Life, Love and Laughter...
Congratulations to @casperBGD for winning the yellow jersey in the Belgium race. Once again, Verstappen succeeded in winning the race, while Leclerc and Perez also managed to secure their positions in the top ranks of the Belgian Grand Prix. My bet today was in favor of Piastri, but unfortunately, my hopes were dashed. Angry

That's the thing with rookies on the grid.  They tend to be inconsistent with all the traffic around them even though they got some pace during quali or the practice sessions.  Even Verstappen had his misses from to time when he first got to drive for Red Bull.

But yeah, Piastri is the guy to watch this season...  Kinda like how Russell was some years back when he was still with Williams.  The guy looks promising but we'll see.

Anyway, Dutch GP next.  Verstappen at 1.25.  Lol.  I feel like something unexpected is gonna happen.  Grin

Another easy win for Max, F1 is quite boring now.

Was much better with the previous generation of cars, but this generation ruined the competition.

No one expected otherwise in this race and it is normal that a great driver which is now 3 times world champion as I doubt he will lose this one,he has no opponent,he pass his team mate like he is driving a Haas or Apha Tauri and not like the team mate is driving the same car as him,in this context is super boring the F1.This is super boring because the fault of all other manufacturers who are not keeping up with the Honda engine, yes the same engine we all made fun during 2015-2016 at McLaren which Alonso called GP2 yet now is winning Championships like crazy without removing anything to Redbull aerodynamics it is the engine power that wins you races.
Although I think Perez doesn't deserve the Redbul, we have to accept that there is a difference between the cars. As for the question of why they are doing this, examples such as the vettel webber conflict can be counted. That is, the message that you can't be fast if we don't want you to be fast, you have to follow our directives. Perez managed to lead the first 13 laps on soft tires, maintaining the difference with Verstappen. When they pitted and switched to the medium, Verstappen suddenly started to fly. Since the drivers and the track did not change, what can explain the emergence of such a big difference with only one pit? If anyone says that Verstappen did not push until the first pit, they must be dreaming. We all know that even if you tell this guy not to push Perez until the pit, he will not listen. Either Perez slowed down on purpose or there is a big difference in setting on the medium and this is not normal.

I don't think this judgement is right either, what about those races where Perez won and created a good distance against Verstappen? This means that Perez has lost it in the last several races and that is why you cannot explain it with the setting being that much different,of course is different as every driver together with his engineer choose one for the race and it can be different than his team mate yet not in the level to lose 1 second per lap in the same car as this is what happened yesterday in the race.It means Perez has to improve himself and the team got nothing to do to make him slower although I agree if they want they can but before the race and not during the race.

I finally watched the race yesterday, hoping for some excitement because the penalty to Verstappen. Still, his car is too good - and he's a great driver as well so it was the same again.

I don't like the TV broadcast of F1 - and therefore rarely watch it. Looks slow and is extremely boring for me.
Yesterday my friend showed me how he watches through the app, where you can choose the driver and watch directly from the top of his car all the time - and I had a fantastic time watching like that.

I plan to buy the subscription for that, so expect me to be much better in the pool next season when I'll actually be watching the races Grin

You're so right. Spa race on TV was a mess yesterday and I barely watched it to be honest because we had 4 d/c on TV during the race and one of those was Max vs Perez when Max went on leading the race so that was a bit frustrating.

At least the F1 subscription doesn't have the last year problems were you couldn't watch the race or some driver camera perspective but this year I've read and heard only good news from their app and I'm thinking next year to buy it too. Another reason would be that my TV productions are missing a lot of overtakes , battles from positions , pit-stops and many others ...it's like they forgot what fans wants to see during a race , right ?

Now we have entered a one-month break in the season. We are going to continue with Zandvoort track after this break.

Verstappen has opened the gap way more with Perez in the driver standings. He is so comfortable in the races that he even offered his team to do an extra pit in the latest race just for practicing. Perez has started to make some improvement recently which is important for him. Horner already announced Perez for next season as well though. But this is Formula 1 so everything can change anytime. Hence Perez had better keep this up.

Congrats to Casper for winning this week yellow cap, personally I cannot complain either as despite a lot of things changed for my prediction because of Sainz and Piastri I still managed to be 3rd for this race too.The leaderboard is not update yet in Superbru website but personally I think as long as someone is able to be in the top 3 spots in many consecutive races, only benefits will reap toward the end of the season,so I am happy for myself no matter that it was an extremely boring race to tell the truth, the rain did come and unfortunately did nothing to change things.

