They have every right to feel that way but they need to give Amorim some break. He is just starting the team and he is the only person that see what we the fans are not seeing. Not only that, yiu also need to consider that there is much demanded which he is not even an excuse but he will get better with time. I know Ruud had a great 3 weeks with the boys but I he isn't the man that was assigned as permanent coach, he just need time to do what everyone is asking or him.

The only think of Manchester United is that they gave so much time for Erik to waste their time and now they are they are trying to even get above top and even the minor ad moving gradually on the table. If Ruben Amorim do what is necessary for him to get the club in a better place, I have some confidence in their success because he brought some assistant coach to him, this is how he manage his games in sporting, similar wlll be done here.
Yea you are actually right here, they should just give the man a break, he is not the cause of the club failure during the tenure of Eric ten hang, this Manchester united team has regress so much under the leadership of Eric ten hang, so a lot of works needs to be done to return Manchester united back to it glory days, so he needs a whole lot of time to pass his coaching ideas and playing system across the minds of all his players, so Manchester united fan should just let him be.

I know that most of their fans are now comparing him to rud van nistelrooy, in my own opinion that's not a good idea, because rud van nistelrooy knows the club and the player more better than him, so he needs time to know the quality of his players, so that he can establish a playing system that best suit them, so time is very much essential, and that what he needs.

I find it weird that some people hope Amorim will transform Rashford into prime Ronaldo or whatever. It's clear from his interviews that he will likely sell a lot of players and bring in new ones that suit his style. Pretty sure the same people will bash the United's board if they decide to stick with RvN after three games, calling it a rash decision or whatever when they lose a game or so. If I were the board, I'd give him at least one season to change the squad with a realistic target of achieving the top 4. Demanding a trophy after half a season with terrible players is unreasonable.

Although Manchester City will still manage to be or finish in the top four, but Manchester City seems to have lost the chance to return to the top of the standings if in the next match Manchester City lose against Liverpool.
I think some pundits believe that City won't target the Premier League this season and prepare for a transition period instead. They extended Guardiola's contract for another season of squad building so that he could leave the club with a good squad just like Klopp did with Liverpool. I can see that. After all their key players get older and trying to replace all of them in one window is impossible even if they have all the money in the world.

And they have every right to feel that way, we are talking about a terrible team they are facing, doesn't matter if it's his first game or not, he should have been able to win this one, so it was a bad result and the fans have every right to reserve judgement on Amorim now. They were cheerful when Erik Ten Hag was fired, because he was terrible, but this is the type of result that he would have gotten as well, so we are waiting to see how Amorim will make better adjustment. Doesn't mean that he is going to play terrible, maybe United will do much better in the near future, maybe they will go on a winning streak, but fans are going to be not so much hopeful and they are going to feel a bit worse about all of this until they get a win.

Man City is about to face the Dutch Feyenoord in the Champions League round five in a little over an hour. This is their chance to break the bad spell and end their 5-long losing streak.
Feyenoord are not pushovers, they had a couple of good games in the league recently and have proven they could be dangerous e.g. by defeating Benfica 3-1 in an away game.
Nevertheless, bookies still have a very high faith in the City, as they're the big favourite with odds at x1.17 (x15.00 for Feyenoord).

And they desperately need to get their confidence back before Sunday's away game against Liverpool, who are now x2.16 favourite, while the odds for the City are x3.20. Losing in Liverpool would be a disaster.

Obviously, with the bad situation experienced by Manchester City lately, of course it will make Liverpool will maximize the moment to beat Manchester City at Anfield. Because that way, of course Liverpool with Manchester City will be very wide for their point gap in the standings. But indeed, although Manchester City have suffered three consecutive defeats in the Premier League, but Machester City are still in second place until now.

But, if for example Manchester City really lost to Liverpool, and if for example at the same time Chelsea, Arsenal and Brighton won, then Manchester City would be in fifth position or maybe also only down and in fourth position. Although Manchester City will still manage to be or finish in the top four, but Manchester City seems to have lost the chance to return to the top of the standings if in the next match Manchester City lose against Liverpool.

