This will not happen I think because bitcoin is the king of crypto and ripple is just an altcoins, bitcoin is already proven and people want to have it than ripple, even ripple can't beat ethereum in crypto market.

I think that this coin is already beginning to lose its position. There are many other great coins for investment.

Ripple goes against everything Bitcoin stands for.  Bitcoin is a decentralized currency while Ripple is not.  Bitcoin is mined by proof of work while ripple is not.  Bitcoin is the people's coin while ripple is the banker's coin.

The talking about ripple replacing bitcoin is definitely misinformation been peddled by newbies or fudders who will like to buy cheaper bitcoin. Ripple is centralized cryptocurrency while bitcoin is decentralized cryptocurrency, ask yourself which one is better!

Think of that after few years when bitcoin reaches $100,000 and ask that again if bitcoin is on that heights.

I doubt it that you'll ask that again when you see that bitcoin dominates the market and is making all the alts including ripple to fall on their knees.
And actually this is another joke thread to shilling XRP. just because it was only getting a little pump and these shillers try to create such a statement to claim that ripple is better than everything. That has already happened so many times and i felt bored to see that.

Ripple will not be the next bitcoin. The reason being, the former is centralized and the latter is decentralised. In terms of utility, XRP is still lacking since it is just best to used with bank related transactions. As for bitcoin, it is versatile.

If that happens, Ripple can take over Bitcoin, the results will be very sad.
Just imagine if a system is centralized just as the Bank takes cryptocrurency that is decentrrralized in nature. LOL
No doubt Ripple is fast growing coin in the world but it will never be no. 1, because there is a huge difference between bitcoin and Ripple. Bitcoin is more than $6000 and Ripple is under $1. There is no chance for Ripple to take over bitcoin. Most of the people still invest in bitcoin and the market cap is going up more and more. People can make profit from ripple but it will never surpass bitcoin.

Bitcoin is the king of all cryptocurrency in the industries which has been carrying other alt-coin along to enable them to have values base on they usage, therefore, in Next 20,000 years, you can not compare Ripple to Bitcoin, because bitcoin still be number one among other alt-coin.

Really? I haven't heard anyone say anything about Ripple. I mean maybe if it's some paid advertising campaign. There's simply too many coins appropriated for campaign goals, those coins could easily get dumped.

I wouldn't touch it. Maybe for a quick 33% gain, but I wouldn't hold my breath for 10x.

This topic is really blasphemous to say the least. Mentioning Ripple, a highly centralized coin with Bitcoin in the same sentence is out of place. I think this was just meant to create hype around XRP, especially around the times it enjoyed the pump by the whales.

No one can replace Bitcoin. Bitcoin will be the first for a very long time. It should be borne in mind that Bitcoin has a limited emission and it is very important for large investors.

As we all have seen ripple has been quite strong these past few days and with all that it has done over the past months compared to most other currencies and the launch of xrapid is actually starting to show in its price.
There is so much talk about ripple taking over bitcoin and being 10$ what are your thoughts on this ?

Hm I still do not trust Ripple. It has the reputation to be a tool for the banks to infiltrate the crypto market. It is still a fact that Ripple not decentralized, no proof of work and no open access. That being said does not mean, Ripple as a project with listing all the big banks as customers cannot be a success. Ripple is not of interest for me. Other potential problems mentioned but do not quote me on that is the unregulated supply, meaning it can increase anytime and the missing utility of the token itself.

DYOR

WE may have different opinion on the topic as posted, But i would say that Market is Volatile, anything can happened in the Crypto or ALT coins  during the trading market, anything is possible dependent on the consumer's preference or its level of Confidence on the market for specific coins or crypto. the ups and down of the crypto market would triggered maybe a investment shift specially the Traders and on HODL for one coins to another.

Ripple is quite strong lately, he grew quite well. but for $ 10, I think it still takes a long time. at the end of the year, ripple will definitely reach $ 1.

Ripple, of course, will never bypass bitcoin and these coins are even useless to compare with each other. However, today we can see an increase in the price of ripple by 59 percent and its value continues to grow. In addition, by the level of capitalization ripple again took the second place, shifting from the second place ethereum.

Well, I do not think so, it's hard to dislodge bitcoins from leadership, Ripple is not the kind of coin that could do it

Don't think the price will jump to $10 anytime soon. The price rise might be due to the "soon to be released" xRapid. There were some hints from the company that caused some hype and people are jumping into the hype train causing the sudden price rise. I don't think the rise will last long enough and might start going down soon enough.

I don't know if Ripple will be the new bitcoin, but it's a fact that Ripple has made a lot of progress. It seems quite likely that banks will use more in the future.
