My answer is yes! And college is not about diploma, it's about growing up, self-developping, learning to think critically and independently. Even If you never use your diploma. it's always beneficial to be educated and interesting person.

The reality is that deal if college wasn't so damn expensive just false unless you go for law, medical or engineering's and any other degree or major is a crap shoot all this wouldn't be a big. I don't know whether a marketing degree is becoming irrelevant or not, but there should be plenty of jobs available in the field. Cheesy

Hi everyone,

What advice would you give a HS senior in US about to decide on and/or enter college ?

Be sure to go to college because without education at the present time they do not take to work.

If you really wanted to have a good future with a descent job,  you must go to college.  It is much easier to apply and get a job if you have a better education with you.

You have to make this decision yourself. After all, instead of you, no one will go to college and regret it later, or vice versa, do not regret that they did not go. You need to weigh the pros and cons.

If you have a S.T.E.M degree I think it's worth it otherwise I'm highly skeptical.

Going to college or any school is a question of do you want to learn and know things for your own good and how much you would like to know. So obviously you would like to know how to read and how to write something, calculate basic stuff etc. We learn that in primary school. In high school we learn even more, so you know more things now. If you will go to college you will learn about something even more. So how much knowledge you need? With that knowledge recognition in society coming too to be fair. If you learn just to get a better job or just to have a job at first place and you earned millions in Bitcoins whats the point? Anyway college is always a plus. But if you really and I mean really have a good reason to not go to college then don't. Bill Gates dropped out, but he got better things to do obviously. Do you at least a smaller good reason not to go to colege.

Yes, you need to continue in college because education is very important. In our country, if your only a high school graduate you can't get work that has a higher salary compare to those who reach in college.

of course have to go to college, although college does not guarantee success, but college can open insight. Lectures can be a good start to success in life. especially for those of you who live in Asia, a bachelor degree has become a requirement in pursuing a career.

Always try for a better education. Especially in the US where your degree would mean a better salary. It's not just studying but also you can expand your social circle. You will meet alot of different people when you're studying and connect to their social circle and who now it could mean you can land a better job. It would not hurt to be known in your field and be published in journals. College really opens up alot of doors for you, you just need to put in alot of work
