This is only possible when you are not addicted, once a person is in that state leaving their addiction is incredibly difficult, and this is because they have developed a physiological need towards their addiction, so this is not really a problem of discipline or will anymore, this is a problem that needs to be deal with incredible care by professionals that understand how to get a person to detox and teach them how to come to terms with all the bad things they did during the period in which they were addicted.

Accurately quitting gambling might take some time, but it is not difficult. It was a day a person to decide to start gambling and it will also take one day for a person to decide to stop gambling. The problem is not in the addictiveness of the gambler it's on the discipline of the person. A lot of gamblers lack discipline even when gambling they don't know when to pause or continue gambling. There are few who have discipline, they know when to bet, continue betting or stop and bet another day. Thise set of persons can actually decide to stop gambling because of their high disciplinary level and it will not be difficult for them. I quitted a lot of bad habit, and it wasn't difficult for me. When I noticed that those things were not benefiting me rather reducing my productivity, I have to stop them.

Once gambling becomes an addiction it is very difficult to stop leaving all the important activities of life they only look for gambling opportunities and immerse themselves in gambling. Many people can't quit gambling despite making money and many obstacles. Despite many attempts to stay away from gambling addiction many people end up not being able to stay away from gambling. It's like drug addiction at this stage even if a person loses everything for gambling he cannot give up gambling addiction and when this addiction reaches extremes it wreaks havoc in people's lives.

That's where the struggle is, is on how they're going to avoid gambling when they just can't. Decisions are needed to be done wisely but even if we say so, that's just so hard for those gamblers that want to quit but they are having hard time as you've said, they're poor in decision making. Even you tell them that they need to avoid gambling so they won't be able become addicted on it and they'll avoid the future effects of being addicted, they can't. Because just as you have said, it takes time for someone to quit and when he does, that's how it's being given the moment to think that when they can means to say that they can. But if they can't, then that's the same as it is.

It is difficult but just like what people say about having the will and the way and that's also good when someone is getting aide from the above if they're religious. As some stories have said that it's an effective way to stop gambling, you may quit for today but make sure that you don't also get back when you see people are enjoying the games and winning some money.

The gamblers itself know,it’s hard to quit the gambling in practical.The attractive nature of the gambling sites will keep you to addiction at the end.But the reason behind the game was the gambling sites itself created on the way to attract more gamblers to their sites.The experienced gambler will not do gambling throughout the day,you can try for the quit of the gambling by keep the gambling time for the other sources.The gambler should learn the gambling before start to use in the real life and to try to earn money from it.

Difficult as it is, once your attachments is already deep gambling is difficult to resist, I also agree that gambler can go that far selling valuable items or possessions  just to have that money  to use for their gambling,  those kinds of people who already addicted  can't decide on their own there's a need of someone to guide them to lessen ans to stop their addiction.

I think give up gambling is difficult for both types of gamblers. It is not easy for those who enjoy gambling and those who are addicted to gambling from both of the sides it is difficult to give up gambling. However, those who enjoy gambling can take a temporary break or a long-term gambling break if they want, but those who are addicted cannot take a break from gambling even if they want, as long as they have money. In some cases the gambling becomes so much that it seems that it will not be easy to give up gambling if God does not favor.

Unfortunately to change for good I don't know anyone as of yet who was that capable,sure I know a lot of persons who have gone to the rehab center and they have been good for some years but then in a bad moment of their life they go and find refuge in gambling to forget everything,most gamblers who are real gamblers do not drink alcohol more than they should and this moment is fatal for them as they get back into gambling addiction once again.

I believe that saying that the vice goes out from the body only when the spirit goes out,meaning the vice only stops when we die.

It is very hard to quit gambling, it takes time to minimize gambling but quitting totally is not an easy decision to take, this is why it is advisable for people with poor decision to avoid gambling don't even gamble because it's effect might ruin your life, remember a chronic gambler can do anything to gamble, even though it takes him to sell his valuable asset a lesser amount to gamble he wouldn't mind because he believe that he can replace one he win and even gamble more with the remaining profit, I will say quitting gambling is very difficult, this will occur by the grace of God that's if the person is ready and willing to change.

  I don’t buy your idea about the concept of gambling. I feel like we all have a choice to make in life, irrespective of whatever we facing in life and even when we are in the toughest situation we still have choices to make, People who choose to gamble can also choose not too involve in it again. Just because gambling went in your favor doesn’t mean it will work for mister B, and it wasn’t that you were too careful or some kind of guru in gambling, you were probably just lucky to hit from the house at that period. Gambling is just about luck, they are days it goes in your favor and days it goes side away. People have different approach of dealing with losses some can’t take the pain of their loss while some just drink their self to stupor to ease the pain going through in their head. It is unwise to take gambling as a hobby or a source of income no matter how sugar coated it may seem it shouldn’t be a major source of income of a person.
  People make the mistake of taking gambling as means of survival, they fail to realize that it was design just for fun and for the love of the game, those that gamble for fun  and are aware of risk associated to it won’t need to go do some drastic things even after they lose, but they are aware of it risk so they are open for any possibility and since they are playing just for fun they play what they can afford to lose. But if you doing the opposite of this and you think gambling can save you then you got it all wrong, this way you will  become desperate and emotions will rise. Just picture a hypertensive patient in this situation is more like inviting trouble to his door step. Even before you register or sign up to any gambling platform they will advise you play responsibly what’s this simply means is to play what you can afford to lose.

