I know that, that is why It is very misleading and totally unnecessary, especially when advertising it as top feature of a coin.

Then why did you say it would burn a battery in minutes? Why would a simple drop to users of an app need enough power from the app to drain a mobile battery so quickly?

Don't want to be a party pooper, but mobile mining is missed concept from the beginning. What you gonna burn your battery in minutes to get 0.02ETN? When you aren't even actually mining?
Better to have coindrops and other social raffle activities than to stear hot air in voids of hype slogans. Come on be serious and focus on massive adoption and simple mobile to mobile transfer and usage ecosystem. Leave mobile mining BS aside, because it makes every other good concept of ETN look bad. Focus on name branding, adoption and anonymity advantages. Don't mention mobile mining. And yes people need desktop wallet, on-line one is slow, laggy and extremely shallow in its core and content (check NXT for comparrison).
I personally use CLI wallet that works just fine, but people need graphic app. Come on it's not so hard. I am nowhere near coin developer, but wouldn't afford such toddler like mistakes and blind roads.

155 pages in and people still think the mobile mining is going to destroy batteries...

Hint: The mobile miner IS a coin drop.

where the hell is an iOS wallet?! 40M raised and cant afford to hire a decent developer? ffs... that online wallet is hosted on such a shit server, that im flabbergasted. How much do you pay for hosting? 8usd/mo? get a proper freaking server AT LEAST. Shit developers will kill this project...

Apple has different requirements than Android for apps. It is easier to get an app approved for Android than it is for IOS

Why they are taking lot of time to release the bounties and people kept asking questions about the bounties in bounty thread but no one is answering. It will take just 3 hours to send but they are taking lot of time to send the ETN coins.

The bounty management is a whole mess because no one in the team is assigned to the task apparently... There should be at least one guy in the team taking care of that to make sure everything is done properly, like in any other ICO.

Soon it will be 3 months that i'm waiting, and no one in the team takes the time to answer, i participated in 50 bounties, and  this is the first time i see this for a succesful bounty, very disappointed

To be fair, it is the holiday season, maybe people are taking vacations (I don't know, I'm just guessing).

No, i'm not just talking about 2 past weeks. And all other bounties i participated to had no trouble sending the tokens( and the right amount, not forgetting half of the work) even less succesful ones

I agree that if this has been going on for such a long time, that is good cause for frustration.

@contraband

Does the mining in the app serve any purpose besides getting a few free Electroneum coins?

I like the idea of bringing cryptocurrencies to the majority of people this way. But it feels a bit like a waste of power (electricity) if your phone is running a mining simulation. Our phones could then at least help to calculate for cancer research or something like that.

Could you please explain a bit, what the app actually does in that area. How CPU intensive it is. And how quickly it is going to eat my battery.

Do you also have information on the iOS app?
Apple doesn’t usually take this long. Or is the app not finished yet?

Thank you and happy holidays.

Electroneum is cool. but this coin is more profitable https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/del-2413943
Well at least Electroneum has a new interesting feature (mobile mining). What does Fonero have, that Monero does not have?

Funero is not even listed on https://whattomine.com/ !!!!

Advertise somewhere else!!!!

ETN is my first coin, and Cryptopia is my first exchange.

I honestly find it to be a very easy to navigate exchange. The fees are the only downside, especially since you can only withdraw a certain amount per transaction (which is also a good thing, if for some reason something messes up or you put a wrong address you won't lose everything) but at the same time causes you to have to pay a withdrawal fee every time in order to get all your coins off the exchange. Other than that I've had no problems so far.
Actually trade fees on Cryptopia are lower than for example on Bittrex and withdrawal fee not sure how much is it but Cryptopia has low fees too.

Yeah the trade fees are reasonable. They have to change the ETN withdrawal fee at some point though, as it's 10 ETN...a bit high.

cryptopia is a trusted exchnage. been using it for over a year and a half, but i dont have any problem with it. the only thing im concern with is the withdrawal fee of btc which is extremely high.  other than that, you're good to go.

BTW, i really want ETN to be listed on other exchange. hit is a good one, livecoin and liqui

I agree, there is nothing wrong with Cryptopia, but more exchanges are needed.
Single market coins are subject to far too much manipulation and greatly reduce the number of potential investors.

Definitely true. Having token to only one exchange is really prone to be manipulated. They should better have alteast an additional of one or two more exchange.

Would love to see ETN on Bittrex and Binance, personally. Never had an issue with either, I use Binance only to buy Neo due to no fees, but I mostly use Bittrex due to higher volume and much faster filled orders. Also, if there's any way to pair it with fiat, that will definitely help to push that coin away from BTC dominance.

I move money in and out of Bittrex with no problems. I also got enhanced verification on my 2nd attempt. I would use Bittrex over many of the smaller exchanges available at the moment. Literally any exchange can get hacked, go bankrupt, or pull an exit scam. People want unregulated market, and as soon as they encounter the things they were warned over and over about, they cry about it.

Any exchange comes with risks. Someone new sees the Coinbase and Bittrex issues going on and starts parroting the same things without having issues. This is definitely not the case for some, and to those that have legitimate problems I am not directing this towards you.

Hello, I'm not at home at the moment and I'm using a laptop where I have 32-bit windows. I have electroneum coins and I wanted to run electroneumd and then electroneum-wallet-cli, but it's a 64bit version. Is there a 32-bit version? If so, thank you for the link.

If Electroneum has a solid team that can push to get real world merchant adoption it's got everything to become THE crypto token of choice.

We know that BTC has lost that battle.  I can see Electroneum hitting a multi-billion market cap in the next 6 to 12 months.
