Sri Lanka ended up winning this series 2-0 and literally washed them out comfortably. The Kiwis were actually batting well in the final ODI, but luck wasn't in their favor thanks to rain interference.

Sri Lanka should focus on improving their overseas performances by learning from their homeground performances if you ask me.

Yes, I agree with you because New Zealand International cricket team made their mind to win this match but Rain interrupted in this match and any team could not play full overs. New Zealand team score was 112 when rain interrupted in this match and that was excellent inning by New Zealand players and they could win this match easily by high margin but luck was not with them and they could not win this match. Now Sri Lankan team is the winner of that series because they already win two matches and that was series of 2 matches and if New Zealand could win last game then trophy could be of both teams.But we will appreciate Sri Lankan International cricket team because of their best performance in this series and they didn't lose heart and that is big reason of their success.

We have no official statement from the officials at the Pallekele Cricket Stadium about third ODI between Sri Lanka vs New Zealand even now we have 7 PM local time with most chances we will be having nothing more about this game as rain is still going on, and it's not looking good for the last ODI where we have good batting from the two Kiwi batsmen after losing ODI series with lost of first 2 matches.

Will Young and Henry Nicholls have 88 runs stand for the second wicket after losing early Tim Robinson on just 24 runs even we have not good tour for New Zealand as they lost both test matches and then ended on level in T20I series, but their performance was not good in ODI games where they have gone down badly due to poor batting.

As per the latest update from the ground, the rain hasn't stopped. The ground staff are waiting to clear the ground and support resuming the match. Today's like bad luck for New Zealand because they've got a good start and scored 121/1 with W. Young: 56* (68) and H. Nicholls: 46* (51) on the ground. For now, New Zealand is on the winning side, and there is more chance of the match getting abandoned. Even if the match resumes, the pitch conditions might vary, which too can affect the match result.

I don't know why New Zealand decided to bat first. In the second match, New Zealand batted first on this pitch. New Zealand lost all their wickets and managed to score 209 runs. New Zealand batsmen failed to play well. Mark Chapman scored 76 runs and Mitchell Hay scored 49 runs. Apart from that, no other batsman from New Zealand was able to bat well. New Zealand was given a small target of 210 runs. In today's match, New Zealand won the toss and decided to bat. If New Zealand gives a target of less than 260 runs, they will lose today too.
