And India has managed to achieve this, despite the poor quality of their domestic cricket structure. And it looks like IPL has become the most important avenue for the younger Indian players, rather than Ranji Trophy.
Not aware of their domestic set up but the praises Dravid got was about grooming the youngsters and that is not the IPL but the under 19 and other younger generation of players. The exposure in the IPL will help these players as they are sharing the dressing room with international players as well.

Bangladesh team again won the match against West Indies. West Indies batted first in the previous match and lost all their wickets for just 122 runs. In today's match they won the toss and decided to bat again. And as usual the batting has suffered a setback. Their innings ended with only 148 runs. Bangladesh reached the target after losing only 3 wickets. Mustafiz bowled 8 overs and took 2 wickets with only 15 runs. Mehidy took 4 wickets and Shakib took 2 wickets

This West Indies team is not experienced and due to board issues no big-name player is in the team. But yes, the score batting first in both matches has being less than 150 which is really a worry sign for them. Bangladesh played well as a team unit in bowling and as well as in batting and was a easy win for them. Want to see them batting first in 3rd match and see if they can cross 300 runs or not against this WI team. Not expecting any huge surprise from WI in 3rd match and mostly should be a whitewash.

There are heaps of praises for Dravid from former players and the way in which the young players took over and played without fear and it shows the bench strength which is scary for many teams as majority of the teams will struggle if they need to replace one or two players and India won the series even though they had to replace almost the entire team and five players making their debut for India and still winning the series is unheard to be frank and all the credits to nurturing youngsters .

There are a lot of factors, and influence from Dravid and NCA was definitely one of the most important ingredients. All this once again confirms that the player pool for India is very deep and rich in quality. And India has managed to achieve this, despite the poor quality of their domestic cricket structure. Who watches Ranji trophy, even the national broadcaster is not broadcasting Ranji matches. All eyes are on IPL because it is the only domestic cricket that is given attention by the media. Ranji is still crucial but the problem is that it does not have the coverage.

Our goody good boy Dravid is playing long game for right reasons and winning hearts and minds of new crop by nurturing them. Gill, Pant, Prithvi, Vihari, Mavi, Nagarkoti, Sunder and every new player love/respect Dravid. Once the new generation replace the old guard Virat & co then you could imagine what's going to happen.

I would love to see Rahul Dravid as the coach of the Indian senior team rather than Damaadji. But then, he may not be willing to act as a rubber stamp and that may lead to confrontations with the star players. Maybe he should remain as the head of National Cricket Academy (NCA) for some more time. He is doing a really exceptional job with the NCA, by helping the emerging players.

Dravid is in the right position. He is happy with his coaching responsibilities.

I don't think Sachin has any desire to take charge of the administration. He would have prepared himself in advance if he had wanted to. On the other hand, Dravid is in the right position. He is happy with his coaching responsibilities. I don't think Dravid has any interest in fulfilling the responsibilities of BCCI or ICC. Saurav Ganguli has been in charge of BCCI for a long time. He is suitable for BCCI or ICC

Even during their playing days, Sourav Ganguly was the more aggressive one out of the trio, while Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid were more mild natured. However, Sachin was the first to venture in to politics/administration, when he became a nominated member of the parliament. However, his term as parliamentarian was very unproductive and he might have decided against further participating in management after that.
Ganguly is born leader, just because of this he reach here very quickly and he can manage things in any where ICC presedency is also not problem for him even this could be good for cricket as most chances he will go like Jagmohan Dalmia and bring cricket some more attractive which is very good for this game about Sachin and Dravid both was very good batsmen but not leaders like Ganguly just because of him India done many good things in cricket and now they are still power.

It is impossible, there are many other people who are trying presidency for ICC, already BCCI supported Sourav Ganguly as president for BCCI. Now he is Cardiac arrest, he needs to take some rest, he needs to give the opportunity to fellow friends like Sachin and Rahul Dravid in order to focus on the future of Indian Cricket.

If Sachin or Dravid is interested, then it will be good. But among these three, only Sourav Ganguly has shown any interest in cricket administration. Dravid seems to be happy with his coaching responsibilities and he may not jump in to administration anytime soon. And yes.. Ganguly recently underwent hospitalization. But he was discharged after a few days and now he is doing fine.

Saurav Ganguly can win this spot without any serious problem but as JSRAW already mention he love to stay at BCCI because its much better place for him and after completing his tenure if he likes then he can manage this seat as well because he is good in leadership with very strong back up from his own board and few other boards as well for this spot about Sangakkara can stay in England for few spots like Michael Holding because he is also doing good here with different things.

