There’s rumours coming out that we’ll start playing behind closed doors in June & finish it all over 4-6 weeks so the PL season will be completed before August.
Just read something that will surely make you happy if it happens: Premier League season could end after Arsenal, Man City, Aston Villa & Sheffield Utd play again
- Personally, I hate for it to end like this since it also means that Arsenal won't be taking part in UEL for next season.

However, this new report has revealed that the Premier League season could be finalised once all 20 clubs have played 29 matches, meaning only four clubs would need to play again this season.

The clubs in question are Arsenal, Aston Villa, Manchester City and Sheffield United, with those four having only played 28 games. Those four sides were supposed to play league fixtures the weekend that Villa and City squared up to each other in the Carabao Cup Final at Wembley.

It is claimed that the season would be finalised after 29 matches, instead of the usual 38, with the title, European places and relegation spots all being decided following those final two games.

I think I have seen somewhere that if they do not finish rest of the match of the season then they will have some xxx millions of pound in lose so I am assuming if the rumor is true then this is one of the fact working behind it.

Without having football time is slow and close door or open door whatever it is, welcome.

It is just rumour. All plans of governements are depended on the epidemic which in turn will affect the decisions for Premier League. I believe Premier League will only return only one month after everything will be cooled down. For example, the Wuhan has been closely and partially re-openned, and if the same thing happens with England, let's say in June, then the Premier League can return to play in July. And I believe if matches come back, they will be taken place in close stadiums, for safety.
Hopefully that happens because we really miss the English Primier Legaue match but that's how to deal with the local area if it moves quickly of course this will quickly finish from this epidemic yes we just pray that everything changes quickly as before.

I want to watch the Liverpool match and lift the trophy this season because after all this time I didn't get an EPL title.

Liverpool's dream this season will soon be achieved.

The covid-19 pandemic cant be predicted when it will end. But if everyone around the world complies with the recommendations that have been issued, it is possible to prevent their spread and handling can be done quickly and thoroughly. For this reason, I am very confident that football leagues throughout the world cant continue this season because day after day the cases keep popping up and will most likely be stopped.

This pandemic is truly terrible, the virus has scared everyone, worried and affected the global economy and one of the big impacts is that no football match can take place. I dont know what if this pandemic cannot be stopped until the end of the year, truly something that cant be imagined.

We have to obey the local government rules for handling this pandemic because if we keep on coming out, I'm sure more and more will be infected with this virus.
Football is one of those where the competition in the entire European league is stopped due to this pandemic, so what can we do? I think we have to wait for the decision of the local authorities to carry out the treatment that is affected, yes, easy, easy, not until the end of this pandemic.

If football continues then what about the club? will they suffer a big loss? do they have to pay the players at least? I think this is indeed a very difficult situation.

They have not choice but to, whenever the league restarts this year, for the safety of all and to avoid starting another outbreak of the virus, the league should be completed behind close doors, there is about nine games to go, plus the little break the players will have before the start of the next season, then the stadiums can then be gradually opened to fans.

Precautionary measures I'm sure is going to be taken, the league would not rush anything, the government would not even allow them to, football brings thousands of people together, it can spread so easily in stadiums, the need for extra alertness and precautions.

Not only English premier league authority is concerning about "covit-19" but also worldwide sports organizers are facing this pandemic issue. Its quite hard to make any prediction about corona virus. After publishing recent "The Washington Post" report about Atalanta VS Valencia that this champion league match worked as a biological bomb which creates the massive corona outbreak in Italy.

No. That match should be called as a biological bomb that triggers outbreaks of Covid-19 from Italy to Spain, then spreading around the Europe. Italy, itself, had the epidemic before that match already.
Quote
I don't think worldwide sports authorities will take quick decision to continue their leagues or any matches sooner until WHO (World Health Organization) declare anything positive about centuries biggest pandemic ever. Although situation of "Covit-19" is getting worse day by day.
WHO emphasized that the world has still had a second window to beat the pandemic, the first one was missed already by hesitation of the European nations and the USA. Now, we started to see more serious actions from many governments and that can help the world to beat the pandemic. The fight will last for months, at least the next quarter but if the world can fight against it together, we can beat the pandemic, with less expensive costs.

