Then I would choose bitcoin, because It is the most stable coin, and after a few years it will grow strongly in price. I think that it is impossible to invest only in one coin, as it is necessary to diversify your risks.
I certainly chose Btc. No doubt Btc has become the number one coin in the crypto market. Until this moment, not even a single coin can rival the Btc. If it is used as a term term or long term, Btc can provide profits even in large amounts. Ripple is also good. But I still choose Btc.
Hypothetically speaking, if someone offers you $10,000 to hold in one coin, only condition is to hold it for 2 years, which coin would you choose to hold?

of the many investors will definitely prefer Bitcoin which is clearly the quality and as a parent coin. we are here talking about the potential of each, coin Ripple is quite good and stable in price but very far from the potential of Bitcoin which has a huge influence on the altcoin and the market. BITCOIN all the way! i will choose this one for a long time or even just this time.
i dont trust ripple my self as many people can see what can happen in the market once up.
but i am not telling not to buy that coin, it is good to earn for a short time.

I would say both are good options to hold for 2 years long term. But without doubt my first priority would be bitcoin and I must say holding ripple will also be a good idea but trust factor with bitcoin is more for me as I believe bitcoin is more stable and proven coin than ripple.
I chose Ripple because coin ripple has good technology and also works with banks. I think ripple prices will rise high next year and the following year

Ripple is a promising investment because of banking sector support but It is real opponent of Bitcoin. So I am also hate this investment. In crypto community is expecting some centralised platform so Ripple occupy the more consumer in short period but it will never the Bitcoin marketcap so both are good but best one is Bitcoin. 
Without any doubht I would choose Bitcoin. First of all becase all big investors are buying Bitcon, secondly it's the strongest and most popular cryptocurrency and third - I believe is growth of itcoin up to 100 000$ minimum (we all know BTC coins are limited)

Btc is controlled by chinese miners. I prefer xrp with his perfect management and smart strategy.
Wow, seriously? So you say that bitcoin is decentralized no longer but prefer to choose ripple instead because it is decentralized? The question was to choose between two cryptos I suppose, but there is only one crypto in this list
I don't believe in decentralization ))) All the market is terribly manipulated. Read about products developing by Ripple - xCurrent, xRapid, xVia, Coil, Codius, Cobalt update, MoneyTap launched with SBI today etc etc etc. That's I call market penetration, not the XVG/Pornhub partnership
so it is great to have Ripple that is capable to generate more profit.

You have a point, but holding the same value of bitcoin and ripple now example $500 worth of bitcoin and $500 worth of ripple this time will give you more profit with holding in xrp.

I will give a big chunk of my investment to bitcoin because bitcoin is the oldest coin of this market and all the coins follow this. I do not see any comparison between bitcoin and ripple.
no altcoins can compete with bitcoin. Bitcoin is the top leading cryptocurrency than other altcoins. The most adopts and well known, the most bought because its proven that we can earned profit though. So I still choose bitcoin over ripple.

Other says that you should not put the egg in one basket and i can say that this 2 coin is good to hold for long term. Still the big percentage of my investment is in bitcoin because all of thing i can do with bitcoin and the other coin can not, time to time we can used our bitcoin hold or cashing out easily unlike the other coin that we need to convert it to bitcoin before able to withdraw I will never exchange bitcoin for any altcoin if someone would give me money to invest on crypto's.
Unambiguously the bitcoin, here and nothing to think. It is stabler. And here what happens to ripple it is known to nobody. It can how to grow, so at to go down in price in two years. Especially as now manipulate it and specially lift, lower on it the price.

Of course, choose Bitcoin. Don't we see how Bitcoin is spread throughout the website. This makes the price of Bitcoin continues to increase dramatically. This is a very ridiculous question in my opinion, ripple will never be a rival to bitcoin, it was just a hype guys, ripple is way too far beyond bitcoin, maybe ethereum have the chance though. I'd go for bitcoin without any doubt at all, I won't hesitate and will buy bitcoin worth of $10,000 then I will patiently wait for the right time for me to sell it, the time that I know I already make big profits on it.
If we have to choose from ripple and bitcoin then bitcoin is always the first choice of investment as its supremacy in this market cannot be challenged by any coin. You can compare ripple with Bitcoin.
