do you know how much a good design can cost? If it is not too expensive I'm willing to pay it out of my pocket; otherwise, would any of you be willing to share the expenses?

I believe we could ask jayce about this...

Mmmm, I already thought about him because he is the most famous here, but as he is not the only designer in the forum and I don't have the pleasure of meeting him I preferred to know your opinion.

If you know him and if he would be your choice I will contact him in private so he is not forced to disclose his prices in public as this may be too personal. Thanks Gazeta Smiley

At same time, I noticed that our topic is translated only in Indonesian, Spanish, Romanian, Portuguese, German, Filipino and Russian. Perhaps the other translators could translate it in other languages? I mean in Greek, Polish, French, Turkish, Italian, Arabic, Hindi and Portuguese.

Not only our topic but there are still several languages missing from ongoing translations. I was planning to send a friendly reminder via PM to all the translators this weekend without fail, but please do it yourself if you feel like it.

Buchi-88, please, notice that fillippone asked to announce the reservation in his thread. I'm not sure if that applies to us too, but I posted mine there yesterday, just in case, to avoid the possibility of duplicating tasks.

I finished the translation today and also posted it in fillippone's thread. All that's missing is my proof reading and it's complete.

Thank you Buchi-88, I have just updated the list with a link to your translation.

fillippone's idea for this topic was not to make a literal translation but to search for sources of information in our own native languages and adapt it, so it was indeed a bit tricky and maybe too difficult to be one of our first proposals, but I hope that with the contributions of other participants in the German board you can collect such sources, apart from the original ones in English.

wanted to let you know that finally the german translation of this 'monster' thread is ready: [Education] Bitcoin Privacy and Anonymity by Husna QA and DoomieChikito
i have been working on it for a few days and hours and i am even more happy that it is now also available for german users with less english knowledge: [Aufklärung] Bitcoin: Privatsphäre und Anonymität

Very strong performance and in this short time, respect and thank you. Merits are distributed.

Dear AOBTers, although a bit late this month, I've just updated the summary of each translator in our OP with the latest data Wink

Yay! Great job, Porf!

Dear AOBTers, although a bit late this month, I've just updated the summary of each translator in our OP with the latest data Wink

On the other hand, a few days ago Peanutswar wrote to me proposing the idea of creating a signature for our group. At least for the moment we won't be able to create any paid signature campaign (if ever), but he was asking because members and/or volunteers might be interested in wearing it in the absence of a better one, for example in the interim between the ending of a campaign and being accepted in a new one.

I remember that some of us fantasised about it when we created the Alliance three months ago, and I'm not sure whether this is the right time, but I don't think the discussion will hurt: do you know how much a good design can cost? If it is not too expensive I'm willing to pay it out of my pocket; otherwise, would any of you be willing to share the expenses?

New Translation IN PROGRESS

IMPORTANT!!! read before translating: 5 Resources to teach Average Joe about Bitcoin

If no one else has reserved the theme yet via Personal Message, I would be reserve it, think I will have it completed by the end of the week.

will start next week with the german translation of this topic and am already very curious how long i will need for it Shocked Wink

Good luck with the translation, it's a very long and involved process, I honestly wouldn't have the time for it.

Great coordination! Wink

Both topics require extra effort, but they are worth it and can help a lot of people.

That's the spirit cygan! Smiley thanks for your commitment.

New Translation IN PROGRESS

IMPORTANT!!! read before translating: 5 Resources to teach Average Joe about Bitcoin

1)
Everyone who is going to translate any topic should make an announcement on this thread beforehand to avoid any confusion. As a fist step everyone should check the OP and previous announcements to check in how many languages the article have been already translated or it is going to be translated. Doing translation is a complex, time consuming and requires a considerable effort. Doing the same translation means double work and I hate the double work.
2)
This is a tricky one. Translating this thread means also finding good resources in your own language. This might prove hard, but crucial to spread the knowledge of bitcoin in your national community.
3)
Don't use GT to translate in your language. I carefully crafted my post: I don't want them to be ruined using the cheap syntax and dictionary choices of GT. Take your time, understand, learn and then translate. No hurry.
4)
Just include a clear reference to the fact the content you are posting is a translation of an article of mine and also provide a link to my original post. This is enough. As a courtesy I will link your translation in the below table.

