This is just a heads-up: I will also perform this translation tomorrow. I will come back with the link from Romanian local board.
I will do the same and finish the translation for tomorrow too. This one is not very long, so it can be done in a short time.

My translation is here: TalkImg.com – Găzduire de imagini pentru BitcoinTalk.

Thank you for your interest cygan. I speak for myself, but I'm sure that all other members of the Alliance will feel honoured to welcome you to our initiative.

I also support cygan's application. He is very professional and I was very pleased by all translations he made for me!

I also suggest to change the "[NIG]" indicative from OP (which was used for Nigerian with "[PID]" -- from Pidgin. A Nigerian user corrected me and explained me that I should use "Pidgin language" instead of "Nigerian language".

And one more suggestion, made to all AOBT users: each time when you make a free translation please add this sentence at the end of your translation: "Translation made at AOBT inițiative.".

I can recommend Unbunplease as an English to Russian translator. He seems to be the one (if not the only) who is filling our local Alternative cryptocurrencies section with projects ANN and news translations. I will send him a link to this topic. Perhaps he could be interested in joining your gang Cheesy

  • Polski: Main translator.

would apply for the polish translations as well as the german ones and thus be a kind of backup for Buchi-88
i have translated numerous topics from e.g. GazetaBitcoin and fillippone (to name a few) into these two languages in the past, such as:

Thank you for your interest cygan. I speak for myself, but I'm sure that all other members of the Alliance will feel honoured to welcome you to our initiative. We will usually ask for a little pro bono translation in order to check the commitment of new candidates, but as your good reputation is known to all and you have already translated one of our proposed topics before, we can skip that requirement.

I will add a new rectangle for you as the main Polish translator when I update the OP with the new data in a few days. If Buchi-88 agrees, you can also be the German backup and help him with that board. As Becassine says: Plus on est de fous, plus on rit ! Cheesy

Translations of the topic of "Governs are coming for traders!" are available in Bahasa Indonesia at the following link:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/pemerintah-akan-mendatangi-para-trader-5448203

I add some footnotes according to the conditions in Indonesia.
<...>

Great! Thank you Husna QA, I have already added the link to the list of translations.

Slight correction:
IND is the country code for India.
Indonesia's country code based on the IOC is INA; Meanwhile, based on FIFA and ISO 3166 is IDN.

Reference: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_alphabetic_country_codes

Oh, I see. I was thinking of using HIN for "Hindi" instead, and IND for "Indonesian" (not the country code, but an abbreviation for the language), but if this is going to cause confusion I will make the pertinent corrections and use it that way from now on.

I add some footnotes according to the conditions in Indonesia.

[1] Peer-to-peer decentralized exchanges may difficult to find in Indonesia; Another example of an exchange that provides P2P features is Binance P2P (https://p2p.binance.me/en).
[2] Bitcoin ATMs in Indonesia are not longer available since a few years ago. So, exchanging crypto assets for fiat money or vice versa through this method will be difficult to do in Indonesia.

Thanks Miau for your understanding, and no harm done, we're doing this for the forum.
<...>

Thank you for pointing that out! and thank you also on my behalf, 1miau.

I have just translated in the Spanish board the last topic recommended by Gazeta. I also added a note clarifying that it shows the opinion of the author, and that some points may not apply if we take into account the ever-changing Spanish or Latinoamerican legal framework on cryptocurrencies.

Updating both links (Buchi's and mine).

Hello, I've received Buchi-88's PM and we have sorted it out. It's a bit unfortunate since Buchi-88 wasn't aware of my reservations here. The topic "12 years later..." is still available and not reserved by me.
Topics reserved by me are listed as "reserved by 1miau" in GazetaBitcoin's list: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/help-me-translate-my-best-posts-in-your-local-board-5379715

I've agreed that Buchi-88 can publish his translation despite my reservation and I've also offered him a proofreading.  Smiley

Thanks Miau for your understanding, and no harm done, we're doing this for the forum.

OK the page Help me translate my best posts in your Local Board from GazetaBitcoin I don't know it but in the future I will always check it first when Porfirii suggests a translation. And thank you for profreading, it's always not easy to translate texts in the I form.

So good for all of us in the future for the whole board.

Hello Buchi-88, have you seen my earlier post?

Hello, unfortunately no, I completely oversaw your post. But I will contact miau right away that it was my mistake and I completely overlooked the reservation.

But the two topics are similar but not the same?

I have translated the following: Governs are coming for traders!
Meow is working on this one or: 12 years later and people still don't know to use Bitcoin nor what it's good for

Or am I misunderstanding something?

The topics are not similar and, certainly, not the same. Furthermore, 1miau is not working on the topic 12 years later and people still don't know to use Bitcoin nor what it's good for:

I appreciate it very much to have your confirmation and I would like to reserve your offered topics from your list except 12 years later and people still don't know to use Bitcoin nor what it's good for as it's a very long topic

So practically he reserved for translation all the threads I listed here, excepting the one which you thought he is translating. Precisely that one he is not translating.

And I specified earlier that German translation for Governs are coming for traders! is not needed, as it was reserved by him:

Here is my proposal for AOBT users: Governs are coming for the traders!. [...]

Please be aware that this topic was already translated in Romanian (by myself), while German translation is reserved by 1miau.

Other than that I don't know what else I could have done for preventing such a confusion...

But I will contact miau right away that it was my mistake and I completely overlooked the reservation.

Please do that. It's not the end of the world and I am sure he will understand. Mistakes may happen to us all and he is an understanding person Smiley

I have someone who can translate Welsh, also French and Spanish.  Qualified as fluent in all three, would that be of any use I'm not sure if you want more then just a single person per language.   Very surprised no one is here for Chinese as its the more populous country in the world, multiple dialects surely would qualify as a valid audience.  Hindi is covered but similarly India but Ive no idea of demand, just India and China surely will grow as a target audience.

Thanks for your comment STT. We are looking for native speakers, experienced translators, who are also active in Bitcointalk's local boards: as you said, ideally a single person per language. In my case, for example, I'm fluent in three languages, but I'm only valid for Spanish if we take into account the above criteria.

About Chinese, I agree that this (these if we talk about Mandarin and Cantonese) is the most spoken language in the world, and we are looking for a Chinese translator to join our Alliance. About India, Hindi is already covered by amishmanish.

As a month has already passed since we created the AOBT initiative, I will update the OP very soon and we will announce new vacancies in a few days.
