Saim Ayub and Agha Salman had to score big in the first match. Although they could not play a big innings in today's match, these two batsmen batted badly. Babar Azam and Rizwan managed to score 73 and 80 runs. However, the most important innings was played by Kamran Ghulam. Ghulam scored 63 runs from just 32 balls.
In the first 10 overs, the Pakistan batsmen were playing in a friendly way with fours and dot balls. They were playing calmfully. Babar Azam firstly understood the pitch and read the boundaries then when the ball was in the slot he go for boundary. While Saim Ayub has just one motive to hit the ball further to get single or double as a part of plan or boundaries.
Both batsmen were playing a good partnership. I was missing Abdullah Shafique, his batting is very good but currently, he is not in form and not performing with consistency but I hope he will recover his form in the next few games. In 9.2 overs in an attempt to make a six, Saim Ayub lost his wicket too. After that it was a show from Babar Azam and Muhammad Rizwan making a 100+ runs partnership.
None of Pakistan's players could score a century, but due to the good performance of all, Pakistan was able to accumulate 329 runs against South Africa in the first innings.
329 runs is definitely enough to win and Pakistan have secured victory in this match against South Africa. Pakistan's victory in the first ODI match Pakistan's big win against South Africa in the second ODI match, that is, Pakistan sealed the series against South Africa with one match in hand.
However, except for one South African batsman, if everyone had played with responsibility in this match, South Africa's score could have been higher, but it did not happen.
