This clearly shows how City was only playing half the field against Arsenal. They struggled to break their opponent's defense. This is because their opponent did park the bus. It's even forcing Pep to sub some key players to equalize. They have been so awful since Haaland scored their first goal.

I was disappointed that they couldn't get the three points. But, I take the joy of them equalizing the scores in the last minute.
That is Arteta's ingenuity in anticipating attacks from Man City which are very dominant in making attacks and we also know the closeness of these two coaches who used to work together, so it is not surprising that the tactics given by Pep to his squad were read by Arteta in Man City's game scheme with this draw. In my opinion, Arsenal deserves appreciation in holding Man City to a draw as the host, it is not easy for Arsenal but at least Arsenal did not suffer defeat even though they have to be in 4th position at this time, for the next match Arsenal will host Bolton and Leicester a very busy schedule for Arsenal at least Arsenal can win in the next two matches, in order to smooth Arsenal in the top standings at least back to second position or the top of the Premier League standings.

Arsenal performance yesterday was very interesting. Though I almost lose hope after the red card in the first half because of how strong man city are I was thinking that Man City we won them in the second half but to my greatest surprise arsenal players was able to hold the game 2:2 draw full time. However, looking at the wonderful performance of arsenal yesterday against Man City I think they are going to do more better in the premier league title this season.

I salute Manchester City but I salute Arsenal more because Manchester City were still unable to equalize the score until normal time and only in the extra minute they were able to score a goal to make it 2-2.
Something that is not easy to do for a team playing with 10 players.
Arsenal and Manchester City are still the teams that will compete tightly in the title race with Liverpool. These three teams have a big task with several competitions that they are playing this season.

I was hoping that Arsenal would be able to pocket 3 points, but it turns out that Man City has admirable tenacity. We as the audience also get carried away by the atmosphere and feel the tension throughout the second half. It's a shame that Trossard did something he shouldn't have done. Maybe if there had been no red card incident, the match would have been even more exciting.

Arsenal seems to have a more promising performance and mentality this season, and Man City really have to be wary of them.

I, at a time thought the referee was in support of Manchester City winning, because if we see how the second goal came, and the red card offence in the close of first half, the referee contributed by not ending the game earlier.
Still, it was what wanted to happen that actually happened. At least next time, Manchester City will know better than to underrate Arsenal in any encounter, and would know that this season is going to be hotter than last where Chelsea flopped along with Manchester United.
After the match was over, I immediately opened my X social media and saw michael oliver, arsenal, Raya, guardiola becoming a trending topic based on what happened in the match, based on media X, I saw that many people actually thought that the match was damaged after the red card was issued by michael oliver in the match, many speculated that the red card should not have been issued by the referee, but if it was  the red card was deserved because Trosaard kick the ball to slow down the game, of course Doku who also did the same thing also deserved to be given a red card in the match, but regardless of the reason and form of injustice that occurred in the match, of course many parties claimed that in terms of game and also performance, Arsenal won the match even though they played with 10 players than manchester city,  Even after the game, Guardiola also admitted that Arsenal tactics of play were natural and he would also do the same if Manchester City were ahead but played with 10 players in a match.

People who watch football without bias these days will tell you that,  Arsenal should have won this game but tue officials for this game single handedly supported a side yesterday.  Its now very plain that Mikel Arteta has grown to be one of the best managers in the Premier League Competition and I would love to finally see him win the trophy.
Arsenal are not always parking the bus but they had to do thi gs that way so they could either win tat game or share the spoils.  I'm not gunner but I say that they was the better side who should have won that game. The rivalry between them have been interesting and at tue same time fierce. VAR and match officials should do better in the Premier League Competition.

The two drama-filled games above ended in a 2-2 draw today. Brighton who were leading 2-1 against Nottingham eventually failed to secure 3 points at home. Ramón Sosa forced Brighton to share the points in the 70th minute with his goal - while Manchester City also drew. As can be seen in the picture above - it was truly the two best games of the week.

I'm not really happy with the draw between Manchester City and Arsenal - but it's a shame, Manchester City are so hard to beat. Even with a few minutes left - Arsenal failed to score the second and final goal from Manchester City in this match. Arsenal were forced to settle for a draw after leading in the first half until a few minutes before the end of the match - clearly a mistake they should avoid when leading.

Manchester City are not so hard to beat, we saw that yesterday against Arsenal, when you pay attention to their players age, they're all getting worned out and old. A good side with good energy and counter attacking system can hurt them badly. Michael Oliver spoiled that game, the whole world saw what he did. Officials in the Premier League Competition are goddamn biased.
Nuno Espirito Santos is one manager that did well during the pre-season games and he's yet to lose a game in the Premier League Competition. Next week would be against Fulham United, all I see is Nothingham Forest winning that game.

