Well you say you don't have a portfolio, but in fact eleven topics is a very good start and can be considered a portfolio even if you don't have them in a list.

Our initial idea (my colleagues will correct me if that's wrong) was to recruit translators from the main local boards and we were not thinking in the category: "other languages". But, since Bangla is the second most viewed language in that category, I think that we could make an exception here.

Please, let us discuss it internally and vote, and we'll let you know the decision in a few days, this weekend at the latest.

Thank you Chilwell, I have just added it to the list. As Hatchy said, this is an important thread so we should try to do our best, especially taking into account that this event may last several/many years.

Please, from now on coordinate with Hatchy before translating new topics: as he said that he has enough time to handle all translations, that way we will avoid duplicating tasks.

Okay I will make sure I work under is supervision in any of my translation, as you said all what we are doing now will be here for many years that is why I have to try my best in any of my translation, I am fully ready to work hand in hand with Hatchy to the development of gang and also to our local board.

Wow @ Chiwell, that's very fast. It's nice you decided to do the Translation of that thread and I really appreciate. But the idea about Translations isn't to be fast.
I decided to go through your tranlation and do a proof reading, and found out that it was mostly in English and not pidgin. I'm not saying you didn't translate or shouldn't have translated it, but I'm saying that you should have taken your time to do the Translation. When translating in your local language, you should be able to replace most English words in your local language. Although pidgin is most of English, but it's more of broken English and we do have many words that can be translated to pidgin.

Here's my proposal for you.

I am in full support of Hatchy to be the main translator because he has been active in our local board naija, I may have more translation than him for now but that doesn't mean he is not capable, I really honour him with the way he is treating all the translated topics. I just saw this. Hope I'm not replying late. Well I actually recognize @Chilwell as one of the most active translator in my local board and so far he has the highest Translations in pidgin.

I'm currently not in any signature campaigns and so, I don't think I would be needing any backup translator as the Translations aren't that bulky. If it be that I do need an extra hand, I will surely ask @chiwell for help. As you said, we already have a Pidgin translator who recently joined the Alliance, and our rule is that once we have a main translator for a language, as long as other members don't have any reasons to not invite the candidate, the last decision is main translator's. Maybe he is capable of handling all the new translations himself, or maybe not and he welcomes the help.