I am not sure whether the other teams would agree to an Indian chairmanship of the ICC. This was one of the reasons why the Big 3 supported Barclay of New Zealand rather than putting up their own candidate. Also, Ganguly didn't had much of administrative experience before he became the BCCI president. Let him stay with BCCI for some more time, before he moves to the ICC.
I also think that Sourav Ganguly is not fully mentally ready to be the president of the ICC at the moment. He will serve as the President of BCCI for a few more years. Then maybe he will fight for the presidency of ICC. And if he wants to fight for the presidency, BCCI is ready to give him full support.

Is anyone watching the match between Bangladesh and West Indies? Bangladesh is the host of the series. In today's match, Bangladesh decided to bowl after winning the toss. West Indies lost all their wickets by just 122 runs. Shakib bowled only 7.2 years for Bangladesh. He was able to take 4 wickets for 8 runs. Great bowling. Mustafiz and Hasan Mahmud took 3 and 2 wickets respectively. I hope Bangladesh will win today's match easily

Exceptional comeback to the international cricket by Shakib Al Hasan. He picked up 4 wickets after conceding just 8 runs in 7 overs. West Indies included 6 debutants in their squad and apart from Kyle Mayers, none of them performed well. With such an inexperienced squad, I am not expecting the West Indies to perform any miracles during this series.
Bangladesh was able to win with 6 wickets left (with 97 balls remaining). Tamim Iqbal played an innings of 44 runs. Shakib and Mushfiq scored 19 runs each. It was a very easy win for the Bangladesh team. The West Indies board sent a very inexperienced team. This team does not seem to be able to win a single match

Small correction, He was President of the Cricket association of Bengal and had 4ish years of experience under his belt before becoming the BCCI president.

In that case, I need to take back my words. A couple of years as the BCCI president would give him enough experience before he aims for the ICC post. However, he may face opposition from two completely different circles. First of all, the cartel of businessmen who currently control the ICC would oppose him to tooth and nail. And secondly, the test nations who are not part of the Big3+NZ cabal would oppose someone from the big 3 becoming the ICC chairman (unless they get written assurances).

That depends on a few things. Sourav Ganguly is reported to be close to BJP, the ruling party of India. The next Indian general elections are due in mid-2024. So he needs to make his moves before that, if he want assured support from the BCCI and the Indian government. But the biggest challenge is likely to be from the smaller countries, who don't want anyone from the big 3 as the ICC chairman. The relations are likely to sour further, as India has announced that they are not going to take part in this year's Asia Cup. Also, there are rumors that the IPL window may be extended for another month, eating up around 25% of the international calendar.

If there is a maximum of one year term, then Ganguly may need to vacate the post very soon. He may do well as the ICC president, but with the cricketing world divided in to Big three (+ New Zealand) and the non-Big three groups, that sounds risky to me. I would like him to continue as the BCCI president for the next few years. He has just started with his reforms and a few years are needed to implement them. If they change the BCCI president every year or so, then there will be hardly any stability.

It will be very difficult for Sangakkara to compete for the presidency of the ICC. But it is very easy for Sourav Ganguly. I hope I will see Sourav as the president of ICC. If he wants to run for the presidency of the ICC, the BCCI will give him full support.
I heard that Sourav Ganguly recently suffered a cardiac attack and with his health not looking good, do you think that he will be running for these positions. I hope he is recovering from that and i was surprised when i heard the news as he was looking healthy and was a sportsman and he is relatively still young.  Not too keen on the politics but Sangakkara is a good choice.
Gangully recoverd already, as far as ICC seat goes i think he's going to stick with the BCCI for next 4-5 years, their might be some chance after that. Sangakkara is excellent choice but i believe he doesn't have that kind of backing even his own cricket board doesn't support him much.
I also heard that Srilankan cricket board  does not like Sangakkara. If he fights for the president post of the ICC, he will not get support from his own country. But if Sourav Ganguly wants to be the president of ICC, I think BCCI will give him full support and will try their best to make Sourav president. I don't think Sourav will be in charge of BCCI for another 5 years. I think he will be in charge of BCCI for about 2 years. Let's see what happens in the future

If I am not wrong, the supreme court of India has already enforced term limits on the post of BCCI president. So Sourav won't be able to continue for 4-5 years as the BCCI president. I guess after his term as the BCCI president is over, then he will target the post of ICC chairman. But again, that won't be something that the parasitic businessmen gang would be happy about.
They did but later SC royally fucked up everything with their red tape attitude. Now it seems to me that everything is back to square one. Ganguly was supposed to stay there for like 9 months because he was already serving in the Bengal cricket Association as President and Lodha committee recommended some 3ish year cooling period before taking any big office.