I think those person who do gamble they wouldn't like to live it. In my opinion I do gamble for be an self defended person. Gambling help me a lot to be a self dependent person. I belong from a middle class family and it's too hard leave a society those type of boys who don't have money in their pockets. That's why I decided to gamble few months ago I started it and it help me a lot. Those who are connected in it they would never like to live gambling because if you gain enough experience in this work then it could be a money making machine. It's too hard to leave who properly connected with it.

Maybe before they use expensive therapy, they can try to create a new activity, which will later be something that can help them reduce their gambling activities so that their mind can be distracted and not think about gambling. That also applies to people who think they are addicted to gambling so they can also try it and see the results. But the difficulty with this method is that they have to do it regularly and there is no stopping from doing it. Every day, they continue to do it. If they can create different activities every day, there is a possibility that they will start to reduce their gambling addiction, especially if they can do these activities throughout the day and regularly. Maybe after doing it for a while, they no longer need therapy because by using this method, they can reduce their gambling addiction.

I don't actually agree with this statement because gambling is not entertainment but business. The moment you see gambling as entertainment,  you stop being serious with the business aspect and I even doubt what can be entertaining in gambling that engages the emotion a lot. Maybe winning can be entertaining but I don't see losses being entertaining. 

Greed is a general human problem that is not limited to gambling. We exhibit greed in many areas of life even in our personal relationship with others.


Many people have not been able to distinguish gambling from responsibilities. They have failed to understand that the money that is supposed to be used for gambling should be different from money for their immediate needs. You cannot be gambling with funds meant for the family needs, this is usually the problem many people have with their families. Gambling is supposed to be done with spared funds.

That's right, Quitting in a gambling is difficult for some gamblers who are addictive, but for some who play for entertainment purpose only, i think they can quit as soon as they want to stop. I encountered many gamblers who finds quitting in gambling very hard because they invest so much time and money to the point that they consider it in a dual purpose (for entertainment and income). Those gamblers needs medical attention because it may affects their mental and physical wellbeing. The therapy might be expensive but if it's benefit you, then it's worth it.

To be very honest quitting gambling is really not easy as sometimes some persons end up gambling for life as they find it that difficult quitting, it may require extra help some times to quit totally but if it's temporarily, most persons did quit temporarily and layer come back to it but a abstaining totally will require some extra efforts at times beyond just stopping.

Some persons even have to attend therapy sections to cure them of the addiction of gambling because they find it that difficult although sometimes a strong desire to stop could also help but then it take longer time with so much discipline before such person will finally be free from such addiction but the best way I think is therapy although its expensive but it's the best out there. That way you may most likely not go back to it again if you don't want to, but Paramount decision has to be self control before any of these could effectively work.

Spending time in the gym, on the cricket field, or any other activity at all times can reduce his gambling addiction and also improve his physical fitness so that it will also give him freshness throughout the day when he can do other activities. It can help him to reduce his gambling activities, and if he can do it regularly, his gambling activities will reduce drastically, and he will not keep thinking about gambling. These things can help him divert his attention towards gambling so that he won't lose more money, and maybe he can even find a new hobby that can keep him busy with all his activities.

This is why it is very important to have self-control in gambling. It's not really impossible to not get addicted and to quit gambling. It will be a hard task, but it is feasible depending on your discipline. Actually, you would hardly encounter being dependent and addicted if you are committed to stay in line - on you boundaries and limitations. This way, you prevent any bad things from happening instead of curing it once it already occurred. Controlling yourself will be your first and main dilemma, then everything else will follow. The level of difficulty of recovering and quitting addiction will really rely on your willingness and determination.

I think it all depend on the level of information at your disposal. There are people who make such money from gambling just because they are following some pundits on twitter.. They just have to play their games which they usually share free on Twitter, just requiring you use their referral link to create your betting account in the platform they are registered. I have see a lot of people who fall into this category. The loose most times but one will will offset many losses and still make them remain highly profitable.

The fun part of gambling is more pronounced in winning especially when spending the money win from gambling. Any thing different from this might just be like consolation.

Winning in gambling is hard, so people can quit gambling. But No, Even quitting in gambling is hard too. The reason for this is that no matter how many times you lose and how much money you win, there is always a hope of winning big.

You can ask different gamblers and all of them will say that they lost many times but no one will say that they want to quit gambling. This is the power and addiction of gambling. People can afford to lose in gambling but they can't imagine quitting gambling. It is the fun in gambling or the hope of winning, which will keep people involved in gambling.

Gambling with the hope of winning young is impossible because even if you play carefully, it is still very difficult to win, especially for those who play uncontrollably. I think very few people play gambling just for fun because most people who gamble of course want to win from the games they play and if we have experienced an addiction then it will be very difficult to stop gambling so it will be better to play our gambling can control ourselves so as not to easily spend the money we have on gambling.
