Forget about Bitcoin. Ripple is not even capable of replacing Ethereum as the no.2 crypto (in terms of market cap). Its association with the banks has tarnished its reputation permanently.
well it already replaced now i dont think it will would ever hold the number #2 spot for too long it will go back to #3 after it drops, ripple is centralized which is makes bitcoin better because its decentralized nothing can control it unlike ripple they have the power to control it.

Although I respect the crypto currency Ripple. But I do not think that it is so strong. So quickly take Bitcoin place. And to predict now what it will be. I find it too early.

My thoughts:
This happened before many times and its happening again. There will be a major dump coming shortly after this. This is not the first time XRP took 2nd position or have similar kinds of sequential pumps in the past, everytime it ended up with major dumps and things to back to square. Its the newbies that get captured in this manipulation and regret later.

My genuine suggestion is: Even if you are a supporter of XRP, even if you believe in its tech and see a long term potential, it will never make sense to buy any ALT which is being pumped over a series of days, every pumps have corrections and dumps and that is the time to buy. Remember: BUY in RED, SELL IN GREEN.   Smiley

Ripple good coins in the current market. I personally like the ripple. I think that it is a promising coin. But I don’t believe it will increase more than Bitcoin. Bitcoin is the most Popular coins.

As we all have seen ripple has been quite strong these past few days and with all that it has done over the past months compared to most other currencies and the launch of xrapid is actually starting to show in its price.
There is so much talk about ripple taking over bitcoin and being 10$ what are your thoughts on this ?

I think the real market cap is not showing the reality about the ripple. In my way of thinking, it is a coin which can not reach high prices like ethereum, litecoin and many others. Although its current situation, I don't think that it is a promising coin.

I think this is nothing more than speculation. $10 price will beat the Bitcoin with almost a fourfold gap. Of course, Ripple holders want this to happen but lets be real guys.
And they are just hyping it again same thing last year when ripple surprises the market, another momentum and good advertisement for people to
support and buy this coin again, not because its already surpassed ETH from the being number for a moment will give a chance to be the next bitcoin
there's still a lots of things that needed to achieved before that.

Ripple may be the one to do it if the bankers decide that's what they want.  The winning crypto is going to be the one the central bankers choose.  They print fiat and fiat is used to buy crypto.  TO me this shows they are in control of this market and it will go which ever way they want.  Believing anything else seems naive.
Every coin can be regulated in high prices, in the first place bitcoin also fluctuates just around a lower rate but the time comes by bitcoin was slowly continue to be more demand and now it was the most promising coin. So I believe ripple it seems to be the same in bitcoin has.

IMHO, ripple is very much overrated. What we see now on the market is the result of major frauds. And this is very bad: the ripple is not a full-fledged crypto currency, but, unfortunately, attracts the views of investors. Development of the ecosystem of crypto currencies does not occur.

Why everyone is looking for the next Bitcoin. The Ethereum, is now Ripple. Let's just realize that bitcoin Is a unique coin in its own way and replace it with nothing, the same applies to Ripple.

XRP has a totally different use case than BTC, Ripple/XRP wants to help banks, BTC wants to replace banks.  I'd love to invest in Ripple the company but really don't understand why I'd want to own XRP.  Why would I want to own a coin that's just for inter bank transfers?

I doubt it, but I mean anything is possible. If banks decide to pump it like crazy then maybe. Is it really a true "cryptocurrency" though?
I dont think so, if banks is the one that pump then thatll simply make xrp more centralized and the banksters will be more dominant
ill stick to bitcoin even if xrp take over the 1st place because I simpoy dont like the idea though.

- There is no next bitcoin. There is Bitcoin and everything else are shitcoins - This is how you classify them.
- The title of this thread is infuriating. You're literally comparing a much-decentralised currency to a heavily controlled one. And no, trading volume doesn't add up.
- Where is this "so much talk" happening? You're the only person who seems delusional to the facts.
- The day Ripple becomes the next bitcoin is the same day Roger Ver admits he's the real Satoshi.

No hopefully it will not it's going to be a nightmare, we all know that this is not decentralized a big company is controlling this, and making a centralized project the top crypto in the decentralized technology is such a big shit and a nightmare it's ok if he aim for the number but never number one.

No! It will never be this way so stop spreading false informations please. Ripple owner has more than 50% of the total supply so please tell me how can ripple even achieve 20% of bitcoin power? It cannot.