Piastri and Mclearen risked it all.
Even without the collision, Piastri was doomed for their choice of fully committing the car to the rain.

If we got a full rainy race Piasti and Norris were probably end in 1st and 2nd positions, they gabled, and they lost.

Sometimes gambling does not pay off and it was this unfortunate case for the McLarens during this race.Their error was to believe to much in the rain and when the rain did come it only lasted a few minutes without real intensity in the track although it rained quite a lot in the pit arena in the garages of the cars as we saw that.McLaren I think made the right choice in the sense that they wanted a win also in this season and they thought what better time than now to gamble with our setup for a complete wet race which unfortunately did not come true for them.

Firstly, congrats to @casperBGD for taking the yellow cap this week!  As for the race it wasn't a very exciting one clearly. Verstappen was again unstoppable despite starting in 6th place. Perez couldn't keep his lead against him for a very long time. Verstappen was just too fast to overtake him comfortably. Perez couldn't defend him.

The incident between Sainz and Piastri was really unfortunate. Piastri pushed his luck too much from the inside and it didn't end good for both of them. It was a rookie mistake. He could have been more patient and go for an attack later after leaving that turn behind.

Sainz, what the fuck you do on the first corner, he ruined the Piastri race.
Sainz really wasn't to blame for that one as he was heading way ahead into the first corner and Piastri tried to go for a gap, which wasn't really there as it's usually a tight corner.

Going for an overtake there on the inside is just too risky and will likely result in damage.

Unfortunately it ruined both drivers race because overtaking in that corner in 1st lap shenanigans has always lead to many crashes here.

Great race from Yuki, who was able to get a top 10 finish. After Ricciardo showed a great performance last race in Hungary, Yuki took a revanche now in Belgium.

Congrats @casperBDG as well, very good predictions

Come on Perez, we only need you to fight a little against Max, man that was so easy to Verstappen to surpass him.

Sainz, what the fuck you do on the first corner, he ruined the Piastri race.

And yes, i agree F1 its very very boring now. Vettel its now fearing for his record.

Perez's bad performance this season is giving really good things to social media users. Here is a post that I laughed at very much today.

Riccardo is doing great for a driver who has been on break for a long time.

I think he will take Perez's seat the next year

That depends on how he will perform in these remaining races, most likely he will do better than his team mate as he has more experience but will also depend on the Perez performance during these remaining races.Another factor is what Verstappen thinks and most likely he will feel much more confident having Perez as team mate as he will not see any real threat coming to him while Ricciardo if given a winning car maybe will perform better than Perez and as such I am sure Verstappen will vote with a big no for RIcciardo coming again in the team.

Leclerc is also one of the really good drivers when it comes to defending their opponents. The start can be quite delightful because of that. Perez will surely try to have his best start to hunt him down already. We can see a dive from him at the end of the start straight or maybe a serious attack in the fastest part of the track a short time after.

If Leclerc manages to defend well against Perez and creates some safe time gap he can at least postpone the overtake by Verstappen a little more. But sooner or later Verstappen would take the lead and disappear. I guess there might even be a team call for Perez to give up his place for Verstappen not to hold him behind much.

We couldn't enjoy a full sprint race due to rainy weather but the part we watched was still nice. Seeing Piastri doing his best was good. He even took the lead for a short time. If he had a faster car it would have been really nice to watch a competition between him and Verstappen for the lead. But it was easy for Verstappen to overtake him again and have a comfortable finish.

It is still nice to see Piastri doing really well in his first year in Formula 1. He is lucky about one thing also that McLaren have got much more powerful after the recent upgrades. Now it depends on Piastri and Norris to carry their team to upper positions in the standings.

But it won't be easy for McLaren to catch up easily because the gap is quite big with their closest opponent now.

It's unfortunate the rainy weather affected the full sprint race, but it's great that you still enjoyed watching Piastri's performance. It's impressive that he briefly took the lead, and a competitive battle with Verstappen would have been exciting. Piastri's success in his first year in Formula 1 is promising, especially with McLaren's improved performance. However, closing the gap with their closest opponent won't be easy, and it will depend on both Piastri and Norris's efforts to push their team higher in the standings. Racing can be unpredictable, so let's see how the rest of the season unfolds.