If these epidemics in Italy and Spain show good signals next one month, those nations will be two new lessons for the rest of the world. After China, and somewhat South Korea, we know nations can beat the virus, with serious actions for effective containments.

Here is something good to all Everton FC supporters. They have a big discount on the official Everton store, All Adult kits’ are now £15 & Kids’ Kits are £10
https://evertondirect.evertonfc.com/stores/everton/en/c/football-kits?portal=FV9IJNI7&CMP=SOC-FANTWITTER

Maybe other clubs ca follow this thread, they will collect some money in this hard time and will enable many people to buy shirts or anything other from his club to support them.

This is a very big discount, even almost 50% more, but I unfortunately I do not like the Everton club, maybe if the Liverpool and Manchester City clubs do the same thing as Everton with a large discount I will buy for me and my child.  Grin

Well maybe with this discount people can buy more at cheap prices.
If this type offer coming from Liverpool or Manchester City then surely I am also going to take some advantage as my son is also in love with few players and want to have shirts with his favourite players but right now not able to do this but can do if they announce any promotion like this in near future.

There is rumours that no medics will be available in those games since all will be busy in hospital and streets around it? Coronavirus just started in UK and I doubt it will last less than 6-8 weeks so June is still risky imo...
Hope those rumours (yours ofc Wink ) are true!

This is difficult now. Many top European leagues maybe will not finish and they are also thinking of who to be the Champion especially Italy which wants to give the title to Juventus. Some other countries are thinking to play playoffs games between top teams without spectators. One sure thing is that this Corona virus has turned the world upside down.

Will there be no league from now until 2020?
Covid-19 has paralyzed everything in my country yesterday imposed a temporary lockdown and do not know how long for me this is very boring except gambling at home while sports gambling is not there for a while.

It will be very long if the European league will be in the start again.

Playoffs is a good idea but are they also thinking about the teams in the relegation spots. It would be so unfair for them as they still had many matches to turn the table and climb the safe spot. Same what are they thinking about teams close to the CL spots?

Yeah :/ . Europe is getting significantly affected. Sad
I think the best solution is that the league has been abandoned this season so there are no clubs that have been relegated ... special playoffs are for teams that compete in the European zone and champions. For champions, other clubs must be willing to give trophies to Liverpool because they have no chance of being chased anymore.

The coronavirus 19 Effect on Non League divisions and grassroot games

Apparently the Non League divisions and grassroot games are to end. Since no teams are going to be promoted, the decisions made afterwards could have a spill over effect on the top leagues including EPL should this corona issue persist for sometime.

"All English soccer below the three divisions of the fifth tier National League will end immediately due to the coronavirus pandemic with all results from the season expunged, the FA said on Thursday.

The top three National League divisions, the Women’s Super League and women’s championship remain in talks about how best to conclude their seasons.

However, with no new teams promoted into those leagues, they could decide to follow suit which would then affect the men’s professional divisions.

The Premier League and other top level soccer in England is suspended until at least April 30 but the governing bodies have said the current season can be extended indefinitely"

Shame for some of those teams, especially those who were looking to gain promotion. COVID-19 is devastating the world, who knows what will happen.

I hope the top European Leagues are able to finish.

I believe this is a good development from the fronts. persuading the lower leagues to accept voidance and perhaps will be compensated one way or the other.
But the women league, premier league, champions league, and both efl 1 and 2 must conclude their season.

It will be bad to deny liverpool a trophy in 30 years.
or leeds a promotion in so many years at the champions league.

Likewise, sheffield and wolve could get denied a champions league spot.

Just play out the league, whenever
