It is clear that bitinstant is shorting everyone's orders. I dont think they have paid back anyone that was shorted in the thread. Has anyone been shorted and then had their "second issue" resolved where they got the rest of their bitcoins according to the order price?

URSAY? update? I know, I know bit things coming on friday etc. etc. like I really care...

Anyone that used zipzap and gave me their zipzap #s...

I am about to resend your orders thru manually.  I find this can resolve the issue in some cases.  However, not all cases are resolved in this way and I will need to forward zipzap issue with further problems up the chain.  I will post a list of people that have been pushed thru manually in a moment.

Zipzap:

Can someone help me ... do I need bitinstant before opening up an account with mt.gox?

nop. you can just open an account, and for example sell bitcoins.

if you wanna buy bitcoins, you have first pay money on your mt.gox account. for that are many possibilities (even bank transfer) to get your money on mt.gox.

with bitinstant it would be the "fast" way. but in the moment it does not seem to be "fast".

Can someone help me ... do I need bitinstant before opening up an account with mt.gox?

If you're planning on buying/selling through MtGox  you're going to need some kind of way to get funds into it.

I believe there are several that you can use, but as of yet haven't used any of the options.

I am waiting for my Dwolla account to get some funds transferred then going from there.

I think the approach I'm going to take is to purchase privately from some trusted source on here.

Building trust is my next step.

Ok........ then I'm f*cked

how long you already wait for your money ??

i still hope, that they only have too much work now, and organisation-problems with the huge explotion of the market. cause anyway, they are long time in bitcoin-business.... and also did read about many times, where finally people got their money. so we will see.

but of course, its not "instant" at all - at least now.
For me it has been 3 hours, all my btc value frozen and price rising up. If I get my money in several days bitcoin price can be mutiplied.

I don't know if you should blame Bitinstant or Bitstamp

Bitinstant of course.

Their notify mail after the transfer says:

Hey there,

This is to notify you that your order has been updated, please find the details below:

Thank you for your transfer to BitStamp

OrderID: (...)
EventID: (...)
DestAccount: (...)
QuoteID: (...)
User: SYSTEM
DestExchange: bitstamp
eventtype: Order executed
EventSentAt: 1365582440.7
APIResponse: {"error": {"amount": ["You have only $17.03 available. Check your account balance for details."]}}
FundsSent: $99.11 USD

So of course, looks like they dont have any funds on bitstamp anymore.

the same errormessage many other people got - you can find much of them in the forum, in other threads.

eg:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitinstant-investigation-community-effort-171473
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitinstant-order-executed-no-deposit-170921

and further more, also mtgox is to blame somehow, cause look what they write about bitinstant on their support page:
from: https://support.mtgox.com/entries/20490576-Withdrawals-and-Deposits

BitInstant is a 3rd party service that enables Bitcoin traders to rapidly fund their Mt.Gox accounts using a variety of payment methods in an extremely rapid and secure manner.

and:

Quote
Instantly fund your MtGox account with cash through BitInstant.

Thanks to our US based partner BitInstant, you can now deposit cash through Bank of America, Chase, Wells Fargo and Citibank!

so..... this gives the feeling of a secure serious business-partner. but in fact, the blamings about bitinstant here in this forum are really extremely rising the last days.

i dont know what to believe, as it is the first time i did transfer money with them, and of course already got problems. not nice.

at least they should be online and say something. in a billion-dollar-world-wide-business you cannot just make a lunch-break and stop your business without saying anything (also they are on facebook, and also their almost no reactions).

puh.... i did find MANY threads in this forum about bitinstant ..... - but of course, as "newbie" i can only write here.

it seems many many many people have similar problems just now with bitinstant, and escecially transfer to bitstamp.

so as now, i see it could be possible that i lost my money.

but of course, i still hope, that ´cause of bitcoin-buiness is "exploding" in these days, of course some small businesses statted like a hobby, or with 1 or 2 employee, and when it comes that here is 10 times or 100 times more work then before, it would be hard to handle this. where to get 10 or 20 workers instant? and buy 10 or 20 more computers a.s.o. - and still nobody knows, if when all this is a bubble, all will disapear as fast as it came. so..... - we will see. i still have the hope, that bitinstant is *no scam*, cause the owner is here in this forum since 2 years with more then 2000 postings. but of course, it could become "too much" for him to handle. i hope so. it would be better to get the money in some days (or even weeks) than never.

but of course, could be the other way around, too .... and its lost, dont know.

also of course mtgox should not offer this "withdraw with bitinstant" on their webpage .... if its not working anymore. this is also part of trust (into mtgox), when it seems like they have some partnership or at least recommendation to bitinstant.

this kind of things just have to work, before the "huge guys" are willing to enter the boat.

and for me even 100 dollar is much.
I have lost more...

I don't know if you should blame Bitinstant or Bitstamp

It seems bitinstant isn't a reliable service?

Still trying to get the hang of things.

Hi, I just spent $500 USD through a MoneyGram payment to ZipZap for order 7924de2b-a041-4d7e-ade5-884915d66293

I recieved an email saying that Coinapult had deposited 0.00 BTC in my account(I did the direct to email option)? Could use some clarification about this please, I am really worried that I just lost all my money. Thank you!
