I think yes, because nowadays I can see a lot of scammers which try to steal my money in different ICO telegram groups.

Initially, I wasn't in support of regulations but with the many ICO scams, I think regulations should come. Also, the bitter truth is that if adoption should take place mainstream, there must be some form of regulations. Some thieves come up with a fake project, put up a website and whitepaper and make people buy into their scam which is not good.

I strongly stand by the regulation of initial coin offerings.
This is because it is too easy to scam investors through initial, coin offerings and this has become a reoccurring crime.
Doing ICO a lot of project teams have taken different means to fool investors into parting with their money and make their projects seem to be the next best project on the blockchain but with more regulation in which all the aspects of initial coin offering is carefully scrutinized before the fund-raising I believe it will drastically reduce the scams in this process.

Regulation is a complex term though. The community could find ways to regulate it themselves through the application of game theoretical solutions. It is not only about regulators as we know them.

We need to set higher standards when it comes to giving our money away. That's for sure.
We cannot do that, we have the idea but the implementation of the regulation has to be coming from the government.
The thing is we are supposed to be independent and that is the essence of being decentralized, but our government won't allow us to operate, they
need to interrupt us to get a share of what we are making, they are greedy and that is what they are by nature.

This is not correct. If we build services like encrypted KYC or proof of developer and that helps prevent scams from happening, it will also contribute to a less government intervention.

That governments are greedy is true because the people running the governments are almost one at the same with those running the big corporations.

The creation of a bounty hunter Union would be a good option for partially regulating and paying for bounty campaigns. Also, the Union can carry out analysis and audit of the project that plans to conduct a bounty campaign.
if it's really running it might be very helpful for the quality of the ico itself. the fewer scams, or all the best for investors. but unfortunately are such regulations possible?
I do not see a problem in creating such an organization, I am ready to deduct 2-5% of my earnings in bounty campaigns (depending on the functions that the Union will take over)
That will be useless because when you are participating in the ico and you have agreed with all of agreements and terms that created by them. They have a key to the funds. They can to everything what they want.
Bounty union is another crap idea.

Considering the high level of scam associated with ICOs presently, many investors are at risk of loosing their investments. Bounty hunters like us are not spared as we may be rendering free services to some scammers and also risking our personal data.

I suppose a regulatory body be set up to audit the ICO process and the  founders, and if anything goes wrong or should the project fail, they will be liable. This will reduce drastically investors risk and also keep scammers away. What do you think?
I agree ICO should be regulated and developer should seek clearance to government which run the regulation and impose stricter guidelines so that only legit ico would spent effort to get clearance. People who run ico should be diclosed their  indentity in public in that way its easy to chase them once they would scam their investors

We all want to have an organization that can manage ICO projects. But it's a pity because this is a decentralized market and we also need a decentralized organization to be able to manage everything.
I think the SEC has that power but they refused to participate in the crypto market.
That means that we will have to rely on our own ability to avoid fraudulent projects.

I think that it is necessary to regulate ICO, as the market is already oversaturated with bad, fraudulent and useless projects. In the future, if there are new projects, they should be at least good.

Definitely, ICOs should really be regulated by a trusted third party so that all projects that are coming in the cryptospace would sort of verified to avoid situations whereby we hear that the team is not real and they are using fake identities.

Of course, I know that many people do not want to hear about regulations, but this free market is more and more dangerous for investors, more and more scams are created to get quick money. Is that right?
Those who are trying to avoid regulation at all course should be checked. Such might be involved in some ICOs that are scam.
I am not surprised that so many projects are not able to reach softcap easily, despite how good they appear. So many of them are sourcing fund from outside the online space.

I think ICOs should be regulated because investors are losing their interest to invest in a new crypto project. Because ICO market lost its reputation very badly. Even many good ICOs go away by scamming people and bounty hunters. So, good project, who want to do something on the crypto platform, they should go for regulation! And, after getting regulated they can achieve success. otherwise, this is very tough to make ICO success in this current situation of the crypto market.

Crypto space is packed with money so obviously ICOs should be regulated to avoid scam and any other kind of cheating and manipulation. Big players will never come here without proper regulations.

Definitely mate Wink...i have always shared the view that ICOs really need to be regulated because we are having multiple blockchain solutions being spread in the cryptospace. Also because ICOs are not regulated so many projects are popping up which is really making some investors lose their money. Regulating of ICOs would help rid us of all these scammers.

It is difficult to imagine that this sphere will have a future without regulation, how else to eradicate such a large number of scams, they are too much stuck to the pockets of investors
Tell me, since KYC has been introduced as a process for many icos it seems to you that the number of scams has gone down? Because I do not see it, in fact it is even worse now, scammers not only get your money but they get your personal information as well and they can sell it or they can use it for themselves while you have no way to protect yourself from them.

ICOs really need to be regulated because of what we are seeing now,so many fake projects coming up and investors are the ones that suffer.
Regulations will bring more trouble with compensating security in my opinion. Fake projects usually hunt investors with less knowledge, experience and there are no legal actions against them.

I am almost sure that it is impossible to regulate cryptocurrency. It seems to me that this will kill the idea of decentralization as a whole. I am against regulation.

To me ICO must be regulated. Many may say that if the ico is regulated then the rate of flourish of crypto currency may not be well but the way number of crypto currency are increasing it's very alarming.
yes you are right, if ico regulated then there will be very large growth because investors will come back but there is nothing regulated here and like some ICO ratings only take money without thinking about ICO scam or not

Personally if I should be the one to make a final decision on this topic, I will say let ICOs be regulated, because of ICOs are regulated, it will reduce the level of ICOs scams, and also this will build the trust of ICO investors, some blockchain can now come in full as it now have something to protect their interest.

Of course ICOs should be regulated because the rate of ICOs scam is constantly increasing and it's gradually giving the cryptocurrency market a negative trust amongst investors. If ICOs get regulated institutional investors will feel protected while investing and the cryptocurrency market which will have a good effect on the cryptocurrency market.
