Too many twists and turns in this match. At one point, it looked as if New Zealand would struggle to make a total of even 200. But they managed 273/8 (thanks to some fine batting by Jamieson and Taylor during the final overs). But the Indian batsmen seems to be struggling against the Kiwi bowlers, which was entirely unexpected. This is a team which is capable of chasing targets in excess of 350 with ease.
Sure there are many twist and turns in this match, i was expecting India to chase this score but now they lost 4 wickets already and now struggling. If India wants to reach the total the partnership between Shreyas Iyer and Kedar Kadhav is important and they have the opportunity to play a career changing innings and take India home and this is the only solid batsman and hence a good partnership is needed as India still need 198 runs to win.

Ouch!! Kohli bowled.... 59/3

Things getting interesting and spicy here. Now its all up to middle order let's see if they step up or we got any more drama left in this game.

So far good competition from both sides.

Kiwis gets a good start - India Pull back with the ball - Kiwis fight back in the death overs

India got rough start ----- To be continue

Kiwis would definitely be unhappy the way they have just scored 273 runs considering the start they got would like to atleast achieve 325+ runs . Taylor is in superb form and continue his batting from where he left the other day . India if build something partnership should be able to achieve this score easily .

^ Yeah at one point, Kiwis looked dangerous and were looking for a total of 300+ runs. Suddenly things changed and the Kiwis looked troubled losing 7 wickets in quick succession for just 55 runs. When NZ were at 197/8, none would have thought that they would score past 250.  But the newbie, Kyle Jamieson gave a good partnership stand with Taylor for the 9th wicket and posted a decent 273 runs on board. But I don't think that it would be easy for the Kiwis to defend such score in a ground with short boundaries.

Oh Boy Kiwis were looking dangerous at one point (140/1) but now India back in game again by taking 4 quick wickets. Shardul Thakur doing good today with ball and helping with run out looks good as well.

For Kiwis perspective it's bad news as they were heading towards big score, not anymore i suppose.

and Kohli probably wanted to reassure him that he has his captain's trust.
Its working quite well today.

Epic Collapse, Wow

From 140/1 to 187/7  tells the all the story.

Kiwis managed to finish the innings with decent total of 273 and the highlight is 76 run partnership for 9th wicket which let them to reach such decent total after the collapse earlier.

Now India has some hard task as well because of inexpereinced opener have to keep their wickets in hand for a while or there will be collapse in Indian team as well.

Every now and then, we need to give a few shocks to the Indian players to remind them that they are still human and prone to loses. This is what happened during the first match. Especially after the series victory during the T20 series, the players became a little bit overconfident. The outcome of the first match showed them their rightful place.

@JSRAW that’s a good decision from team India as they’ll know exactly how much they need to chase, and we all know that Virat loves chasing the target hence he’ll relish this opportunity to chase it down and win it. However I’ll agree with you that Sharadul should have been benched for this match and it’s indeed a bold a decision from Virat, and @Vishnu.Reang though your point is valid I felt he could have given him a chance later on as this was the series decider.

Virat Kohli is a very aggressive captain and he has made some unexpected decisions in the team selection earlier as well. But so far, things are going well for India. New Zealand has been restricted to less than 6 runs per over (124/1 after 22 overs). At this rate, New Zealand would end up somewhere around 300, and given the batting friendly conditions it is going to be a cakewalk for India.

2nd ODI NZ vs IND

India opt to ball today after winning the toss. Virat always surprise me with his playing XI, he rested shami and filled in Saini as 3rd seamer. I was expecting shardul thakur to sit out today instead of shami as this game is important if Virat wants to level the odi series.

Shardul Thakur was not doing well in the recent matches, and Kohli probably wanted to reassure him that he has his captain's trust. The decision to rest Shami was appreciable. He looks overworked and resting him for a few matches is necessary to keep him fully fit for the upcoming bilateral tours. Anyway, Saini is a promising bowler and he also benefits from opportunities such as this one.

NZ have started really well their innings after putting to bat by India . They are now 71 without any wicket in 13.1 overs .  This has being the best start in recent time for Nz and if they can capitalise it they can easily surpass 350+ runs as they have wickets in hand .

