Hey Porf, please be aware that an Urdu translation has been provided for Campaign to improve posting quality for local boards. The translation was made by someone which is not part of AOBT -- HONDACD125 -- but I believe it can be mentioned in our topic. The Urdu translation can be found here: پوسٹ کے معیار کو بڑھانے کے لیے مہمات.

I hope that this will give more courage to others to try to work on this translation.

I don't know anything about a new edition of this contest. Maybe it's too early yet? However, it won't hurt to contact the last year's organiser directly.

In any case, if such contest will take course, I agree that it should be translated in as many languages as possible. Count on me for Romanian translation!

Mmm, not so early IMO, taking into account that there are only two weeks left for Halloween, and that last year's contest's thread was opened on October the 8th.

ChiBitCTy, are you already planning a second annual contest? Considering the success of the first one, a new edition is almost mandatory Smiley We will be attentive to whether a new contest is held, but if you read us let us know here too.

Guys, I was thinking... Anybody knows whether there is a Pumpkin Carving competition planned for 2023?

This is an event that I especially like, and I would like to propose to translate it in our local boards to encourage participation, but I've checked Games & Rounds, where I think it should be posted, and found nothing. Please, let me know if anyone knows if it's planned or not. Otherwise, I will contact last year's organiser.

A new project is interested in translating some crypto related content into two of the languages we cover. Both translators have been contacted already. In a few days we should decide the best way to manage this kind of tasks: please, if you have any ideas you want to share, answer via PM in the conversation we opened a couple of weeks ago and thus we will have advanced some work.

Indonesian translation is also done. This is so incredible, as this topic got 12 translations so far and it has most translations from all the topics this group translated.

Thank you dansus021! Great job!

Porf, please add this translation as well to OP.

Done Wink

<...>

Thank you for this update, joker_josue! The changes have been implemented on the Romanian translation. I hope that the other translators will make the changes as well.

For better visibility, the changes which should be done are the following:

- remove the older "New" strings from earlier versions
- add the new implemented sections -- ZIP Tool and Statistics.

Thank you for the summary, Gazeta. That's what I thought at first glance, but you have saved me the time of looking into detail just in case.

Changes has also been implemented in the Spanish translation (roughly two minutes of editing).

I translated it into Russian
Campaign to improve posting quality for local boards
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.62904978

I tried to adapt this topic as much as possible for the Russian community and have already received the expected criticism.

Thank you for your efforts, zasad@! You are the first forum user which manages to create a proper translation to this topic (although there was another earlier attempt -- but it was never finished). I know, creating an adaptation was not easy, so a big congrats to you for making this possible.

Despite the trolls, I still believe that we can improve the posting quality inside local boards and the more we try to help here the more chances we have!

I would like to take this opportunity to inform you that I made an update to the TalkImg OP.

All the new translations have been added to our 2nd post (let me know if I forgot any), and AgoraDesk has been moved to the list of finished translations.

In the future I suggest not to translate more ANNs pro bono to avoid further spam accusations, and stick to educational topics. Paid translations are welcome, as said in the OP, but I think it is better not to mix them with those listed in the 2nd post, that are made altruistically, because it can lead to confusion.

On the other hand, I'm glad to inform you that I went back in time (in one piece) and avoided the recent dispute, so nothing happened here Smiley

I think that, unfortunately, I have a pending task moderating this thread after the last events Roll Eyes

Please, reconsider your words and edit your posts when necessary, like AHOYBRAUSE said, after some sleep, before I clean up this mess in a few hours when I get back home.

+1  Smiley

I tried to adapt this topic as much as possible for the Russian community and have already received the expected criticism.
Don't be discouraged because a few (possibly) uneducated but (at least) shitpost apologists or even low-level posters have appeared there and tried to belittle our campaign. It happened in my local board as well: the most butthurt offenders will show up there and belittle any effort to increase posting quality. It's nothing unexpected and it's a good sign that our topic is overdue.
I've addressed the criticism here more in detail because it's off-topic in AOBT: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.62911675

It might appear that some sorts of translations are causing indeed a considerable amount of discomfort, especially "advertising" translations. We had some experts in our local board. And I've had discussions with our incompetent moderator @mole0815 in the past as well but that was only because he didn't move them into the appropriate sub-section (project development, as we don't have a sub-section for project ANNs). In my opinion, "advertising" translations are legitimate* but should be posted in a section, where they belong and are not offensive.

