Buying only one coin with all your money is not wise. You should disribute the risk to more than one coin. Etherium can reach $1k in near future, so it's ok to invest some of your money.

I think u should always go for BTC first when the price drops because BTC can give more profit than ETH. If u invest your money in ETH it`s also a good for option because the current price is cheap and the ETH journey is still long, so there r still many good opportunities.
