The gap from top to mid table is a matter of one gameweek's worth of points. You should be aiming for number one. Too many games left to play, too many points left to drop, too many Slam Points to ignore. Don't kid yourself, though, this is always going to be more luck than knowledge

With that, I'm hoping my luck sits with me well with exacts. Nice round, though. Absolute haul!

City is so bad if Chelsea/Arsenal/Liverpool don't win the title, they gave it away. Manchester United are more like Manchester Broken. I hope Barca takes the lessons of bad player acquisition.


Manchester is not far from Liverpool and they still played. The scenes didn't even look windy, so yeah I thought it was quite strange. I always find it funny in Europe they show on the news pictures of floods and storms and I always go like huh. They close schools and offices because of this?

Not just great clubs, but with great managers who can shuffle the pack nicely. And even with that, it cannot be sustained for many seasons as one has to be second choice.

City cannot seem to catch a break this season, they look to have lost a lot of their passion and fire which drove them to trophies. Same team of 2 seasons ago go on to win that match after the second equalizer even with the red card, which I think was a wrong call.

United spent the entire week talking down on out set piece set up only to try to replicate it

We've seen games played on a cold night at Stoke, and they've never been postponed; I've seen the storm at Everton ( video) , and it's nothing compared to the conditions Russian clubs play in.

FA helping Liverpool escape early kick off glitch after almost losing against Newcastle.

Not all regions are affected equally by the storm ion the same way, and normal rain never stopped a match being played in England.
I dont know if that was the reason for both teams from Manchester not winning their matches, but I gave up hoping on Man United long time ago.

Amorim is settling in well, isn't he? Two defeats in the last two games, and the team is playing like shit; it's too early to start calling him out, but the last two defeats are entirely his fault; if something isn't broken, don't change it. Why is Rashford on the bench again after two good games?

Thought Manchester City would win but they couldn't and went back to their bad suit.

Look at red Manchester... he almost suffered another crushing defeat but Forest is still ahead now (2-3) This season the Manchester duo has no fangs anymore.

Why are you only worried about Manchester City when you have two times runner-up right behind you and you're not much better than them this season? The only reason you're ahead is due to their early injury crisis.

We (Chelsea) are not in the title race this season, so don't worry about us; we are simply winning games for pleasure.

I lost my bet of City to win but I am not unhappy at all. More closer to the title 😁

In 8/15 games City conceeded first and only 3 teams are worst then them this season: Leicester, Wolves and Southampton whose oponnets scored first 10/15 times. So yeah, betting against them in the first half actually make sense, or at least on their oponnents scoring first.

And while writing this post, Palace scored another one so its 2-1 now.  

It's a great start LOL. Although I took a chance to bet for City to win, the odd is tentative. After having a great game against Liverpool, Castle is in pressure I think. Brentford scored 😂

Palace game just kicked off. In a normal world, I would have bet on Palace to win. But this is not a normal world, where their odds are only 45/10! I've been spoilt for years on 20/1 odds on these games, I will miss them a lot...

Impossible, almost. Except for the really great clubs. We should aspire to that. I actually don't know if Kelleher can play without the good line in front of him and that was sort of my point -- he's untested in that setup. His presence is what I meant by his command -- he is subdued.

I have no problem. There are no chance for me to be even in the top 10.

I'm not aiming for first or second place, I just want to stay in the top five.

But, of course, who's gonna believe me? All of us aim to be number one. It’s a matter of knowledge and luck who will actually make it there in the end. It's more a matter of luck for me actually because compared to you guys, I know nothing about these games.

Let’s hope the weather stays nice for me in the future.

Seems like the first game already postponed (Everton - Liverpool) and I don't see how other games can proceed if this storm is already so bad.

Otherwise seems like chance for Arsenal and Chelsea to cut their lead to 4 points.

I think this is one of my worst rounds in Premier League and I dont know how yellow cap winner did it, but congrats to him.
Word of warning to everyone, there is big storm Darragh in England and it is possible for some matches to de delayed or postponed.

Yep I was terrible and I will wear that badge of wooden spoon until someone take it over. Obviously it wont be me anymore right after the weekend fixtures sticking with favourites for most of the games

Anyway, my original thoughts on the last round was actually trying to be cheeky by getting some draws or perhaps the underdog to win. Some of the teams are going to play against a harder teams on weekend and UCL so thats was the thoughts I had in my brain, obviously thats not working so yeah that was really terrible

Kinda regret not taking Fulham, I check their statistics against Tottenham on the last game and I should have known that they are better than Brighton

Terrible @arallmuus, you probably tried against some of the favorites.

This round there wasn't much change only 10 points gained but that's not too bad, we need to chase more points but it's a bit harder.

Tottenham and Fulham didn't get any points, this is a disappointing result of course especially Spurs.

It is almost impossible to have a world class back up in any position, those quality of players are not comfortable being second choice to someone else. Even an average keep starts to dream of more if they get a run of matches while the first choice is out.

Kelleher should be able to play without VVD/Konate in front of him, he has quick instincts and is good in saving spot kicks. His lack of presence in aerial duels is one flaw that stands out. I think he is old enough to not be comfortable staying second choice forever and young enough to want to try his luck somewhere else after winning everything at Liverpool.

Kelleher's very good, don't get me wrong. He's really been excellent cover, he's more ice-cold than I ever gave him credit for, but I just rate Alisson better as a more instinctive goalmouth predator. He proved this in 2 seasons at least, when the CB pairing in front of him weren't jiving. There was this one season we played with something like 20+ different CB pairs when VVD was out, Alisson commanded that well and was sharp af. That for me is a true test of a keeper as a leader of that box. VVD marshalls the backline, but the keeper-sweeper owns that box, and you feel it whenever the Brazilian is playing, less so when Kelleher does.

I hate bringing in stats as well but this season we've allowed the fewest quality shots on our goal. Of those, even with fewer games, Alisson has prevented double the goals that Kelleher has. Full credit to Konate/VVD for that, some credit to Gravenberch. We're a lot more pragmatic on the backline now so we can afford Irish and Georgian with tongue-twister first names (I'm going to call Georgian boy Mama from now on) cover but positioning, command, distribution, (and that instinct I keep talking about) Alisson has never been in doubt. I have watched so many good keepers and loved Pepe, loved even Dudek, but Alisson towers over them, by god.

We do need a world-class #2 though, all good teams have that fallback, esp when Alisson is prone to injury. The competition only makes the 2 better. That's really why we're bringing in new guy, to me, in case, and in all likelihood, Kelleher goes elsewhere for first-choice pick. Elsewhere won't have VVD/Konate in front though, I'm sure he knows this as well.