It was hard to believe that Amorim is capable of achieving any other results without changes.
If Amorim didn’t sign new players, then I don’t think Manchester United will achieve anything serious, he just has to allow some players to leave the club and then sign some players. It’s obvious that Manchester United's problem is not only the coach, but some players need to leave the club, and Amorim will have to be given time to improve the club’s performance, Manchester United fans shouldn’t just expect changes within a short period of time. When the transfer window is open, I am sure he will sign some players who will be able to play the pattern that he wants.

What fans want is something fast. However we can see United in bad condition, and his arrival to the team will make there will be great expectations.
Maybe fans do not want to know the process, but the most important thing is the club understands the process. To make United its golden age, of course, is not easy. At that time they had top-world players in the team and when they competed, they were always feared by their opponents. If you want to prepare United to be like that, then it will take a lot of money to bring in players according to the coach's wishes. And the process will certainly be done gradually.
If Manchester United fans can accept this bad position of the team for a while then they must be patient and give time to the new manager. If the management had not sacked their former manager at this point in the season and kept him in charge, Manchester United fans would have put up with him. There is a big difference between organizing your own team and taking charge of someone else's team. Currently, he has taken charge of a random team to catch Manchester United, so he must be given enough time to organize this random team. Maybe this season he will try but it is not possible for him to do the best in this season so United fans should expect something better from this manager after bringing the players in the team as planned next season.

To be honest, Manchester United fans were a little disappointed with the results they had just achieved, Amorim failed to make a sweet debut in the EPL after only being able to draw at Ipswich Town's headquarters. This result certainly makes Manchester United fans return to frustration mode after seeing positive results when handled by Van Nistelrooy.
I can understand what Amorim experienced in his first game in charge of Manchester United, he clearly needed time to end the negative results achieved when he was still handled by Ten Hag. I hope Manchester United's misery doesn't continue on his hands, he needs to quickly sort out the problems that are happening in his squad by winning games, but this will take time.

It was hard to believe that Amorim is capable of achieving any other results without changes. Although a change of coach often leads to the players behaving more enthusiastically on the field. Well, a miracle did not happen, he has a difficult job ahead of him, actually I did not expect anything else, I think that we will be able to see changes after the winter transfer window, when he takes several players from Sporting to Manchester United, and until then he will be looking for which players are suitable for further work with him.

The fans are disappointed because of the recent progress man Utd has during Van Nistelrooy they all put mare expectations on amorin especially after his recent win to man City with a 4-1 victory and a fine display they all expected something like that against the newly qualified Ipswich town
They are much positivity e.g Man Utd holding possession which is not common in man Utds game so he might need more time as amorin also believe In the players

It's surprising how we are all carried away with Manchester united and Amorin discussion to the extent we forgot Newcastle played against westham united yesterday and lost at their home.

Perhaps, Westham united had their best game yesterday after a very long time. They fought hard for the victory and the result justify it. I was actually not confident before the game but it turned out otherwise. The big question now is how long can they uphold a performance like this? Their next game is against Arsenal. What are your thoughts?
Manchester United and Amorim has become a hot topic in forum since he was rumored to have joined Manchester United, besides that the draw that Amorim achieved in his first match as Red Devils coach actually added to the length of the discussion  Grin, the Newcastle vs West Ham match was the only match played yesterday, so it is very natural that many forget about the match other than the match schedule that is played at midnight in my country, But Westham victory over Newcastle is quite surprising in fact considering that Newcastle is more favored in the match, in addition to playing at home, the quality of the squad owned by the two teams have a significant difference so far.
For the next Westham match, against Arsenal is definitely not easy match, but if they can play with the right spirit and strategy,  Of course they could have achieved positive results in the match later, although Arsenal is still the favourite in the match.

Ipswich did everything very well. They have dominated the game and tried so hard adding another goals. They can't score due to Onana's sensational performance. He's the one who saved United from getting bantered by other clubs fans.

Ipswich rarely wasted their chances. all of their attempts were blocked by Onana. They were not fortunate enough.