City - Arsenal match ended 2-2, but Arsenal would have won the match very easily if Arsenal had not been down to 10 men.
While the match was 1-2, Trossard received a red card for the second yellow card in the extra time of the first half and Arsenal were down to 10 men. In the second half, City attacked the Arsenal goal for a goal, but Stones scored the goal they were looking for at 90+8. Extra time worked very well for City today. With this draw, City increased its points to 13 and continued its leadership.
Very easily you say? I doubt if it would have been an easy win for Arsenal without a red card. Manchester City had more goal attempts in the first half which means they were more in control of the game until Arsenal equalized and added a second goal and even at that City were still in control. The red card was at the end of the first half so it affected the performance of Arsenal players and they have to try and defend their lead which gave Manchester City more confidence to keep attacking until they succeeded in scoring an equalizer and shared the points at Etihad Stadium. It is so unfortunate that Arsenal had to suffer like this and still concede at stoppage time.
Manchester City fought hard enough to win this match but they did not succeed instead they managed to draw the match due to Arsenal's strong attack. When Arsenal took the lead in the first half, it was Arsenal's strong attack that allowed Man City to score. However, the Arsenal player was red carded towards the end of half-time and the team was left in a bit of a rut, as a result of which they did not defend well afterwards. If Manchester City hadn't scored late on they would have lost the match but Arsenal's red card saw them attack more powerfully and Manchester City equalized at the last minute.

Brighton drew 2-2 with Nottingham Forest at home. Despite falling behind in the 13th minute with a penalty goal, the home team equalized with about 5 minutes left in the first half and managed to take the lead in the last minutes. Brighton couldn't maintain their 2-1 lead in the first half and conceded the second goal in the 70th minute. I think it was an important 2 points lost for Brighton who had more possession and created more chances than their opponent.

Brighton walked away with 1 point, and they dropped 2 points. Their defense was so sloppy defending in the late game. They were also showing how they struggled against Nottingham's low-block strategy. They have no one with the skill set to break down their opponent's deep defence.

They fought back well in the first half after a poor 40 minutes. They scored their two goals after escaping their poor play. Their poor defence at the second half let their opponent equalize the score.

I think the draw achieved by Brighton is already a good result rather than having to suffer a defeat because Nothingham Forest's recent performance is worth watching out for, this club was able to beat Liverpool at Anfield and that was a surprise so it could be that it's not Brighton's defense that is bad, it's just that their opponent's performance is trying to put pressure on the hosts so that they have difficulty balancing their game.

Quote
Although they got a draw against Nottingham, they still keep their unbeaten record. Their defense needs to improve to beat Chelsea in their next game at Stamford Bridge.
I think that is a challenge for Brighton next because Chelsea is not a weak club like last season, they have won a lot recently and in their last match they beat West Ham with a landslide score without reply so Brighton must play a defensive strategy so that Chelsea players have difficulty breaking into their goal.

Yes, since Trossard was taken off the field Arsenal didn't have much effort in counterattacking and playing the ball more, actually this is an interesting game if Trossard was not taken off, it might be true as you said that it would be an easy victory for Arsenal because they took the lead before the situation was reversed in the last minutes of the second half which ended with a draw, even though I know Arteta is fully focused on playing defense but still they conceded and had to give Man City an equalizer goal.
Basic experience from what I watched in previous matches it's very difficult to survive if Manchester City is ready to attack all out the defense. Arsenal should have continued to attack, not only survive to make the city doesn't focus on attacking. But so far, Arsenal is quite good especially David Raya who has very concentrated to block the ball into the goal. Strategy pretending injured also are unable to maintain their score 1-2 so that situation must be a correction for Arteta to not repeat it again in the next match.

In this match, both sides are missing their key midfielders. On Man City's side is Kevin De Bruyne while on Arsenal's side is Martin Odegaard. So we will see a battle between Haaland and Saka up front. Arsenal will need Bukayo Saka to continue his consistent form. On the other side of the front line, Man City's most notable attacking player is, of course, Erling Haaland. Erling Haaland is still aiming for his 100th goal for Man City in all competitions.

Man City did lose De Bruyne, but his role will be replaced by Gundogan and Rodri. Guardiola will probably make a similar game scheme when the second half of Man City faced Inter in the Champions League.
while Arsenal, I think must maximize the role of Declan Rice, Partey, and Saka. However, Man City is an aggressive team in attack. now they are playing in front of their supporters. they will maximize all opportunities.
Haaland opened the scoring in the 9th minute. Arteta must direct his players to get out of the current pressure.

Although Haaland managed to score a quick goal in the 9th minute and made it 1-0 but in reality, it did not make Arsenal pessimistic because after all, Arsenal managed to turn things around with two goals made in the 22nd minute and 45+1 and thus, Arsenal managed to win at half time with a score of 2-1. But even so, it looks like Arsenal will still have a difficult task because Leandro Trossard got a red card and thus, Arsenal only played with 10 players for the second half.

