Each person will have different experiences towards the exchanges but when it comes to me, i never experienced any issue with the poloniex exchange. Still, i am trading some of the coins in the poloniex exchange, of course, now they lost little reputation in the market but in the coming days, they can manage to increase their volumes.
Their golden days are over and it will never go back. They had an ugly history of services and that is the last thing that any business owner would want to get compromised. I also liked polo but not because of their service but only because of their popularity and great volume. There isn't a lot of choice back so imagine the worst that could happen if they still dominate trading.
