He obsessed with me because we had couple arguments in past.

I've never encouraged merit farming/trading in my life. I use this forum properly and never cross the general rules.
He became a DT member just a 2-3 weeks ago and appearently he doesn't even know how to use his power.
This was fully what i wrote. I do not know what to say because Mindrust is obviously crossing my words and trying to change the meaning.
I believe that DT members will oppose this. It's not fair someone to crop only one part of my sentences and giving me red trust. I hope someone will fix this.

That actually makes perfect sense. Imagine the kvetching that would ensue if the perp couldn't respond to his accusation.

That was my understanding too, but many Flags link to threads created by someone else. Maybe it shouldn't be possible at all to create a Flag based on a thread that someone else created.That might be an overkill. What if someone creates a thread researching a scam and then a victim wants to create a red box for it.
I think we should just use common sense and use reliable links (preferably not the scam threads themselves as the perp could then edit/remove it), and archive them just in case. That was the preferred MO in the "old" system too.

I tried using the post that I created as the reference link, and I get the same error. I then thought maybe it needed to be a topic link, so I used the link to this topic and still the same error. I haven't run into that trouble before, it's the weirdest thing.

That's the reason right there. You're supposed to create a non-self-mod unlocked thread for a flag.

It's fascinating how these people use their creativity to cheat others. If they were using this creativity in a good way then the community and them too would get long term benefit. People are too greedy these days and always chose shortcut to take advantages from others.

The newbie has 0 posts now as of now ( obviously that post was deleted due to spam / off-topic ) so what happens now? you can't edit the flag ! wait for him to make another scam attempt and get someone else to flag him ? the new system is a bit messed up.

Of course, I forget to archive thread so I can't really create new flag and I can't delete this one, well, what I can do is to remove "my support" from this flag because I can't support something which is not there