Although we are already used to points 3 and 4, translators who want to undertake this work must follow all the rules above under penalty of rejection. Remember that all translations made pro bono are always voluntary, what shouldn't be an obstacle to strive for excellence.

Oh, are you talking about our monster topic? Cheesy yes, it's really interesting, but very long and difficult too. Thanks for the recap, Gazeta! And cheer up cygan!! 💪 💪

Out of them, I'd like to propose to be translated first of all 5 Resources to teach Average Joe about Bitcoin.

This is a very interesting topic, but mostly for reading it than translating it... Those interested in translating this topic should understand that they have to find their own resources in their own language and insert them into the translation.

So the translation of this topic is not a word by word translation and it needs some more effort: the translator should translate the topic content but he has to find links (resources) in his own language (eventually from his own country) and use them as examples for "teaching average Joe about Bitcoin". So this "average Joe", if he is reading this post in Hindi, for example, the Hindi translator should insert Hindi links in the translation, links containing useful materials in Hindi language thus the Hindi average Joe will understand Bitcoin in his native language.

Please also be aware that fillippone is against word by word translation of this topic and he objected to a Bengali translator which did not use links in Bengali for his translation. So those willing to make this translation should make sure they have resources (websites, books, other materials) in their language and implement them in the translation.

I'd like to propose a new topic to be added to the list of translations IN PROGRESS: some time ago, Gazeta and I talked about this list of topics and that it would be good for the forum to help translating them (well, in fact he did it on his own long time ago).

Out of them, I'd like to propose to be translated first of all 5 Resources to teach Average Joe about Bitcoin.

Before we start, please fillippone, let us know if you have any objection. I have read your guidelines about translations and if you agree I'll point them out here also, so we make sure they are followed.

I wish you good luck with that! (Especially if you intend to do also a Polish translation of it  Cheesy) It is a huge topic, which has 11 additional posts (which should be also translated) and it'll take you a while... If I remember well I did it in 2-3 days or so, spending a few hours each of those 2-3 days... The topic is useful, nothing against that, but it needs a substantial effort for translating it. As you can see, from all AOBT users, only Porf and I translated it. The other 2 existent translations were both made before the apparition of AOBT and from those 2 translations one is made by the author himself.

Therefore, if you will start working on these translations you have my sincere congratulations for such courage Smiley

As the topic [Script] Imgur to TalkImg - automatically fix your broken images no longer seems to be necessary, I'm moving it to the list of Translations FINISHED.

Dear AOBTers and guest stars Cool

It is over three months now that we created our Alliance and in the last month alone we've finished two translations pro bono and a little paid translation, which are good indicators. As the topic [Script] Imgur to TalkImg - automatically fix your broken images no longer seems to be necessary, I'm moving it to the list of Translations FINISHED.

In a few days I will update every member's data in the OP and, if nobody is faster, I will propose a new topic to be translated pro bono very soon. Keep up the good work!

Thank you AHOYBRAUSE! good job!

And congratulations to the AOBTers mindrust, ale88, gagux123 and special guests AHOYBRAUSE (again), Becassine and Unbunplease for successfully finishing our first paid translation as an Alliance for Just.bet.

I hope we get new projects very soon. Stay tuned!

Thank you for the opportunity to participate in the translation campaign. I have enough time to do translations of any complexity, and I can also create and moderate threads in the Russian section.

It was a pleasure to work with you Unbunplease, and rest assured that we will contact you every time we have a Russian translation that we cannot handle. It is good to know that you are willing to also moderate threads in your local board: potential clients may be interested in such services, especially in a section of the forum as active as Russian.

Thanks for the fast payment for the JUSTBET project !

Maybe in the future I can also help with bigger translations but for the moment I could only do smaller ones, like the recent.
Japanese is hard to research when it comes to technical terms, even if you have a high N level.

Since it is not my or my wife's mother language this gets tricky at times.

I also asked some Japanese friends because of some crypto related terms and even they didn't know them.  Grin

Anyway, let's keep this alliance rolling.

Thank you Yatsan. Peanutswar posted it a few days ago in your board, but excess is better than deficiency Wink

Although there are still a few hours left to end the contest, I have moved the links to the list of Translations FINISHED. Please, remember that this is announced in the forum, but images must be uploaded to Discord in order to qualify.

I tell this because out of 90 entries only 26 submissions were made there, so if you participated but didn't realise that, hurry up!
