The last time I checked the new regulations it said only about the top two countries that receive an additional ticket. At the moment it is Italy + Germany.
I did some research to confirm the information I knew about it and I cannot really make sense of how the extra four teams will be decided. I can see that Italy and Germany are 1 and 2 on the access list. But how are the other two slots filled?

By the way, theoretically, if Liverpool or West Ham win the Europa League, and England can beat Germany, then 6 teams from England will get into the Champions League at once.
If it is Liverpool, who will already have a slot from direct qualification, I do not think it will make it 6.
~

Yes, you are right about Liverpool which will get a ticket due to being in the top 4. This means that to create a crowd of English clubs we must wait for a feat from West Ham  Grin
What two other slots do you mean? Top 4 gets 4 slots. +1 slot if England oust Germany and another +1 slot if West Ham win the Europa League. I think the distribution of slots in the Europa League does not depend on the Champions League and those 2 clubs that are below the Champions League zone will receive their tickets. Well, there is still the option that Aston Villa will win the Conference League and then there will be 3 clubs from the Premier League in the Europa League.
It turns out that the maximum number could be as follows: 6 clubs in the Champions League, 3 clubs in the Europa League and the 10th club in the Conference League.
Good news for Chelsea!  Grin

You gotta feel sorry for the EPL under 21 fans - they're stuck with Foden, Palmer, Halaand and Saka for the player of the season awards for the next decade and non of these players are Joy to watch except for Saka (sometimes).
They are all joys to watch i=on their good days. They do not play with a lot of flair like some of the older players, their style is more direct and aimed at productivity. Stars will also be bought in and brought up

Lennon, Walcott, and Sterling were all very direct players at their young age and were a joy to watch, so being direct does not preclude anyone from being juicy, do you see what I mean?

The one young star I love watching even when he isn't scoring is Liverpool's Elliot; he's direct and technically good.

The EPL is lacking Samba boys - the ones Chelsea bought were all sent out on loan.

Quote
That will be an absurdity. Top scorer? Maybe he retains it. Best player? Definitely no.

Halaand is still in contention and leading the race as this point. ( Going to be the worse player to win)  Nothing special about him this season.

What is happening to me in this round… so unlucky had 1-2 on Wolves and 1-2 on Tottenham and some big chances were missed and i ended up losing some really big points and dropped to third position even now that is a problem now for me… i cannot believe how unlucky i am in the last few weeks hopefully it comes back to me in the next matches, rounds.

2-1 is one of my goto scores and it usually works out but the draws are what kills most of us when there seems to be a clear favorite you have to go for the win. Big points for all of you at the top, cryptofrka is looking very good in the big pools.

Guys like us just wanna go in the top 10 Tongue

And yeah poor Foden, hattrick but will only be considered for young prize. And then worse by the time they are 'adults' they are all worn out Tongue

Foden with the Young player of the Season performance again. Who's stopping him now???
Who is stopping him from winning Young Player of the season?

Manchester City have been experiencing difficulties against teams at top places this season. Today Guardiola tried a different tactic by leaving Haaland on the bench and became successful about this. Do you think this result they got would threaten Haaland's place in the starting eleven or do you think it is only a one-match thing?

I don't think Man City's comfortable win against Aston Villa pose any threat to Haaland's position in the team. Alvarez was Haaland's replacement for the game but despite Alvarez playing for the entire 90 minutes, he couldn't get on the scoresheet, although he did contribute a lot to the team's game flow and play build ups better than Haaland would probably have done had he start the game instead.
Guardiola in my opinion, decided to make sure all his players are ready for the final laps of the season, since they're still competing on 3 fronts. De Bruyne didn't play either, while both players (KDB and Haaland) were already warming up to get introduced into the match, scoring another goal which guaranteed the team's victory was logically why neither of them later got subbed on eventually.

Nothing to see here it's just the Manager saving the legs of his two best players for the champions League game against Real Madrid next week. The fixtures are chocked up and this is the only way to manage the team..

Aston villa Isn't beating the Man City bitch allegations anytime soon. These lots spread legs every time they play Mancity. Foden with the Young player of the Season performance again. Who's stopping him now???

Liverpool could be the shocker of this round, I'm having this feelings in my balls. Sheffield United is about to shock the world.

I also lost too many points on first five games but today three games were much better, and I have some recovery even still I have feeling now I am going to stay down because in this season I have too many matches without predictions which give me no points and this is surely going to hurt at the end.
Tottenham was the biggest disappointment for me as well in this round because I was expecting a win for them with their chances could be high for staying at the top four.

...I just hope that Saint-loup and MoSala don't have monster rounds.

Nice of me to have called him out. I'm 5th overall currently and he's got 5,5 points more than me.
If this isn't a monster round, I don't know what is.

Joca97 - now it's suddenly a 4-team race for the top prize, eh?

Can't remember who it was who liked to go for draws (other than Steve and Trofo), yesterday must have been a dream for them. Naturally, any accas I had died the worst possible death (drawing just always feel so empty to me).

I'm with Igebotz here, got some shizzle on Villa -- is 20/1 Luton any good? It should be 30/1 really with the devastation that Arsenal have been carrying out.

Draw is the worst market out there!!

Arsenal is going to bury Luton but BTS @2.02 is certain - no team find little space in-between lines more than Luton this season and are very good at set piece too. Beat them 5 but they must always find a way to score one.

Despite the heavy rotation to this Arsenal's starting line up, they've still been way too much to handle for Luton, Arsenal could have easily been up by 3-4 goals just in the first 45 minutes, they'll most likely be heading into the dressing with a 2 goals advantage.

Going by the 44 minutes played so far, this could be still be a 4-5 goals win for Arsenal, while I don't think there should be any expectation from Luton today, as Arsenal have been pretty solid in defense too.

Does 7th place give the club a ticket to the Europa League (which is still significantly worse than the Champions League) and not to the Conference League?
With the new Champions league format the English Premier league (and 3 other best competitive leagues) should have 5 qualifying teams for the UCL next season. If that happens, 6th and 7th have a shot.
Newcastle can also finish above 7th if they finish the season strong.

In addition, I don’t know how the “extra” places in the Europa League will be distributed if the fifth team qualifies for the Champions League. By the way, theoretically, if Liverpool or West Ham win the Europa League, and England can beat Germany, then 6 teams from England will get into the Champions League at once. Moreover, if the “tickets” are saved and transferred down the steps, 7th and 8th place will get into the Europa League and 9th place will get into the Conference League.

I haven't gotten over the final match day City-Villa under Gerrard... when Coutinho put Villa up 2 nil... and still lost 3-2. That's just how impossible it is to beat City.
Too much was at stake on that day for City to lose that match.

Yeah, final day dramas, we (Liverpool) have given Prem League a lot of memories. Still somewhat bummed about that season but there's always too much at stake. We had even, more, arguably, and yet still created Crystalgate (haha).

I don't know what handicap this is based on you said +2 goals, but If that's Man City not to win by 2 goals or more, I really don't think the odds is worth it @ 2.05, I think if Man City are going to win this, it will a kind of statement, or their struggle will just simply continue, I'd have fancy the chances of the latter, if Aston Villa will not be without their biggest goal threat, while Man City defense is kind of getting into a better shape, and that was evident against Arsenal.

My bet for this game would be on an individual team to score certain amount of goals, and my decision is currently tilting towards Aston Villa under 0.5 goals scored.

I'm giving Aston villa two goals ahead to win. The odd has increased to 2.25 looking little bit scary now after the Watkins News I guess.

Aston villa O.5 goal is 1.70 - not bad at all.
