Indian selectors will be worried now. Some of their bench players have performed beyond expectation and now it will be difficult to drop them once the regular players are available. Shubman Gill, Deepak Hooda and Axar Patel made use of their chances to the fullest extent. Yuzvendra Chahal proved once again that he is one of the top spinners in India, at least for the T20 format. But this is not applicable for Sanju Samson. He got a chance after long wait, and still he couldn't make use of it. Now Rishabh Pant and Ishan Kishan will continue as the first choice keeper batsmen for India.
Great outing for the new guys as a whole team, some say it's good to have such headaches but surely selectors hardly enjoy when they sit around the table because if you pick winning team then no one is going to write op-eds as you already have an excellent bench strength but if team loses then selectors are the first to face any backlace, that's where nepotism-favoritism accusation surface among fans.
Feel bad for Gill, he again missed out his maiden ton, again! This guy can't catch a break. Having said that i felt he was bit selfish as soon as he touched the 90's. Before he was going at nice pace but slowed down his inning for a ton. It was dead rubber so it doesn't matter much but situation could have been very different if it was important match.