Edit 1: NZ got good start as openers already added 70 runs for opening partnership. Kiwis must be looking for 300+ runs on scoreboard.

In 2nd semifinal of  U19 World Cup between NZ and Bangladesh, Bangladesh won it very easily chasing a score of 212 , they reached it in 44.1 balls and 6 wickets to spare . Now on Sunday we have a World Cup final between India and Bangladesh and would be a real contest to watch . India might just a little stronger then Bangladesh but on that day being a final pressure would be totally different .

I always though New Zealand were a better team than the Bangladesh and I also lot a bet today.  Cry
Bangladesh play very well and never let Newzealand settled in the match. Would they be able to keep the same performance level in the finals. I doubt on this. Final of a Would cup is a pressure and India is much better & experienced team. But if you bet on Bangladesh, you will get better odds but the risk will be high.
I am not expecting any resistance from Bangladesh as India is much superior in all fields they will win this easily but if Bangladesh have good day then may be we will able to have some good match but until now for me its all about India as all boys giving very good performance in field bowling and batting this is perfect winning combination.

Indian team both the National team and Under 19 one are playing very well cricket and its hard to match their performance with the rest of the world.
Ever since they introduced IPL, they have managed to gather a lot of good talent and also by playing so many tough matched in that competition, they have increased their mental and physical strength as a player.
The IPL has boosted the performance of the players, it also made a big change in the scoring. Once after these kind of leagues organised by different countries chasing of 200 runs were taken easily. This way scoring pattern differed, rather than these factors Indian players have made themselves adopted for the changing climate conditions when playing away from home. Earlier whenever India plays against New Zealand in New Zealand the climate change played big role.

I feel good thing is they are going from grass root and its best because most of players came through lower level if they able to adopt this all system this can turn fortune of thousands sports persons but still its need some good time to do all this I am watching in recent years many good things coming from there as they are spending good money on sports and infrastructure.

And yes tomorrow is another do or die game for India as if Nz wins the match they will win the series. India would definitely will come out with some special plans to tackle NZ batsman .
New Zealand played the first game without their main bowlers Trent Boult, Matt Henry and Lockie Ferguson are injured and their captain Kane Williamson was also injured and still they were able to win the first match and it will give them the confidence coming into this match, i am expecting India to come up with a good game plan and hence i am not confident to whom to wage a bet but expecting a good match and even i too think that the toss is an important factor as chasing would be fine in flat pitches.

Based on recent history, India seems to lose the 1st ODI and comes back strong in the 2nd ODI and wins the final one too which is why I strongly feel this will end in the same manner too. However, the Indian bowlers need to improve a lot.
I was having the same theory that India will loose a match in the series and i was expecting that to happen in T20 series but they won all the matches and white washed them and when they lost the first ODI even after scoring a huge score i was shocked to be frank and this time i am expecting India to play better but the toss is an important factor.

Anyone following the under 19 world cup? For the first time, Bangladesh is playing a final in any of the world cup tournament. In the last edition, they managed to play semi.
India has a great team and the chance for Bangladesh to win is very low. Anyone there with a great stats or analysis? I did not watch a lot of matches.
Read about this in the news. Never knew that something like this was running. Looks like Pakistan got defeated again even in this format. Also, Yashasvi Jaiswal is currently trending for all the right reasons. He has a bright future ahead of him.

2nd ODI between England and SA have started and after winning the toss England decided to field and took an early wicket of Kock. SA are now 38/1 in 6.4 overs before the rain have interrupted the match . Hoping that match is not reduced and we can see witness full 50 overs and it is an exciting contest .
The match is washed out and with the first match won by South Africa and the second one washed out and England need to win the third one to level the series and tie the series and if South Africa is able to win or the third match washed out South Africa will win the ODI series after a disastrous Test series.

New Zealand and India playing their second ODI tomorrow and if New Zealand will be able to win the match then they will win the series so India will be well prepared to win the second one and hence i am confused on what bet to put.

This was so unfortunate that match has being washed out and now total depended on third match which is donor due for England as they lose it means they lose the series and just in case if that also get washed out due to rain still they lose it .

And yes tomorrow is another do or die game for India as if Nz wins the match they will win the series. India would definitely will come out with some special plans to tackle NZ batsman .