1miau, no one (including me) is saying that advertising translations are something bad. My proposal initially was that translators of service announcements should also at least once test the service they are writing about.

...
Well, any sort of "advertising" translations getting offered here (or not getting offered) is not my issue because I'm not a member of AOBT.
Porifiiri even opposed it from what I can see.
But maybe we can have a clarification what this post should achieve?
I don't want to misinterpret it and that's why I've only cited the most obvious parts.
To keep it on-topic here, I would like to suggest to keep the discussion about our posting quality campaign in the dedicated topics.

That's a short sum-up of what happened.

Wow, what happened here? It's really sad to see such comments.  Cry

I would like to clarify some points about the current situation.

First, I'm happy to have your viewpoints here and it's already nice to see, that we can get into a solution.  Smiley Smiley

Just some points from my side because I believe it's just a big misunderstanding:

1.

You know, there is a type of people who are capable of finding a problem out of nowhere and inflating it to cosmic proportions. At the same time, creating conditions for differences in provocations and the spread of gossip. Such people will continue to provoke, even realizing that this will lead to absolutely nothing; for them this is already a kind of excitement, a game. It’s just that people who try to play such games do not take into account the fact that one day they may come across a person who will react to their provocative games differently than they expect.
If that part is intended to be addressed against GazetaBitcoin, I have to say it's entirely different from what I've experienced. Unfortunately, we have a lot of trolls and abusers here on Bitcointalk and maybe some of these trolls got offended by being called out by GazetaBitcoin and GazetaBitcoin had "to pay the prize" for calling them out (= getting baseless rants from these trolls all day, like our perv Timelord). It happened to me as well and these trolls can come out in a strong force. It's a common thing how trolls operate, when being called out, these trolls try to run amok and cause big upheaval.  Cry

2.

It doesn’t remind me of anything, let’s look back 3 years and remember the old schizophrenic nullius, who is famous for his delusional statements addressed to almost all trusted users:
We all know that nullius is an idiot and an abuser himself (I've left him a negative trust as well), when he lost his mind completely by negatively tagging fillippone.
nullius should be nowhere near DT (not even member of DT2), while GazetaBitcoin has proven to be a valuable DT1 member in my opinion and I appreciate it to have Ratimov in DT1 as well, that's why I hope the issue can be settled in a positive way.  Smiley

3.

* also depends on which site / service / shitcoin / scam  Lips sealed etc. is advertised

As for resolving the conflict, there is only one solution, this is to roll back the system to September 24, 2023, 05:39:45 PM, that is, how everything was at that time.
+1
I'm hopeful, that we can just settle it here, everyone remove distributed negative trusts and is nice again. As a DT1 member, everyone has a skin thick enough to sort it out.  Wink
And we can continue here to be on-topic because it's [AOBT] discussion here.  Smiley

as announced by me a few days ago, the two translations from the original thread: [ANN] AgoraDesk.com | Buy ♻️ Sell Bitcoins Anonymously! are now translated into german and polish

Thank you for your efforts, cygan! Much appreciated! At the moment I am waiting only for the Indonesian translation.

I found a translation
[ANN] AgoraDesk.com | Buy ♻️ Sell Bitcoins Anonymously!
in the Russian community

I already announced that, zasad Smiley But thanks for pointing it out once more.

Later edit: 5 translators already accepted the new challenge, for Pidgin, Bengali, Filipino, French and Russian languages. So these languages can be excluded as well. (In fact, the Russian translation is already done.)

All in all, the topis is translated now in the following languages:

German: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-agoradeskcom-kaufe-vekaufe-bitcoins-anonym-5468026
Polish: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-agoradeskcom-kupuj-sprzedawaj-bitcoiny-anonimowo-5468148
Portuguese: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-agoradeskcom-compra-venda-de-bitcoins-de-forma-anonima-5457337
Romanian: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-agoradeskcom-cumpr-vinde-bitcoin-anonim-5458954
Spanish: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-agoradeskcom-compra-venta-anonima-de-bitcoin-5465463
Arabic: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/agoradeskcom-5456111
Bengali: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.62896006
Pidgin: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-agoradeskcom-buy-sell-bitcoins-anonymously-5467954
Filipino: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/tlsann-agoradeskcom-bumili-magbenta-ng-bitcoins-anonymously-5468041
French: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-agoradeskcom-acheter-vendre-des-bitcoins-anonymement-5467877

So if any other translator is interested in working on a language which is not covered yet, he can always come up. Having that said, considering that the topic is translated already in 11 languages and in one more there's a work in progress for it (Indonesian), I believe that the topic can be moved to finished translations. Thank you all for involving in this translation and finishing it so fast. Wow!

