I wouldn't have a second thought about this.

I will never exchange bitcoin for any altcoin if someone would give me money to invest on crypto's.
Other says that you should not put the egg in one basket and i can say that this 2 coin is good to hold for long term. Still the big percentage of my investment is in bitcoin because all of thing i can do with bitcoin and the other coin can not, time to time we can used our bitcoin hold or cashing out easily unlike the other coin that we need to convert it to bitcoin before able to withdraw
I can't say if the other one is also a good long term hold. XRP is centralized and this isn't the same as bitcoin.

I'll stay to bitcoin as this is the greatest portion of my portfolio so don't ever doubt the king.

Btc is controlled by chinese miners. I prefer xrp with his perfect management and smart strategy.

Wow, seriously? So you say that bitcoin is decentralized no longer but prefer to choose ripple instead because it is decentralized? The question was to choose between two cryptos I suppose, but there is only one crypto in this list

I don't believe in decentralization ))) All the market is terribly manipulated. Read about products developing by Ripple - xCurrent, xRapid, xVia, Coil, Codius, Cobalt update, MoneyTap launched with SBI today etc etc etc. That's I call market penetration, not the XVG/Pornhub partnership  Grin
I want to select the Ripple as the main coin became the mainstay of my coins to make a much bigger profit again in the future.
so it is great to have Ripple that is capable to generate more profit.
the time Ripple has many improvements that bring progress to its development are present for now and in the future.
It is able to bring a great change for the benefit of that is able to attain greater going forward in the future.

Hypothetically speaking, if someone offers you $10,000 to hold in one coin, only condition is to hold it for 2 years, which coin would you choose to hold?

You can choose between only 2 coin, one is bitcoin and other one is ripple. What would you choose?

I will choose ripple, I think for investor bitcoin are worries about their asset  are falling down at bitcoin.
so may be investor will choose xrp for investment

I chose to invest it at bitcoint, for long-term investment in my opinion the best choice is on bitcoint, investing in bitcoint is certainly very profitable for the future
According to CoinMarketCap, Ripple is in the third place but it is still good. It is simply difficult to predict if Ripple starts growing again unexpectedly or falls but I try to stay away from the centralized currencies as I do not trust them. I choose Bitcoin.

Off-course The King BTC. Ripple is not a blockchain. I repeat ripple is not a  true blockchain. So repeat again, and again, again, until everyone understand it.

Newsflash: Bitcoin Price Pops to $6,745 ahead of Quarterly Futures Expiration

The bitcoin price broke out of its early-week slump on Thursday, scrambling back above $6,700 to return to its weekend levels.

Bitcoin had entered the week near $6,700 after briefly extending as high as $6,815 last Friday. However, the flagship cryptocurrency took a moderate dip on Monday, a correction that ultimately forced BTC below $6,400 on Tuesday ahead of a recovery back to $6,500 on Wednesday. That’s where BTC/USD continued to trade for most of Thursday morning and afternoon, at least until 19:48 UTC when a surge in volume carried the bitcoin price from $6,549 to $6,690 in less than four minutes. At 20:02 UTC, bitcoin broke past $6,700 for the first time since Sunday and popped as high as $6,745 one minute later. As of the time of writing at 21:09 UTC, BTC/USD was trading just above the $6,700 level at $6,702 on Bitfinex.

Several traders have noted on social media that tomorrow, Sept. 28, is the date that quarterly futures expire on OKEx, BitMEX, and CME, events that tend to be accompanied by increased price volatility in the spot markets.

I believe that bitcoin is such a coin that will always be in the trend and will always grow and develop. And no ripple will not hurt him. it seems to me that ripple is just a dummy.

In principle, I still choose Bitcoin as the most potential coin in my opinion to this day, but there is nothing wrong with dividing a portion to invest in Ripple which currently also has a pretty good growth. It seems like dividing 70% for BTC and the remaining 30% for Ripple, it will be better. Why not?
Thank's and goodluck!

Bitcoin is a promising investment, digital currencies that will not be replaced. Although it has a big risk bitcoin still exists and continues to have high value.
Ripple is a coin that is often used for short-term investments, this is to anticipate low value and is a centralized currency that is easily regulated.

If you want long-term investment, choose bitcoin, because it has more potential than most coins in the future. But if you want to choose a short-term investment, then try to ripple, because the price of ripple temporary can reach about 3-5 $ or higher.

If the hypothetical choice is between Bitcoin and any other single coin, then bitcoin should be the obvious choice. It is fine to hold some Ripple too.

I think in the future we see the big war between xrp and btc, between crypto and fakecrypto.
XRP very dangerous coin, your balance can be frozen at any time and you cant do anything.
XRP have many investors who buy it for 3$ and now wait at least 3 for cutting loses, they can be dumped huge

I will choose to hold Bitcoins because it is already a very powerful and reliable currency. Moreover, people dealing with the bitcoins already know the advantages of holding the bitcoins for long.

Of course it is an obvious answer, bitcoin all the way. There are so many reason why I would choose to hold bitcoin over ripple. The main one is bitcoin is the biggest and most popular of them all. When people talk about cryptocurrency they will say bitcoin, even those who have less or no knowledge of cryptocurrency. Bitcoin being the biggest will definitely give more profit in 2 years compared to something like ripple.

I still have not rooted my confidence in ripple as it has major holders who are insiders. Ripple is cheap and has very bright future but i like the true decentralised coin, and only BTC.

Let's see the new exchanges and xRapid goes live. Many exchanges now plan to use xrp as base currency with fiat pairs, not only USD/EUR but also JPY/CNY/INR etc. People is not anymore forced to buy BTC on Coinbase to send it to Binance to buy XRP.

I think many people choose bitcoin as the best choice than ripple. Ripple now shows good progress, but bitcoin will still continue to be one of the best and high-profile coins.
