Don't get too emotional about Ronaldo, Erik ten Hag and Manchester United drama, it's just for entertainment. All three parties are to blame for the poor relationship between the coach and Ronaldo. Ronaldo wouldn't have criticised the club openly, he was remarketing them. Don't forget that United is a business brand and he receives his pay from them. His negative comments about the club can scare away investors from partnering with them .
Erik Ten Hag's man management is as poor as it gets. He does not know how to work with players that he is not familiar with, and his system also always requires very specific players. He is also poor at handling pressure from the press, as we have seen him fumble there a lot of times, and in a lot of instances he just says weird stuff, he says things about his players that should not be made public. One thing is being blunt, but what he does is plain stupid.
Manchester United have not been the same since Sir Alex Ferguson left. My vexation with the club is that Ronaldo was meant to move to Manchester City before he was convinced by SAF to return to Old Trafford as their golden boy. I think the presence of Ronaldo in the squad gave hope to the fans and that raised their expectations, they were probably thinking they would return to the Manchester United of old. So when they were not getting positive results, they turned on their golden boy.

Football365I totally agree with the F365 writer, since Sir Alex left, a lot of what Manchester United did was to try and replicate his actions, or his legacy. A big flaw about this is that you cannot really replicate managers and whatever they accomplished, rather you need to welcome new managers, give them money and time, and let them create their legacy. If they fail to do so, sack them, but trying to duplicate past legacy is just pointless.
The coach was also at fault because he failed to give a legend like Ronaldo the special treatment he deserves. He should know that most of the best coaches in the world developed the skills of managing players like Ronaldo. Lastly, the management of the club will take some part of the plan for forcing Ronaldo on the coach. He told the club that the Portuguese captain didn't fit in his style of play. They would have sought means to let the striker leave instead of allowing him to remain in the club.
ETH could have kept relations with Cristiano Ronaldo just fine, but he thought it would be cool to point fingers at one of the best players in the world, and also a club legend. I don't think that was smart from ETH, because that introduced a lot of chaos in the club, and Ronaldo proved to be right about most of it.