TranslatedWhore, you're still here, fuck you again.

Yes, I am still here, as I am part of this group and I will remain here, to defend all these users which you call incompetent and, since you have no proof for anything you say, you act like a clown inside this topic.

Now even more people see your true character. So congrats for making all this circus! It only helps more and more people to see what a shady, slippery and low moral character you are.

P.S.: in case you did not notice, your posts here started to be deleted. I warned you that you are breaking forum rules.

TranslatedWhore, you're still here, fuck you again.
Wow, what happened here?

What happened? Not much. Ratimov just wanted to prove himself what a great DT user (and also good forum contributor) is... He came around, threw some insults towards translators, did not make any proof for his BS... Then, when I confronted him with the fact that he does precisely what he accuses the translators of (but, unlike him, I presented clear evidence for my allegations) he went nuts, started to insult me in the way he was taught, prolly by his parents, then he flexed his muscles once more to show how well he uses Trust system and how much he deserves to be in DT1, by throwing at me 2 negative feedbacks (both with no ref link) plus a neutral one (again, with no ref link), all stating pure shit.

That's a short sum-up of what happened.

But Ratimov, I can say whatever translation I have done from GazetaBitcoin's topic, he even checks a single space and comma that he may notice. I do not see any serious reason for this fight. Ratimov, I had an excellent impression of you. I haven't seen any single F words in this thread from GazetaBitcoin but you. If someone criticizes you for something you did in the past, you could handle them better than you did here.

Thank you for your intervention, Learn Bitcoin. Apparently only 2-3 people dare to intervene when this clown gets mad. He thinks he is overpowered for some reason, just like the old perv TimeLord or like Rizzrack, as they made same mistake in the past, without realizing that the situation can turn against them.

You really had guts to intervene here. And, as you see, the clown did not dare to reply after 1miau's intervention, nor after yours. But he will certainly do it after I will reply, because I irritated him that much that his control and showed once again his true face, lol. He tries to look decent in front of others though, but only until someone dares to speak the truth in front of him. And the truth is that he is a pathetic plagiarist, which fooled a huge part of the forum to give him tons of merits for someone else's work; and that he also managed to get inside DT group, where he does not belong at all, for abusing this system in any way he wants (among others, by leaving ridiculous / lying / false / retaliatory feedbacks, also with no ref link. Just like TimeLord did.

You had a good point at the start, and then when Gazeta pointed out that you did not update the images in your own translated thread, you started attacking him.

Lol, you noticed that, right? this is exactly this clown's problem: when you tell him an issue he has he starts attacking you! At least, if he would leave people in peace, he could avoid such situations where he fills himself with mess. But no! He has also to start attacking people out of nowhere, like he did here, when he started to insult the translators, without bringing any evidence for his claims. Then, when is is proven that, in fact, he is the one doing exactly what he accused the other of, he attacks like a ridiculous clown. And if you keep maintaining your statements then he switches to very bad insults, which shows even more what a scumbag he is. Look at those expressions! Who can be that low to use such language?

So, why are you too concerned about a translated topic when there are many more spammy things around?

Similar to TimeLord, he is concerned that he goes out of victims. So from time to time he goes here and there to pick new victims. In this case, AOBT translators fell for this "honor". Too bad for him, I was here to remind him again that if he talks about "incompetent translators which do not update their topics" then he should look at him, first of all; if he talks about "shitposts" he should remember his plagiarist era, when he managed to eran thousands of merits impersonating other authors -- now those posts were the shitposts!!!

I understand that others may feel intimidated to speak-up due to Ratimov's 111111000000 merits (obtain through plagiarism) or they are also intimidated by the fact that the clown will leave them negative feedback, but don't worry! This clown does not belong to DT1. I hope that other users will take some actions about this disgusting behavior.

What is going on here?
It's frustrating to see the heavyweight fight in the forum. Both of you contributed to the forum in unique ways.

You had a good point at the start, and then when Gazeta pointed out that you did not update the images in your own translated thread, you started attacking him. Basically, you are accusing the translator of not understanding what they translated, and they do not update the topic. Forget about translation; hundreds of original threads are backdated, and the creator did not bother to update them. So, why are you too concerned about a translated topic when there are many more spammy things around?
