For long term BTC is the best decision even despite on alternative cryptocurrencis and Ripple is very weak now and it is losing its volumes more and more with time.
No doubt, I will choose to buy Bitcoin with the $10,000. Ripple is not a decentralised coin, the supply can increase anytime.

I voted for Ripple and I trust in its technology. It is more friendly coin for banks, goverments, Ripple is also older than a Bitcoin

Right now I believe bitcoin have more edge than any altcoin at all. With the upcoming bitcoin etf, all focus is on bitcoin and it's reaction.
I will choose Bitcoin than xrp ripple. Bitcoin is already stable in the market, proven and testedd. While ripple is until now the government debate if it is centralized or decentralized, it is not stable even the ripple company existing for many years. My opinion Bitcoin is always the number one and most profitable investment does not have anything that we have to doubt about it. I will choose Ripple to hold it for 2 years with such amount. Ripple is a safe haven than bitcoin and with such an amount I can obtain more of ripple than bitcoin. Bitcoin price hasn't been profitable since the last six months and by comparison, ripple is more valuable in terms of price appreciation than bitcoin.
We have different opinion on investment for long term. but to answer to your question i will go for Bitcoin. It is the most stable crypto on the market as posted. With good fundametals, Market structure, and high level of confidence by the investors. With the growing awareness on Bitcoin globally it does help increase the investment for Bitcoin in the Market.
BTC is the leader when Ripple is becoming weaker every day I suppose. Nothing can beat BTC as it is well everything originated. On the other hand ripple has a great potential and eco friendly. If Im going to choose still BTC for two years its rapid growth will continue.
if we compare by several parameters for control, then I choose bitcoin, if for convenience in the banking sector, then Ripple
