ideally i did not see the for the regulations of ICOs and the whole process seems a whole lot better without the need for regulations but in recent times I have come to notice that the rate of fraudulent practices in the space is having a greater percentage contribution from the ICO region and that is not good news for the space since it is still trying to find its feet in the globe.

ICO cannot have stricter rules because it has been so since the beginning. we can only request to remove it from the market and support STO or IEO. ICO really can't give investors the best benefits. Let IEO and STO do that. RIP ICO.

It can have a strict rule.  To avoid losses from investors, government institution should step in and regulate ICO.  This institution will filter ICO's and give license to those who pass their criteria.  If this happens, ICO will be a lot safer than IEO.

Investors have already given the answer to this question, since they choose IEO, then they want their investments to be safe and they are tired of scams, and ICO is one big problem at the moment, few people want such a hassle
Thats why the volume of ICO investment continues to decline every year, even this year is far lower than last year, because honestly
investors are tired when a project becomes a scam or fails to enter an exchange, ICO needs regulation so that only quality ico will come

Considering the high level of scam associated with ICOs presently, many investors are at risk of loosing their investments. Bounty hunters like us are not spared as we may be rendering free services to some scammers and also risking our personal data.

I suppose a regulatory body be set up to audit the ICO process and the  founders, and if anything goes wrong or should the project fail, they will be liable. This will reduce drastically investors risk and also keep scammers away. What do you think?

I think this regulator should make the big marketing project which requires the developers of ICO. Such projects exist at the moment but now they do not work with new projects because of the refusal of the ICO developers to cooperate. That is, people who base their project initially understand that they will deceive people and do not want unnecessary problems.

ICO developers are in this for money. True developers usually just go and do their own things,,, and they do not care about raising funds or doing all kinds of marketing and promotion. So yes, for me, if crypto is centralized and hold ICOs they should be regulated 100%. If it is like Bitcoin where it is completely decentralized, then what is the point of regulation? Who do you hold to take responsibility?

The ICO will soon die out altogether and IEO will replace it, which is essentially what is happening now. Many begin to invest through a proven stock exchange company. For example, projects under the leadership of the exchange Binance, Huobi or Kucoin

of course that is because if the ICO is regulated it will be better and more certain it will also reduce the scam in the ICO world, because there are already enough victims who have lost money because of yesterday there were a lot of garbage ICOs
I think if there are clear rules regarding the circulation of ICO then it can have an influence on the development of the ICO because it might also be able to minimize the circulating scam, because with ICO regulations no one dares to commit such fraud again.
There are still risk as there are still scammers, but it will minimize the scam.
The government is working on it, they will start regulating the ICO market, SEC are already working on the implementation rules, waiting to be release soon.

If the project fails often investor money is returned. I have seen several ICO projects that return investors' money. But the problem today is scams. They fled with the money of investors. This is difficult to overcome.

of course, of course it would be better if an ICO project was arranged by the government where it was created. or maybe ICO can be regulated by strict forum regulations, so that the ICO that runs is really high quality.
I think it is enough that this forum alone regulates the existence of ICO, it does not need to involve any government. if this forum is really set up on the ICO program it will completely delete ico scam. and the application of ICO arrangements is simpler than the arrangement of the government.
The forum never regulate ICO, we just have DT here and they help to tag scam ICOs.
You have no idea how big the ICO market is, not everything are listed in this forum, and the fact that a big percentage is scam, we need the government as they have more power to do it, they can regulate and give sanction to those who violate the law.

Without a doubt, before investing you should check that it is regulated and the founders have been KYC'd etc.

Yes, considering that you have done all those criteria's but the problem is how you create a rules that answers the problem of every investors rights. Because many of them have lost there investment capital without justice. The governing bodies should make a policies to runs those scammers and regulate the process of ICO.

Yes, I think so too. ICO should be controlled. Because now at the rate of ICO scam, I think that if these are not controlled, then it will be a big loss. Because the ICO will continue to scam investors will lose interest to invest. Because investors will never want to invest if scams are scarcely repeated. In this, the cryptocurrency market will have many adverse effects. Therefore, ICOs will be brought to control as soon as possible. We know that many new coins come in the market through ICO's. But if this ICO makes a scam then new coins will not come in the market. So ICO will have to adjust the system as soon as possible.

Thank you

regulations cant solve the problems of hacking and frauds  . we can still expect that there are still scam ico's after they become regulated and regulation only kills the real purpose of cryptos ( that is to become anonymous or decentralized )  but i think regulation can help ico's to become more legal and when people see it as a legal or verified company/business , they can be attracted to it easily    .

ICO activities must be regulated by the state, and this regulation is already a few years late, which has led to large abuses of ICO teams and a generally too high level of fraudulent projects. Only state authorized agencies can effectively combat fraud in this area and protect the rights of investors, as well as participants of ICO bounty campaigns. No self-regulation or social regulation will help here. Too much money is collected here and therefore this activity will always attract the attention of scammers.
