Hi.  I am using the windows cli wallet right now.

I went to the ETN website and I can't seem to access wallets or download an upgraded one.  Are they essentially down right now and not making a wallet available?

I can continue to use this one however it may be compromised and I want to setup another separate wallet and sweep this one.

No, you need to access the following page :-

https://downloads.electroneum.com/

In all fairness the UX on the website for level one should include downloads, as apposed to just in the footer.  However, I guess they want to move people away from the CLI so this may be intentional!

I have yet to start mobile “mining” as I have to wait for the iOS release, but I was wondering if internet speed will also affect the hash rate. I can’t remember it had to do with the phone’s hardware only, or if internet speed was also a factor (if that were the case maybe that could explain why some people with the same phones get a different Hash rate). Thanks.

I don't think that mining will prosper. It is becoming more and more expensive and difficult. Mining will parish in a few years I guess

You don't know what are you saying.

Guys how many coins per day are you able to get with your phones? With my S9 I manage to get 4ETN/s lol? Let's make a quick comparison.

With the very low price of Electroneum I prefer buying it then mining it, it's not worth mining it right now when all you can get is just 4 ETN that only worth 20 cents and you are mining the whole day, I wonder how many people are mining Electroneum.

But mobile phone mining will make involve more people into this project. It depend on the people choice if you are not interested than you have your own choice but I think this network will keep growing more strong.

Monero have seen this coming, just tweak the algorithm and the ASIC hardware is wasted!

Interesting though as GPU could be dead for all coins!!!!...

Monero POW is changing to CryptoNightV7 in about 15 days, so I don't think you can sell this as a monero miner..

Just saying  Roll Eyes

They can change pow as many times they want, if its stays 1mb then they can mine it, same as gpus, only big thing is if they increase MB requirement, but i heard that 10GB asic miners are coming so, even ETH, ETC, ZCASH will be dead for gpu miners

Of course this coin can attract more people, but it will attract if the coin price is higher.

In the initial ANN post reports that the ETN is not responsible for the pool in this listing, so what is the official ETN pool for mining?

Hi, can someone please explain to me how people are achieving 2,766.479 KH/s when I though mining this coin was suppose to be ASIC proof. If I do my math, a really good graphics card can achieve about 1 KH/s. So you want to tell me they are running 2766 Cards in a cluster?

My humble 580's give me 1,000Kh/s and the vega 64 can give you 2,000Khs.

I guess there are better cards that give you even more!

ETN is based on Monero and they are preparing to address future(none known at present) ASIC miners and I am sure ETN will follow.

https://www.ccn.com/monero-declares-war-asic-manufacturers/

One minor tweak to algorithm and ASIC hardware is wasted :-)

wow. 4 etn. Great  Grin  then you can buy every 4 weeks a burger at mcdonald. a lot of fun with the phone. what did you pay for the mobile phone?

Around 500 euros mate, I pre-ordered it and gave back my good old iPhone 6 and I received a discount of 150 euros Cheesy I did not buy ther S9 just to mine ETN with it tho Cheesy Cheesy I just needed an upgrade, cuz my iPhone was getting reaaaal slow, not to mention that app dev is focused mainly for Android phones, and iOS devices are put a bit in the background.

That is a nice upgrade! I'll hang on to my S8+ for another year though. I'm trying to be sensible for once and not change my phone like I change my underwear. I was seriously tempted by the S9 though. Enjoy!

But I really hate that feeling when you just got your brand new phone and can't get enough of playing with it, and then within couple of days - "Check The New S9 Coming Out Next Week"  Cheesy Roll Eyes
I know the feeling of buying a new phone and seeing the next gen released right after the purchase, but that is exactly why you should be reading tech rumors!

Still one pool finding (almost) all blocks ?!  Embarrassed I see most of the other pools without a single block for a week or more and miners leave

come onnnnn people spread the hashrate a little bit please  Undecided

Which pool would this be then ? I'm mining on Spacepools for some time now (with good results) and these are the blocks (average time 2 mins) it's been finding https://etn.spacepools.org/#pool_blocks
I've also used MiningPoolHub, average block time 14 minutes or so, it's OK but I think Spacepools is a little better https://electroneum.miningpoolhub.com/index.php?page=statistics&action=blocks

any update on CLI wallet? it's not even syncing.
you guys are a mess.

The CLI wallet has been updated and is working fine as I just tested yesterday. Did you update you wallet after the fork ?

Yes it is working perfectly fine, I think people should look into things and try to sort stuff out before attacking the developers. Sometimes it's down to user error, or because something needs to be done our end.