With the red card, it will certainly be a big regret for Leandro Trossard if at the end of the match Arsenal failed to maintain the victory he had in the first half. But indeed, because in this Arteta era that Arsenal also became a good team then maybe, Arsenal will maximize their defense in the second half because they only played with 10 players. But for me personally, even though Manchester City are playing at home and seeing the situation and conditions like this, it looks like it will still be difficult for Manchester City to win despite being superior in number of players.
So with a classy goal against Arsenal, Man City striker Erling Haaland has officially reached the milestone of 100 goals for Man City club. Haaland has equaled Cristiano Ronaldo's record for the fastest time to score 100 goals for a club.

Trossard's dismissal just minutes before half-time caused controversy. Arsenal fans question why Michael Oliver did not book Doku. Did the referee team in charge of the match make the right decision?
I saw Man City trying and thought Guardiola's team would lose at home. It took until the last minute of injury time for Man City to find the equalizer at 2-2 with Arsenal. It was a shame for Ten-man Arsenal to drop the win against Man City in the last minute of injury time. Anyway, with one point in round 5 of the Premier League, Man City still maintains the top position with 13 points after 5 matches. Arsenal dropped to 4th place with 11 points, behind Man City, Liverpool and Aston Villa.

I noticed that although Brighton had more possession than Nottingham Forest, Nottingham Forest showed that they can score goals without having to play a lot of the ball, this shows that the quality of the offense done by the Nottingham forest squad deserves appreciation because they managed to make Brighton not get a victory with their power to play the ball.

Manchester City v Arsenal match has been going on wonderful so far!  Smiley  First Haaland scored and now Calafiori gave an incredible answer. I think this amazing goal is the best start Calafiori could have made in the Premier League.

It is a pleasure to watch Arteta's game against Manchester City all the time. I'm really curious if Guardiola will figure out a way to win this time. He couldn't in their previous 3 head-to-head games.
It was a speculative shot but it was very much on target which made it a good goal for Calafiori whose debut goal was quite beautiful for Arsenal Cheesy
Arsenal immediately changed the scheme of the game after losing 1 point and actually the defense was quite good although indeed their concentration broke down during extra time which allowed Manchester City to get 1 point in today's match.

Regardless of how Arteta planned this match, I was honestly quite entertained even though Arsenal's focus was on defense but it didn't make the match boring because we could see their determination to keep the points was very good even though in the end it failed.
Actually I expected one of them to lose this match but seeing what they showed then I can say that this 1 point is worthy of Manchester City and Arsenal.

I sure did not expect Arsenal to be able to take a 2-1 lead in the second half while down to 10 men against Manchester City. They defended magnificently, only finally letting in a goal in the dying minutes which made it 2-2. The next game for them against Liverpool will really prove how serious contenders they are. To move third, at least they have to win that game or draw and remain fourth. But displacing Aston Villa seems quite tough; more so because Villa are likely to win against Ipswich in their next match and that may lift them into second place on the table.

If, however, Arsenal cannot beat Liverpool, or at least draw with them, then the story will be quite different. They could be in danger of dropping from fourth place, and this is where the pressure comes into play regarding the teams below them; the kind of pressure that can see them drop out of fourth spot especially with other teams breathing down their necks and also in good form. Liverpool is a team always tough to get points from which means if Arsenal does not get points they might lose ground on momentum standing-wise.

Yep. The match has ended with a draw result.
I don't know why you assume Arsenal will win easily the match if they didn't get a red card. It is Man City, it is impossible to win against them easily even if Arsenal has 11 players in the field. Even the red card really drops the chance to win, but we can't deny that Man City is the strongest team in EPL. However, the credit point is for Arsenal, they struggle well until the end of the match and get 1 point from the match. It is something great to get a point with 10 players against Man City.

While the match was 1-2, Trossard received a red card for the second yellow card in the extra time of the first half and Arsenal were down to 10 men.
Arsenal was not in good luck, it was too bad to get a red card in the first half of the match. With losing 1 player, Man City fully dominated the match. I see Man City even could win the ball possession up to 78% and they made 33 shots. Meanwhile Arsenal only could get 22% ball possession and made 5 shots only. This is like a training match for Man City.

In the second half, City attacked the Arsenal goal for a goal, but Stones scored the goal they were looking for at 90+8. Extra time worked very well for City today. With this draw, City increased its points to 13 and continued its leadership.
The extra time seems quite long, mostly it is under 5 minutes. Sure, it worked well for Man City, they could score in minute 90+8'. And the match ended in 90+10'. Well, this draw makes both teams to get 1 point, Man City remains in the top of the EPL standings. Arsenal dropped to 4th place now, it is under Liverpool and Aston Villa.