I was sure they could score 2 or 3 if Onana was underperform.
I do agree that Onana was the man of the match without a doubt, he played amazingly and I believe he might have played his best game at United yet, that was definitely saving the day for United, they could have lost as well.

While I understand everyone coming to defend Amorim, I am still at belief that he didn't do well enough, the tactic of nearly 3-4-3, with one striker but two attackers with the striker, that wasn't really a brand new idea, it is not the thing that will save United. If this is what Amorim wants us to be patient for, then I am pretty sure that even when all of the players are used to this formation and strategy, they are not going to end up with winning every game.

This tactic is old school, and not really that effective, the three defenders is not enough for Premier League, and while the wingers are both wing and also backs, that tires them easily, so you need to seriously have four great ones, in order to replace them as soon as they are tired, and switch them in each game. With the way they are right now, they don't even have two great ones to play, and these players will cause a lot of defensive issues in the future, opponents will be great from wings late stage in every single game, it's clear as day from single match, the tactic is wrong.

We anticipated a lot from Amorim in his debut game against Ipswich Town, and there are high hopes for him. I believe that even if Guardiola came to Manchester United, he would fail because they lacked the ability to beat any of their opponents this season. If Manchester United fails to finish in the top four this season, I will not blame him since Ten Hag failed to get the best players on which a team may rely this season. But let's continue to observe their next few games.

West Ham result is a bit unexpected, Newcastle has hardly lost a home game against any club, and they just lost to West Ham, a team that had won one of their previous three games. Of course, West Ham's victory over Newcastle was important since even Manchester City has yet to defeat Newcastle at home this season. However, victory against Newcastle does not mean we should feel confident in their games, Arsenal is back to its best form, and they will give it their all to win every Premier League game. I am confident that Arsenal will easily defeat West Ham in the next Premier League meeting.

I was very surprised with the way Southampton played against Liverpool yesterday. I didn't expect Southampton would score two goals against Liverpool in this match and even be a tough opponent for Liverpool to beat. But even with the good performance of Southampton yesterday, Liverpool still shows that they had what it takes to beat Southampton at home, all thanks to Mohammed Salah's late goal that gave Liverpool the lead against Southampton yesterday. Since Arne Slot became Liverpool head coach, he has shown good performance and guided Liverpool to the top of the Premier League table, and if continued with the form, he might achieve great things with Liverpool this season.
To be honest, it didn't look like Liverpool expected that neither, they were caught off guard, they expected Southampton to eventually give up, which many small teams eventually do, and the way that Southampton started so well and did alright all through the game, nobody expected them to be this great. In the end, Liverpool still got the win, and they are still leading the league, the gap is bigger now and we are seeing them do very well, I didn't expected them to do this great, and I am quite happy to see that Liverpool is back at the top all over.

At the start of the season, I have to be honest and say that I bet on City to win again, because it looked like City was the only one, and even Arsenal was second in my mind, because Liverpool had a managerial change, Klopp left and Arne Slott came, so I didn't expected them to be this great at all. This is definitely a great move and I am sure that we are going to have a lot more fun with Liverpool when they face Real Madrid at UCL.

It was a really interesting week in the Premier League. We witnessed Manchester City getting destroyed by Tottenham and Liverpool increasing the point difference to 8 with them. I can't say Liverpool were comfortable though. They were really bad at defending against a competitor having a terrible season. They won anyway maybe but Arne Slot had better learn some lessons from the defensive weaknesses.  Sad

By the way this penalty call for Southampton looked odd to me. It looks like the challenge is right outside the penalty area rather than being on that white lane but anyway...

Well the penatly to me is clear because his body was inside the penalty box and thats an automatic penalty it dosent matter even if the ball is out of the penalty box,but even the ball was inside so for me this is a clear penalty. Liverpool has a comfortable lead and how other teams are playing i see only Arsenal making a threat to them

As I predicted before, the Southampton vs Liverpool match will create many goals and 5 goals were scored by both clubs.
Mohammad Salah saved Liverpool from defeat, this victory further strengthened Liverpool at the top of the standings.
Arne Slot's first season at this club was accompanied by inconsistent performances from his competitors, making him have the opportunity to achieve something impressive in his first season,  one title could be Liverpool's.

