand Women performance as they also fare well against Australia Women.

Well.. this is not an apple to apple comparison. India made their 400 plus total against Ireland (one of the weakest teams in women's cricket), and that too in sub-continental tracks. On the other hand, Australia managed to score 308 against England (who are among the strongest in women's game) and that too in a track that provided equal opportunities for both the batters and bowlers. At the moment, I would rate India one level below both England and Australia, at least in women's cricket.
