That's a big problem with Indian players. No one, literally no one wants to announce their retirement and love to extend their career in every possible way. Most of the time because of their brand value.

He can say anything he wants but everything depends on the selectors and selection should be on merits. If he's fit enough to do yard hards with good form and compete for the slot with young players despite turning 40 then he has every right.

I agree as Indian cricket is touching new highs with their huge success in IPL and having good things adopted which are increasing their quality and consistency it's time for players as well they follow footsteps of English and Australian players while they feel they are going down they announce their time for retirement which helps selectors and also help youths to done hard work for filling their spot but here we have no sportsmanship just because of their big brands which are giving them huge funds and their lifestyle is completely luxurious due to them.

As mentioned above he is currently 37 he needs to announce his retirement date, but he is insisting about he is going to play for 2 to 3 more years which is really shameful act for the legendary player like him with usually we have many players from SENA take retirement and started their new journey which helps them and also creating good atmosphere for the new generation players.

Here maybe controversy for you but still its depend on him and his fitness because in next few months he can take retirement from the test format and then go for the only white-ball format which is better for him with he just needs to be well-prepared for this all and having fitness until 2027 is also important.
BCCI like or not like it's not important but if one player is giving his best, and also he is working on his fitness they need to give him honor and also respect his this dare statement because he is still one of the best opener for them with having too many records and still doing good job is also important despite having any youngster who is not able to provide things better than him.

Yes you are right West Indies Women team played well against Pakistan Women team. Hayley Matthews did great job in batting and bowling. She scored 140 runs without getting out and took 3 wickets while bowling. This helped her team to win. However Pakistan Women team had trouble scoring runs because their main players did not perform well. They need to work on their weaknesses for future matches. West Indies team showed determination and skill which was good to see. It will be interesting to see how they do in the next games. Both teams have things to improve on for rest of series.

West Indies Women won by 113 runs against Pakistan Women in 1st ODI match. That's kind of interesting also. Cause even having less advantage in cricket, west indies women perform good enough. And i think all the credit goes to Hayley Matthews (140) who alone have done more than century and lead west indies to reached 269 runs in 50 overs. Cause without her rest of players didn't perform well but yeah Shemaine Campbelle(45) did good amount of runs. Besides Pakistan Women fail to score good amount of runs. Top players also out with lower score. Mid order players did some runs but unable to collect the given runs to win. They only made 156 runs and lost the match with 113 runs and that's a lot. Here Hayley Matthews got 3 wickets. She is really impressive in both batting and bowling sector. Without her, maybe West Indies wouldn't win

Pakistan-W team vs West Indies-W team 1 st odi game was ended today and West Indies-W team won toss and they got a chance to select first bat or bowl and West Indies-W team chose bat first. West Indies-W team set 269 runs target in 50 overs by losing 8 wickets. H.Mattews got a player of game award due to their effort in game both lines first in bat, H.Mattews scored 140 runs in 150 balls with fifteen 4s and one 6s. And in bowling, this player took down 3 wickets in 6 overs with 16 runs. Target was not high as I expected Pakistan-W team easily chased for this target and won this game and these series alos played at home ground of Pakistan-W team. But Pakistan-W team lost this game and only chased 156 runs. T.Hasan played well and scored 25 runs in 23 balls with two 4s. Hopefully, in next games Pakistan-W team will win these other 2 games and after T20I.

Never expected the Pakistani women to go down so meekly. Once the West Indies Women setup a massive total of 269/8, it was all over. While West Indies captain played an important role in that victory because first through bat she add a 140 runs and then took some important Paksitani wickets which put the in front to get them game. Paksitani team should comback otherwise they will lose after second match defeat
