Sri Lanka scored a massive 290 runs against New Zealand in the third ODI and bowled out New Zealand for 150 runs. Sri Lanka batting, bowling and fielding have done well in all departments.

This was a pointless match for the Kiwis at the end of the day which is why it's simply a consolation win for the Lankans plain and simple. Nobody remembers who won which match since they only focus on remembering the winners of the entire series.

This series result was pretty predictable thanks to which it ended up being another boring ODI series.

Mark Chapman played brilliant inning of 81 runs but didn't complete hundred. Kusal Mendis and Kamindu Mendis played more than 90 runs partnership, which helped their team to posted a total of near to 300 runs. Janith Liyanage also played brilliant 53 runs innings. SL team won game by big 140 runs big margin and avoid whitewashed

Thanks to Sri Lankan players for saving their shame from whitewash in ODI cricket by New Zealand. Whitewash is a bad credit to a country. They give perfect feedback on the 3rd ODI innings. A big victory for Sri Lanka in the 3rd ODI from New Zealand. It was a 3-match series. The first 2 matches were won by New Zealand it was the ending match here Sri Lanka won the match with a big run score left (140). This match appears to be New Zealand's very tragic end. There any batsman couldn't spend much time in the field to face the Sri Lankan bowler's ball.

Asitha Fernando, Maheesh Theekshana and Eshan Malinga took three wickets each and did not let the NZ team to bat in this innings.

Sri Lanka have consolation win in this last ODI of the series as they lost T20I series with the score of 2–1 and then another lost in ODI series with the same score their inconsistency and poor batting giving them problems now they are not in Champions Trophy2025, but this was good practice for the New Zealand.
While Sri Lanka bat first their batting in this match was much better as their top order give good performance which helps them for having good target of 290 for 8 Matt Henry doing good job as he completes his 150 wickets in ODI.

In reply, we have New Zealand in trouble from start all batsmen gone cheaply just Mark Chapman were able to have 81 runs, but these were not enough with all gone on 150 runs, and they lost match by 140 runs.

Sri lanka outstanding comeback after losing back to back matches in this series. Sri lanka team beat New Zealand in third ODI match by huge margin of 140 runs. Pathum Nissanka superb batting performance scoring 66 runs from just 42 balls assited Sir lanka to score 290 runs in first inning of ODI match. While chasing down a target of 291 runs New Zealand only managed to score 150 runs all out in 30th over of the match. Sri lanka amazing bowling performance especially Asitha Fernando who picked 3 important wickets by just giving only 26 runs in his bowling spell and Eshan Malinga also bowl outclass spell picked 3 crucial wickets including the wicket of Daryl Mitchell by just giving 35 runs and bowled out New Zealand at 150 runs. however, New Zealand won this series with 2-1.
