For Manchester city the opportunity in the season with I think it's still open whether it will be made the reigning champions or not, while Liverpool and Chelsea will now continue to be ambitious to chase the trophies they want to win and Chelsea now also have a great squad in the hands of Tuchel so this will be a tough competition for Mancity next season.
It would be pretty interesting to see how City defend their title next season, if all the big teams maintain their form all season long, then it's going to be tough; I'm particularly also looking closely at Chelsea, Tuchel seems to be a tactician and he prolly must be plotting the philosophy to use in order to steal the title from Pep Guardiola.

Having said that, City could prolly switch concentration slightly to the CL next season, and it could give the other contenders a slight edge, after losing in the CL to Chelsea, they'll want to get to that stage again, and try to win it this time cause it's the only trophy eluding them.

@Coyster for Liverpool to challenge they’ll need to splash the funds in the transfer market, and so far they haven’t made any moves for any player’s. Lastly in my personal opinion only Tuchel is the only real competitor for Pep, but if he too let’s success gets to his head then he’ll suffer defeats.
I personally believe Chelsea will be a team with guaranteed achievements under Tuchel, can't imagine when Tuchel can start with his own concoction it could be more dangerous. Previously only as a substitute coach but in fact Tuchel is extraordinary so yes, I will still wait for the surprises Tuchel made in his first season with Chelsea and I am sure Tuchel will give many achievements for Chelsea next season.

If Chelsea can field Haaland or Mbappe next season, then Chelsea will be unstoppable next season with the help of Tuchel. The Chelsea team is very stable. And their midfield and defense are good enough. I think Chelsea have won the title this season only because of the strong midfield.

Tottenham will get troubles (with this transfer season), Aston Villa, Everton will struggle to keep up their surprising performances. Leicester City will have to solve their dependence on Jamie Vardy.

I agree the top candidates in Premier League 2021 - 2022 would be 2 Manchester teams, Liverpool and Chelsea.

After tottenham sacked Mourinho, and replaced him with Ryan Mason, for some reason I think that next season Tottenham will have a much worse performance than 20/21 season. It seems, they can qualify to compete in UEL season 22/23 is a pretty good result for tottenham.

In my prediction, Liverpool are likely to have a similar problem to last season, but they have a chance to be in the top 5, at least in 3rd place. While the champions, it will be more likely to be race between City and Chelsea.
After Tottenham failure with negotiation on several managers, including Antonio Conte, the last of them Fonseca, and the reason of failure in those negotiating is on the future deals that the club can have to improve the team. Now they are negotiating with Gatuso who left his position at FIORENTINA after less then a month for the reason of transfer budget policy. It's a shame when they are gifted with several players like Son Kane and Hojbjerg must provide them with an environment for continuity, that is, to aspire more to achieve success, and this is what Chairman Daniel Levy did not want, this will make the fans of this club go really unhappy with the club situation.

Yes Chelsea will be different next season. It seems that after the UCL champions the Chelsea boss gave unlimited money to spend. The last news they really got haaland seriously. They are ready to buy with the addition of Tammy Abraham. But Dortmund is reportedly not going to let him go for next season, if you look at his statistics 41 goals in 41 games and 12 assists is extraordinary for a 20-year-old youth. So I think that's what keeps Chelsea from giving up. Apart from Haaland, it seems they are also interested in Kane and Lukaku.
It seems Chelsea is ready to sign Haaland by all costs. Although, the young player got talent. He scored 27 goals in 28 matches in the Bundesliga only last season. Chelsea's coach, Thomas Tuchel said, two or three new signing will be very good for the team.
Manchester City is very much also interested in signing Kane, Tottenham placed a £150m on the player. I hope to see Kane in Chelsea next season.

Manchester City are really a great team. They started badly unlike Liverpool. But they made a really huge comeback and won a completely deserved title.
Next season I will support Manchester City to win the EPL again. They have a young squad and I think this will continue for next season. They don't need a lot of new players because if they stay consistent it's very good. Maybe they need a replacement for Aguero who moved to Barcelona

Even if I expect Haaland to move to Chelsea, I can't imagine the attackers would be even more vicious if Haaland was at Chelsea.

This was predictable, after such results and confident play, funding for transfers will be significantly increased. In the new season, Chelsea will want to fight for the championship, this is what everything is aimed at. Well, of course, in the Champions League, they will also want to show high performances, and this requires a strong team with a good bench of substitutes.

