1miau thanks for taking the effort to collect the images and level up the discussion.

For me still the same, in all examples you show, its fault of the driver behind, i agree with you, but in Sainz case, for me he go really far outside so Piastri in a milisecond take the interior, but in that same milisecond Sainz knows he was passed and breaks so heavy and cut for the inner.

Sorry if my explanation its not so accurate but my english its not quite good.

But well in the end are all point of views.

And it's not only us that notice it has gotten a lot more boring...  A lot of people do as shown in the drop in viewing figures.

RBR has a secret under his car, they are now discovering "new rumors" from the car when they have on board cam.
The noise of the car is pretty unique and they are investigating on why they are doing it.

It's exactly how Vettel's RedBull sounded a decade ago. Just search videos on youtube and listen to the engine and you will find out that the sound is almost the same and I do think there is something irregular with RedBull engine but we will never know for sure.

Also , last friday there was an FIA investigation about RedBull car and guess what...a few hours after that , there was nothing to investigate because Redbull changed those 2 important parts and they got a grid penalty instead...so I don't know , I really don't like and never liked to see a long domination from a car or a driver.

These days I'm interested in the speculations about drivers' future teams more. Because the championship has got really boring after Verstappen has made a huge point gap with the others in the standings.

Leclerc might sign a new contract with Ferrari soon for example. According to speculations it will be a 2-year contract and there might be an option to extend it much more also. Despite having serious issues with his team in terms of communication and strategies maybe he still loves to be a part of Ferrari. He might be believing in Ferrari's future. As a Tifosi I would also like to believe but it is quite hard for me now.   Grin

^  Lol.  Cheesy  That's always the case almost every year with the dominant teams.  If Mercedes was leading, other teams would find an issue, if it's Ferrari it's the same case.  It's really getting pretty old.  I mean why would RBR deliberately cheat?  Adrian Newey prolly found a loop hole in the spec rules and designed the car around it.

And I wouldn't be surprised if it's Toto Wolff getting riled up with it if there really was an issue with RBR's car.  Grin  And if it's really nothing, it's prolly just some journos trying to get some rumor going as they need to eat.  The season is getting really boring.

Season has already ended for me and many other fans so nothing boring anymore,I know that Verstappen in normal conditions can win all races without problems, not even Safety Car or heavy rain can stop him as we have seen during this time, the only thing which can stop him is a mechanical or electrical failure, which so far has not happened.

Other teams now are trying to find these "cheats" in Redbull car as they cannot otherwise fight against them and I have said this before,Adrian Newey has been in F1 from many years winning titles with McLaren and Redbull,so he is a great aerodynamics engineer and his experience in F1 is hard to match, pair it with a good driver like Verstappen and it is over the season  Grin.

Anyway, Dutch GP next.  Verstappen at 1.25.  Lol.  I feel like something unexpected is gonna happen.  Grin

I am afraid you are going to wait some time as the Dutch GP is not near at all,it is after the holidays on 26 August and there is plenty of time until then  Grin.I don't see any unexpected thing to happen here as he will be racing in front of the home fans,I doubt anyone else will be able to challenge him for the pole position which would in turn be an easy race win just like he did last time around.

The only thing stopping him this year are mechanical failures yet we have to see one as Redbull beside being super fast is also super reliable so that 1.25 may be a really big amount of odd seen from this perspective  Grin.

Yup, good thing the EPL will be starting the next weekend after the coming one.  Wink  I haven't really been following a lot of football a lot as of late but with how boring F1 really has been going, I could get back into the EPL again.  It could be an interesting season with City being City, Poch at Chelsea and Klopp go try to get Liverpool back on track.  There's also Arteta and the Gunners and the dark horse with Eddie Howe and his boys at Newcastle United.

United will end 6th or lower at the table.  Lmaooo.

For me though August is the most boring month considering there will be no races or just on race in the last weekend of it but I also know that drivers need to get their holidays done and August is the best month,I go on holidays too in the last 2 weeks of August.

For football is great that is coming back but the initial games I think we will see a lot of surprise which is always the case in the Premier League,I agree though Newcastle is truly the dark horse of the Premier League and I expect them this year to be fighting for the top spot.

To be really honest with you guys, the last couple of seasons has been very boring.  It would've been better if the FIA stuck with the 2021 specs until 2026.  I think it would've made the competition between Red Bull and Mercedes close and we'd have these iconic F1 moments.  But no, they had to change it cos for 'safety reasons'.

And it's not only us that notice it has gotten a lot more boring...  A lot of people do as shown in the drop in viewing figures.

Sainz, what the fuck you do on the first corner, he ruined the Piastri race.
Sainz really wasn't to blame for that one as he was heading way ahead into the first corner and Piastri tried to go for a gap, which wasn't really there as it's usually a tight corner.

I have a very diferent view on that maneuver, for me its pure Sainz fault, he come to the turn really fast and he its gonna miss the turn so he put full breaks (destroying his tyres) and yes Piastri made the decision to take the inside line, much before but Sains breaking and turning so abruptly make him squeeze against the wall.
It's a known issue for turn 1 that going on the inside has a high risk of crash danger and Sainz couldn't really do much as he was in front driving his line.

In 2016, Verstappen went on the inside and had a crash with Raikkonen, who took the outside (like Sainz now):

2016

In 2019, Verstappen (again) went on the inside and had a crash with Raikkonen (again), who took the outside (like Sainz now):

2019

There's a nice summary of crash comparison for 2016, 2019 and 2023.

