reading whitepapers is a great source of information for new people to the cryptospace, alot of these concepts seem very not needed sometimes I recommend you new folks to read Mybit whitepaper it will definetely open your eyes to a few pockets of the blockchains usage with certain sectors of the cryptosphere.

Anybody else has a couple of informative whitepapers, that opened your eyes to a certain technology or undervalued market or just good information?
Im about to read deeponion's!
It's like a headline from which it becomes clear how sad everything is in this industry and very few original ideas capable of luring an investor and competing with others.
well maybe like that,
in my opinion it was not enough to master the knowledge available at Crypto.
indeed the whitepaper is very useful for new people but it's not enough and there are still many lessons to be done because the experience is very useful.

Honestly, I hardly go through the white papers out there, basically because I don't have the time to, I am not too interested in the project, or its too technical to understand.  I know it's very important to read this papers but also it really don't guarantee the success of a project

Have you seen the meme of a horse that has 3 different sketches that pertains to the whitepaper? Because if yes then you understand that those amazing words that you will read inside it does not guarantee anything. It still all boils down to the mvp and I tell you right now that most of what happened are all disappointment.

I am pretty sure that not many people read whitepapers. But those who do - they develop.
I usually skip all technological side cause I am not a tech guy, and concenrate on general idea, global vision (what project is going to achieve, which problem to solve), team, advisors and hardcap (plus % allocation to the crowdsale).
I see that today people used to follow influencers and have very little personal understading and expectations. Currently market ignores some great projects because nobody from influencers speak about them - everubody is looking for new ICO with X2-4 forgetting that there are old great projects that are ready to explode.

I try to read whitepapers but seeing the length of them and the complexity of words writers choose, I and my attention span tends to give up.

Well, not all whitepapers are worthy reading. Some of the white papers only contains pics and no proper information. The most important document i think is the road map of the project that tells the timeline and objectives of the project.

Reading a whitepaper is good to understand about a project, but sometimes we found a whitepaper that has similar content to one another.
That way we have to be really careful. That could be some scam project that just copied a whitepaper form another project and make an adjustment, so it could fit with the project they created.

Indeed, it is a good references before you want to investing in ICO projects.
Even you can notice if the ICO is fake or no, by reading the whitepaper. Many scammers just copy paste their whitepaper from others.
You will notice there are other company names if they don't change the copied whitepaper.

You do not need to read the full whitepaper but you need to understand what project is about before investing your funds in it. People are too greedy and lazy and want just to make huge profits without investigating the project.

I love reading whitepapers too especially ones that are well informed and make you really think! Of course the Bitcoin whitepaper is a must as is Ethereum's, I also really  thought Ampleforth's and cosmos whitepaper were super interesting and well written.

This is a prerequisite that today can be in any case. I think that now such actions make sense. Since now people do not just have to read the white paper. They must understand the idea of the project.

If everyone could devote the time to always go through white papers, it will be hard for scam projects to survive. The reason being that, most of us will have our knowledge enhanced and we will be able to raise alarm in oneness on any scam project that is detected. Scammers will not be able to strive and will be afraid, knowing fully well that their scheme will be foiled.

Reading whitepapers is a must when you want to look for a good project, its not an easy thing to do but when you do it all the time, you get used to it.
if I may add, reading and understanding the whitepaper is not enough to be able to convince you to join and invest in an ICO project.
a good website display, a reasonable roadmap, a product plan, a team and advisors listed on the whitepaper do not guarantee that an ICO will run well or even have good potential in the future.
I advise you to be able to analyze all the things you can do to be able to trust the prospects of the project you are following.

The first thing I do when I get acquainted with a new project is study WhitePaper. Only there you can find all the necessary information about the project, including the Idea, Team, Prototype, Token Sale and much more.
for now it is very difficult to distinguish projects that can benefit or fraud in these conditions and situations we as bounty hunters must be very careful and conduct research and review in looking at the projects we will follow

Unfortunately, most projects do not have unique documentation. A lot of projects are now being repeated. Although some projects have excellent documentation. I as a hunter try to participate in only such.

It is in the white paper that the essence of the project is displayed, where you can feel the real intentions of the developers: consider the economics of the project, check the legality, study the roadmap and technical document in a simple statement.

Most likely today, white paper has become a very important element for projects that really count on investing in it. Think only. This is a document that describes the work of the project. It must be read.

We must not forget that the information that is located in the whitepaper is often false. If a person wants to delve into the blockchain, he should visually perceive the information. I can advise YouTube) There are many channels that are willing to share their information. And then the person will decide whether he needs it.