With an average quality team, after winning the Champions League, Chelsea will be aiming for both the Premier League and the Champions League title next season. And for that they have to organize their whole team better. Werner is not suitable for Chelsea's attacking lineup. Chelsea certainly need a more efficient striker than Werner.

I think so too. Uncertainty with coach position and good coaches are all in places, Pochettino won't come back. If they only have a Tier 2 coach for a new season, and if they lose Kane or Son, they will be in bad situation.

Tammy Abraham can not get a position, can not win against Werner. Chelsea need to give Abraham more chances and buy another striker.

I am worrying the future of Tuchel. Many coaches of Chelsea were sacked one season after they won trophies. Will Tuchel can have his second season in good?

Smart is not enough, there must be skills
-snip- anything can happen, club we didn't expect may be the next EPL champion.
Although it is possible, but it feel very ridiculous not to say that Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool are the strongest candidate for next season as Premier League champions. It will be very difficult for team like Arsenal, Leicester and others to win the Premier League title because the 4 team I mentioned are always favourite. Maybe Tottenham could be the 5th candidate, but they didn't quite satisfy the 2020/21 season.
This is indeed very difficult, not an unexpected team to win the EPL, but the competition in the EPL is indeed very tight with candidates for several more powerful clubs, for example, as you mentioned, of course now coaches are aggressively looking for suitable players to recruit. from that it can strengthen the squad in the next season 2021/2022.
Chelsea is one of them and Liverpool are sure to overhaul their entire defence and Manchester could be even stronger with the players they want, but the competition is so tight and points like it won't be as far away as last season.

I agree with you because unexpected things happen in English premier league, and this happen so many seasons, the league is too competitive to the extent that you can't predict the next champion title, when the new season will start, I may say Chelsea is capable because they were the most improved team and they played perfectly towards the ending of the season, but anything can happen, club we didn't expect may be the next EPL champion.
Not sure about Chelsea this coming season ... as they are losing to mediocre clubs but effortlessly beating top clubs, (they just lack stability). I'm not a fan of Manchester City but stability is exactly the reason why they won the title. As for the predictions, I absolutely agree, because if the top clubs take points away from each other, then it is likely that someone from whom we least expect such a result will become the leader of the table.

Let us remember Chelsea won the champions League and managed to be in the top 4 despite the poor start of the season.
It's not correct. Chelsea began the last season very very well and they used to be in the top clubs with Lampard. They only fell down in mid of the season and Lampard lost his job because he couldn't fix it.

Quote
The team have sets of young and talented players and are capable of spoiling any teams day anytime. Buying player like haaland is a plus for the team and should not be a priority Considering the huge money they will have to spend to buy him.
Many of talented players in Chelsea are from their academy and Lampard gave them chances to show off in Premier League. Haaland takes spot-lights on many newspapers and transfer news. He is a very talented and productive striker and sure will be a good one for Chelsea.

I don't think Dortmund will sell Haaland. Chelsea desperately do need a striker but Dortmund has already stated that they won't be selling Haaland at all. He is indispensable member of the squad and he was the main goal scorer for them. Even there reports that Chelsea Abrahomovic is willing to give 154 m Euro but Dortmund aren't even budging from not to sell Haaland. Guess all they can do is to wait only.

It is really sad for Chelsea not being able to sign him then. Werner had a terrible season and they need a top striker so bad. Haaland is the best candidate for them but his team are standing on their way. Maybe if Haaland wants to go to Chelsea and convinces his team, we can still see this deal happening.

You boys didn't add your favourite team to OP post yet Wink
I think Trofo will update the pool before the start of the season, otherwise I think I already know which team I will vote for Grin
Can you mention this time?
For this season I think Manchester United, Chelsea, City, Liverpool will remain the favorites for many people. Maybe there will be a change of players and will make some people's predictions different.
But I am happy with Manchester United for the EPL then I want Manchester United to win EPL this season.
Sure, I will vote for Man City again unless there is big transfer contracts that might boost a team performance significantly. In this case I might reconsider my choice Wink
Until now, I don't see something important and City is the best pick. We will have another talk by the end of the transfer market.

It's the English Premier League we're talking about. It is always hard to become the champions two times in a row. When Liverpool started decently, I was wondering whether they would manage to make it. But they were completely out of form for a long time during the season. They still managed to end at the 3rd place though.

Manchester City are really a great team. They started badly unlike Liverpool. But they made a really huge comeback and won a completely deserved title.