Of course whenever Liverpool are playing with Southampton they normally find it difficult to win easily, already before kick-off I knew that it will going to be a though match for Liverpool because looking at their past head to head Southampton had a 4-4 draw with them. To be honest with you I was not surprised about the performance of Southampton in that game because already both teams clash are always though. However, if not for the late goal by Mohamed Salah I think the game would have just ended in 2-2 draw.

A less than satisfactory debut for Amorim with Man Utd, but the draw did seem fair because Ipswich Town played very well at home, they were able to match Man Utd and even had better shots on target. With this result, hopefully Amorim can soon find the right formation that suits his wishes plus quickly adapt to the Premier League.

Ruben Amorim said something about Manchester United, he said the team are afraid and slow and you know what, the guy is too right about that because tell me why Manchester United can't win IPswitch Town when they have only win 1 match out 12 matches that has been played? It doesn't make sense, they have draw most but Manchester United are in a better place to win those guys in that game but they draw, that's a poor game but because Amorim is new, I will let this one slide.

The only thing left with this team that is giving me confidence is because they have not lose a single game since Ten Hag left the club, the team has improve small but this is not enough. Been in 12 place in Premeir league table when the table is already half is sounding life top 4 is not guaranteed yes but if the team can comes up with a better strategy to win games, they will improve and with consistency, they can climb that top 4 like the way Chelsea did.

It came as a surprise that Liverpool had such difficulties in beating Southampton. We are talking about an opponent at the bottom of the standings. They really fought back hard.

But Salah is just amazing... He played a big role today with 2 goals as well. 10 goals and 6 assists already in the league. Liverpool would be really sad when they probably lose him next summer.

By the way Amorim started to play with a 3-defender formation right away.  Grin  He really likes it but today unfortunately it didn't work out. But in the long term maybe his formation start working smoothly.
I thought Liverpool would get an easy win in that match. But the result was beyond my expectation. Southampton is the bottom team so I predicted Liverpool to win with a score of 3-0. But in fact they had a hard time getting a win. I thought the match would end in a draw with a score of 2-2.

On the other hand, the result of the Manchester United vs Ipswich match made some fans disappointed with Amorim. Initially they thought Amorim could give United a win because compared to Ipswich, they should be an easy opponent for them. But the match ended in a draw and people started comparing Amorim's performance with Nistelrooy. But I don't think we can expect United to be a good team straight away. Amorim has to maximize the squad with resources so he still can't show the performance like Sporting. I think Amorim will do some rotation and will look for some players in the transfer market this time.

I don't even see where Mancehster United are better in terms of statistics in this match because regardless of anything their performance is still the same even though they are still superior in possession and indeed this is quite natural with the strength of their team, but I don't see them much better than shots or on target because seeing from what happened it was Ipswich who were better in this match.

Honestly, although this result is still good enough for Manchster United and Amorim because they can still save 1 point, this certainly makes them lose the momentum that van Nistelrooy has created in the previous few matches and now there is nothing Amorim can do but adapt faster because after all, as long as he still has unsatisfactory results, criticism and waves of comparisons between him and van Nisetlrooy will continue to occur.
[/quote]

It's pointless to have all this ball possession and not create big chances with it. See how the game Manchester City against Tottenham went. Manchester City was superior in almost all statistics and for Tottenham it was a conversion rate of their chances of almost 60% while Manchester City couldn't score a single goal despite having 23 shots and 92 passing accuracy and superior ball possession. But this is not the first game that Manchester City had this problem and Manchester United has this problem almost all the time. In 80% of their games they have higher ball possession and yet they can't win it.

In the case of Manchester City it strikes me as odd because they have strikers like Haaland and you wouldn't that he isn't able to score when the team generates 23 tries.

I was wondering whether high ball possession is still the way to win most of the games. Most people will give an easy answers and that is the less the opponent has the ball, the less they can score goals, but this has changed for a couple of teams. High ball possession is still not the end game. It is to understand how to make use of it.
