Initial coin offerings should be 100% regulated and this should not be negotiable because there are too many commercial activities going on and so many projects are just raising funds using this method because they know there is no real oversight into the fundraising process so it is easy for projects to make away with investors money .
Regulations on the other hand will bring about better project better investor product protection and better development of blockchain
I agree, but we are still in the early stage, regulation has not come yet.
Hopefully there will be regulation soon, the market is dump a lot because of the ICOs reputation also, a lot of investors coming in but getting
out scammed, these things should be avoided and only regulation will be the answer for this since the government will certainly
go after against the scammers.

Absolutely not, regulation is harmful and does not affect scam. Scammers will find a way to bypass the regulation and we will just get extra difficulties.
We dont need no regulation.
Lol when you must have passed the verification before try to issuing your ico and you must do that. Do you wanna get jailed by the police. So many scammers have already arrested and a few people that created bitconnect already arrested into the jail.
Verification will stop scammers? Are you serious?
People really believe that even if some measures like KYC have shown that you cannot stop scammers and instead you are giving them even more tools, icos are now asking for that information and since many of them are scams not only they get your money they also get your personal information that they can sell in the black markets and there is nothing you can do to stop them.
But remember the audir from the trusted 3rd party can be considered as a reliable way to avoid or prevent the scam ico. Look at binance how thousand of people are beliving in it because they can be trusted to verify the ico.

I am strongly against the regulation, but we need to find the way of how to eliminate scam projects from our market. It is going to be a pretty hard decision, but we need to create a group that would check these projects.

Many people have problem to pass the KYC progress. I can´t imagine that these investors will follow another required steps to get ICO tokens  Roll Eyes.
It seems they think that SEC will remove all scams and let them simply invest in randomly selected projects making a profit everywhere.

There are 2 kind of issues with cryptocurrency.
1. If not regulated then alot of scammers run away with the money of people.
2. If they are regulated then the govt runs away with the money of people by putting taxes and other stuff.

Yeah, of course. ICO need to be regulated to some extent. ICO has lost it dignity as many ICO have turned out to be scam unlike when ICO first began some yeras ago. A lot of people have loose their hard earned money to scammers and this bad experience has kept them away from cryptocurrency which in a way will affect the adoption if the scam level is high. To increase the growth of cryptocurrency adoption, the general public need to trust the system. Necessary regulations should be done ASAP to sustain the crypto system.

Yes I think that I should be regulated. Cause in last few months we saw many ico project that scammed people. They collected money from investors and general people and then disappeared. Some of them was successful during ico phase and then failed at development stage. Some of the projects collect money and if they didinot reach the soft cap those who already invest never gave their money back. So investors and general people are afraid of this scams. So if some regulations comes to protect this thing that will be great. So yeah I think we need some regulations at least for the icos.

Humanity is not developed enough to use cryptocurrencies without the share of parasites.
Currently regulation is required for ICO. In the form in which all this is now. First of all, there is a need to control the creators and developers of projects. Of course, this will not save us from fraud, but we can come up with something else that could make life difficult for scammers.

Regulating the ICOs are not possible but there are some guidelines issued by SEC to approve ICOs but still no ICOs were following that regulations.

It should be regulated but not sure about how it can be done because this is decentralized market, any one can create their tokens and start selling it.

Well yeah i don't think it's a quiestion whether it should or not since icos are very prone to scams and fraud. Although people should already be wary if they're to invest or not, with the number of scams in the past, governments should find a way to efficiently implement their regulations on icos.
Government can say ICO investments are completely banned for their citizen which is the best way to save their citizen and I don't think there is any other way aailable to control the launch of ICOs everyday.

Only investors need to gain knowledge about crypto currencies and how to find the legit and fraud project teams.

Regulator ICO as we would not want, is simply necessary, if this happens, it will be like a breath of fresh air, for all who participate in the ICO.

This issue has been discussed for a very long time, I don’t think that today it makes sense to talk about it seriously, because today there are very serious opportunities for this. Probably today what many people call regulation is not recognized by other states.

Initial coin offerings as a idea was a created to run a sale without any license or regulations. Why want you now to change it?
What's wrong with change for the good? If we find something wrong, we should to think it, and also if we can, we should to change it, such ICO, imao.

I think it would be a good idea to have some level of regulation in the ICOs that are spreading throughout the cryptosphere. I know this would regulate the number of scam projects in the cryptosphere and would also save investors their money and bounty hunters from wasting their precious time on useless project.
Right, I have find a lot of scam project on last year, as bounty hunter I'm so sorry about promote that, but I always made clarify and also delete all promote about that. I hope with ICO regulate, we can be safe of scammer.

The ICO scamming is becoming rampant in the cryptocurrency market. ICOs have raised so much money that they have invariably attracted tons of scammers as well. In fact, the number of scammy and bogus ICOs have increased so much that it has affected the overall value of the global ICO market.

when the ICO already has clear rules, indeed it can be a good step for ICO sales and will minimize the case of scams from ico in circulation, because at this time there are many investors who are afraid to invest in ico because they are afraid of a scam.

Isn't the answer obvious? This system does not work as it should, even normal projects can bring losses, and what then to speak about numerous fraudulent projects?

Considering the high level of scam associated with ICOs presently, many investors are at risk of loosing their investments. Bounty hunters like us are not spared as we may be rendering free services to some scammers and also risking our personal data.

I suppose a regulatory body be set up to audit the ICO process and the  founders, and if anything goes wrong or should the project fail, they will be liable. This will reduce drastically investors risk and also keep scammers away. What do you think?
It is one of the issues why many people have doubts in entering the cryptocurrency market. There are a lot of news about scam projects worldwide and it is a factor to scared other people to make investment in cryptocurrencies.

There are two important points. Regulations for decentralized projects can be damaging. But these regulations also protect investors.

Regulating ICOs will be a welcome development because this will ensure that, the average investor is protected from those scammers who intend to earn from innocent investors. Regulation will place restriction or cause breakdown on decentralization but when its apply it will  be a game changer on decentralization and will attract more investors who thought of cryptocurrency to be volatile.