While it's a clear racing incident for me, I don't see how Sainz should be blamed here, while Raikkonen wasn't blamed in 2016 and 2019 as well.
First corner in Spa is just a place where it's always leading to crashes because even a big, existing gap in turn 1 will always disappear.

I finally watched the race yesterday, hoping for some excitement because the penalty to Verstappen. Still, his car is too good - and he's a great driver as well so it was the same again.

I don't like the TV broadcast of F1 - and therefore rarely watch it. Looks slow and is extremely boring for me.
Yesterday my friend showed me how he watches through the app, where you can choose the driver and watch directly from the top of his car all the time - and I had a fantastic time watching like that.

I plan to buy the subscription for that, so expect me to be much better in the pool next season when I'll actually be watching the races Grin
I don't have big complaints about TV broadcast of F1. Sometimes it's difficult to catch all interesting moments on track, but if they miss, we get replay of it. Only thing that annoys me - if something interesting happens in the middle of grid on final laps, they often don't show it because they focus on showing how Verstappen finish. And we don't even get replays of it as they show celebrations on podium.
F1 TV subscription with onboard videos is cool thing, but I think it can't fully replace main feed. But i think it's great option to follow race on second screen.

But yeah, Piastri is the guy to watch this season...  Kinda like how Russell was some years back when he was still with Williams.  The guy looks promising but we'll see.

Russell hasn't been impressive for a long time. He did great things for Williams and deserved his place at Mercedes as well. His first times here were really exciting to watch. But this seasons isn't going on very well for him. He is 49 points behind Hamilton right now which is quite bad I think. Because Mercedes aren't doing the same Red Bull do now. They are giving both of their drivers a chance to compete with each other. But Russell can't bring the competition to Hamilton now.

Netherlands is Verstappen's home so I'm expecting a huge domination by him there. But there is still a long time for the race of course.

No need to talk about dominance from this season's winner elect but yeah, Piastri let many, many of us down. And I slipped back to 8th, which I guess is my actual position -- two races in a row where I am way, way off the lead, but now we are past the halfway mark and absolutely looking good for those in top spots. Super round for you, CasperBGD!

Didn't know there was pp subscription for different viewing, I might ask cryptofrka for a peek if he really buys that... I remember a few years back when La Liga introduced player cams for football -- not my thing at all but I imagine it's a hell lot more interesting for F1, especially if they let you hear driver radio.

Next stop in a month, and in home territory...

Congratulations to @casperBGD for winning the yellow jersey in the Belgium race. Once again, Verstappen succeeded in winning the race, while Leclerc and Perez also managed to secure their positions in the top ranks of the Belgian Grand Prix. My bet today was in favor of Piastri, but unfortunately, my hopes were dashed. Angry

That's the thing with rookies on the grid.  They tend to be inconsistent with all the traffic around them even though they got some pace during quali or the practice sessions.  Even Verstappen had his misses from to time when he first got to drive for Red Bull.

Another easy win for Max, F1 is quite boring now.

Was much better with the previous generation of cars, but this generation ruined the competition.

No one expected otherwise in this race and it is normal that a great driver which is now 3 times world champion as I doubt he will lose this one,he has no opponent,he pass his team mate like he is driving a Haas or Apha Tauri and not like the team mate is driving the same car as him,in this context is super boring the F1.This is super boring because the fault of all other manufacturers who are not keeping up with the Honda engine, yes the same engine we all made fun during 2015-2016 at McLaren which Alonso called GP2 yet now is winning Championships like crazy without removing anything to Redbull aerodynamics it is the engine power that wins you races.
Although I think Perez doesn't deserve the Redbul, we have to accept that there is a difference between the cars. As for the question of why they are doing this, examples such as the vettel webber conflict can be counted. That is, the message that you can't be fast if we don't want you to be fast, you have to follow our directives. Perez managed to lead the first 13 laps on soft tires, maintaining the difference with Verstappen. When they pitted and switched to the medium, Verstappen suddenly started to fly. Since the drivers and the track did not change, what can explain the emergence of such a big difference with only one pit? If anyone says that Verstappen did not push until the first pit, they must be dreaming. We all know that even if you tell this guy not to push Perez until the pit, he will not listen. Either Perez slowed down on purpose or there is a big difference in setting on the medium and this is not normal.

I don't think this judgement is right either, what about those races where Perez won and created a good distance against Verstappen? This means that Perez has lost it in the last several races and that is why you cannot explain it with the setting being that much different,of course is different as every driver together with his engineer choose one for the race and it can be different than his team mate yet not in the level to lose 1 second per lap in the same car as this is what happened yesterday in the race.It means Perez has to improve himself and the team got nothing to do to make him slower although I agree if they want they can but before the race and not during the race.

You're so right. Spa race on TV was a mess yesterday and I barely watched it to be honest because we had 4 d/c on TV during the race and one of those was Max vs Perez when Max went on leading the race so that was a bit frustrating.

At least the F1 subscription doesn't have the last year problems were you couldn't watch the race or some driver camera perspective but this year I've read and heard only good news from their app and I'm thinking next year to buy it too. Another reason would be that my TV productions are missing a lot of overtakes , battles from positions , pit-stops and many others ...it's like they forgot what fans wants to see during a race , right ?
