Definitely takes a lot of red paper to make it back on the league, I mean even starting will take days of paper work to let them start again. Right now I think this is just the starting point which will still take time, I do not think that just because they will start training doesn't mean like it will be starting in couple days, even this call back will probably result with another month of no games.

However one thing for sure this means it will be back, even if it means late June, it means it will be back. So they are going to just be ready and they probably got a call from FA that the league will start back, we haven't heard it just yet, but the teams probably heard it from them so they got that call and thats why they are now starting training back again for it.

May be they will not book just warning is enough as now its too much players cannot celebrate the goal really awkward. Angry

Lol I'm sure they can't hold it, especially scoring in a big match like derby or final game, which they would celebrate any goal they score.

This will be very difficult to do as the players after scoring are used to celebrate. In order for this to happen they need to train hard to simulate a goal during training and try to not celebrate.I think this may be done in training but in a real game before this happens we will see a lot of bookings exactly for this reason.
Speaking of booking betting on high number of yellow cards can be a good bet during this time.

Ha! You're right. Though the house would be aware of it as well and adjust the odds following this rule (if it gets approved). But actually, the idea of getting booked when celebrate the goal sounds bit impossible. Imagine all players celebrate the goal and get booked. And they do again in their second goal. Totally madness lmao.

It could be just a request for their player to come back and do some test wether they are infected or not. If no, then they will proceed to train for matches or some other precautions. Well it is still a good news and If thing goes accordingly then we might see some matches to be played at the end of this month ( the latest possible ) .

I don’t think we’ll see any games played until June but all PL teams will return to training 100% in May.
It’ll probably be mid June when we restart tbh!

In response to the they want to cancel everything comment, I got this from a reliable guy I know personally,

Mate of mine in the championship is back at training being told they have to play behind closed doors for remainder so don't believe all you read

Nothing is set in stone and things can change. But again there are very conflicting news and reports saying the opposite to each other.

See I wasn't lying. Its filtering through now

Good stuff, should mean a return to first team training is imminent for them. I already saw that Wolves are going back on Monday 11th.

agree, it could be matches next month, but without audience IMHO
season should be completed, if their is enough conditions for everyone to be safe, it is better than froze it on this point, or cancel it

Speaking of booking betting on high number of yellow cards can be a good bet during this time.

What is your logic here? can you explain a bit more?

It is simple logic.Since I believe many goal scorers will forget about the rule of not celebrating there will be high chances of them being booked with yellow cards thus increasing the number of yellow cards and making this an attractive bet to try out during this time.

Why would they not celebrate? Games have been played behind closed doors before and they just play as normal. England played Croatia behind closed doors a couple of years ago: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/45786472
I believe @$Crypto$ meant that there would be no group celebration among teammates with them huddling around and holding each other. Contact will be limited as much as possible and any unnecessary one would have to be cut off, such as; hand shakes between players and coaches before kick-off and during substitutions et al. It's going to get some getting used to for the players, but after weeks of solitary training, they should get a hang of it.

Maybe there will be no celebration when the players score and just stay quiet because there can be no crowd. This is not cool. Roll Eyes

Yeah, that’s going to be quite sad, there will definitely be a lot less passion shown by players during games. Without fans football is nothing.

The only thing they might not do is when they run over to the fans to celebrate but that doesn't always happen anyway. They could probably just celebrate to the cameras for the fans at home  Cheesy.

Lol that's gonna be awkward. For those who accidentally celebrate the goal would get booked by the referee.

Premier League is a biggest league in aspect of finance but I am neither sure nor agree with the statement that it is the biggest or the best league in the Europe and around the world. Within last 10 years, there are limited clubs from England have won the Champions League. Most of them came from La Liga. Despite of recent falls of performance and competitive abilities from La Liga's team, Barcelona, Real Madrid and A.Madrid, it is unfair to call Premier League is the biggest and best one.

They have biggest football industry, yes.
They have most of best football managers: Kloop, Pep., Mourinho, Ancelotti, (maybe) Allegri, etc. Yes
They have a biggest and best league: Nope or not yet.

I am not sure that is Champions League criterion of league quality. Yes, it is important, but not at all. In La Liga, we have only 2-3 clubs which dominate, but check other clubs from the middle of the table. For example Watford, I think few of LaLiga teams could beat them and they have no priority to play in UEFA league because of very low profit with a high risk of injuries.
If you remember Chelsea when winning CL, they weren't even in the top four in PL. But still enough to win CL

Watford is one of those teams who have a very good solid championship level team but when it goes to premier league it just becomes very hard to be stable.
The level of challenge between Championship and Premier League are huge. That's it. Such a life and such a challenge for Watford and from any teams promoted from Championship every season.

I mean think about it, we are talking about probably the biggest league in the world, sure la liga, Bundesliga, ligue 1, serie a all of that are awesome but premier league might be the biggest of them all, at least right now it is like that, at one point 10 years ago Barcelona was winning ALL the games and we may consider la liga bigger, but right now I think its premier league.

I didn't mean the best league out there as in talent (which they could be right now, thinking about how awesome City and Liverpool has been in the past 2 or 3 years) but more like globally watched and financially everywhere.

Plus, it probably has a bigger history as well, football was I think either invented in UK or just got very famous in UK so they have a very big history as well. They have like 10 level of leagues as well, and its not like Sunday league, they do have Sunday league too but even the 10th league actually has pretty decent football players there, like 40 years old guy who was at 5th league, so not like some fat chubby people like me going on there.

So, I meant premier league is bigger as in the feeling of it, not the talent of players or anything like that, if you ask me it is widely known better, but that's just me, maybe I am biased because I like them so much, otherwise if you look at success I am sure there are many other leagues who are better, la liga to start, but historically they feel like much bigger and ahead of everyone else and more globally known.

Professional Footballers' Association chief executive Gordon Taylor has suggested halves of less than 45 minutes could be considered when football resumes.

Discussions about the Premier League's return are ongoing but Taylor says players are "concerned" about safety.

Honestly, what's the point in this? Why not just do penalty shoot outs or fist goal wins instead? Or just get the players to play the matches on FIFA? It's stupid. If they're that concerned about safety this much and there is a clear danger then games just shouldn't be played. Playing shortened games isn't going to do much for safety. You're still exposed. Either play the games as they should be played or not at all.

Yup!  They prolly still have no idea how to restart the league imo.  They could just be waiting for the right time to announce that they're gonna do it like Ligue Uh and give Liverpool the trophy, relegate the bottom three and promote the Championship's top three...  Leeeeds!

It is definitely risky, think about it you want everyone to watch football literally right now, this is the best time to have football because if you have like a big game right now everyone is already staying at home so millions will be watching, not just in UK but all around the world, probably like 20 million people per game (if the game is a good one) so we are talking about something awesome for the tv channels and teams and advertisers and many stuff. It is really a tough choice, would you prefer insane amount of money and have the ability to keep 20 million at home, or would you pick keeping 50 people safe?

I mean sure I would easily pick 50 people risking their lives of getting infected to have that much money plus having that much people staying at home, but at the same time the question of what are you going to do if it turns out one player eventually got it and spread it? You are going to be responsible for it and will get a lot of hate because of it.
