I have to say that I did not expect Arsenal to win so dominantly today.
When the teams are so close to each other, having a big GD gives you that extra bit of leeway and they are increasing it even further.
It's basically an extra point for them at this point in time.

To be fair to them, they have the best attack and the best defence in the league so far - statistically, they deserve the title. They have the hardest schedule until the end though - so let's see where they end up.

No matter the fantastic statistics, I still have them behind both Liverpool and City.

I was never expecting him to put Foden on the bench against Palace away even though he made a hat-trick 3 days ago. Kevin De Bruyne was the most important name for the team to make the comeback by playing great today.
Foden is Pep Guardiola's favorite son and he will be specialized for the Champions League match. Cheesy

My speculation is that Pep already knows that the match with Palace will win.

Over to Liverpool now to win at Old Trafford tomorrow. 4.8 odds on United to win is worth a shot. They have been erratic all season, hopefully tomorrow is one of those days they put up a good shift, maybe for a draw.
Not daring to take the chances of Manchester United this team is really erratic but Liverpool's chances are much greater to catch up with the points left behind now.

If the draw then Manchester United's performance is good. Tongue

At this rate Bayern Munich could have lost the Bundesliga officially before the second leg, will improve the odds of Arsenal.

It is really very difficult to predict what kind of a lineup Pep Guardiola will have. City and Liverpool seem to be fond of conceding early goals I have been itching to bet live on first 10 minutes goal for their opponents but never got my timing right.

Question is, is this just incidental or is this a probable pattern with teams who want to dominate from the offset?

Arsenal seem the complete opposite.

In my opinion, such bets are pure gambling, by the way, what was the odds?
After the first half, the odds for City to win were 1.54 and it was really tempting, but in this round I expect one of the favorites to lose points so I don’t take the risk. The score is already 4-1 in favor of City and it is obvious that it is not City that will lose points in this round. Eh, +54% could have been done in literally an hour, but I didn’t believe in this possibility.

When we look at the remaining matches of the 3 teams in the championship race, Liverpool will have taken a big step on the road to the championship if they manage to win against Manchester United away this week. My biggest fear is that Liverpool are having difficulties against Manchester United quite much this season. They were eliminated by their opponent in the FA Cup and got a draw by 0-0 at Anfield.

Generally speaking, it is difficult to imagine that Liverpool will not reach a single win out of 3 games against a team like United, so a bet with odds of 1.61 looks attractive. But after all three leaders simultaneously won in the previous round, I have concerns that in this round someone may lose points, so I won’t place a bet for now. First, we need to see how the game ends for City, which is experiencing problems and the live odds are already 1.45.

Well, United (Manchester and Newcastle) and Chelsea are all mid clubs anyway  Grin

Arsenal return to the top of the table today. Hopefully one of the mid clubs take a point from Liverpool tomorrow and we remain there.

Injuries are a part of football. A. Villa and Newcastle have been hit by injury crisis this season, they have spent far less than Man. United but are still performing fairly good in comparison. The problem I have with Ten Hag is the lack of a style of play, with or without injuries.

Yes, but losing 60% of your first team players to long-term injury is a problem not only for the club, but also for the coach. Prior to the Newcastle injuries, Chelsea and Manutd had been struggling with injuries since last season, but I'm not going to talk about Chelsea because Poch is shit; he did nothing when all of these players were available, whereas ETH Manuted was pushing for the title and a strong Top4 when all of his players were available.

Arsenal suffered some injuries last season and squandered a big lead to Manchester City. Newcastle went from fighting for a top-3 spot to losing seven games in a row due to injury.

ETH is handling a very difficult job + fans pressure.

Maybe Ten Hag should be sacked already, but Manchester United already has a very long line of failed managers it's difficult to know who to put the blame on anymore. This will be only his second full season at the club and if he can somehow get them into the champions league or maintain Europa league spot, it may be worth giving a shot under the new owners.

Poch joined a fragile rebuild and is tasked with turning that into a top club, not an easy task at all. Definitely needs at least one more season.

ETH is not the problem, and even if he leaves, the next manager will face the same difficulty. Man has struggled with injuries from the beginning of the season. Players kept coming and going, so he had to change tactics every week to fit the available players. Maguire and Dalot were literally removed from his team; they are now back since Martinez and others are still absent, yet he is still vying for the TOP 4. He is not the problem; he simply lacks the necessary tools. He's still the best choice out there...

The only manager who doesn't know what he's doing is Poch. He's been exposed again.

Thank you for the clarification. I read this on their website but didn't get a full hang of it, makes a lot of sense now.

I expect at the end of the season, England will get an edge over either Italy or Germany.

Asides of another bad weekend for me in this pool.

What a game we had yesterday, i see the last 20 minutes of the game and man was incredible. What a game to be on Stamford Bridge and see it in live.

Anyways both teams are pure shit and for me both teams has to sack the coachs, ETH and Pochettino showed they dont have a reliable team and they had so much time to work on it.
The same fate in this pool, downward sloping bad luck. Sad

This match was unexpected we didn't expect a goal like this at the end but obviously it was unstoppable Chelsea's anger paid off in stoppage time.

I wonder if Erik Ten Hag and Pochettino are sacked how this club will develop at least for next season then change will always be there but sacking early is not a solution for them just throwing money away for them to leave and the coach that comes.
One of the craziest matchs in recent times with good win for the Chelsea and now things are more troubling for the Ten Hag because with this defeat and now another defeat which is waiting for them on Sunday things could be terrible, and we will have no survive for the Ten Hag most chances he is going to face exit at the end of this season.
Pochettino is going to have better chance for survive because his team is having chance for staying into better spot at the end of this season, even It's still going to take time for having better results but look like now they can do much better in coming matches after this good win.

Game week 31 and it’s the most exciting title race for a long time with 3 teams separated by 3 points.

Crystal Palace vs Man City
Brighton vs Arsenal
Man Utd vs Liverpool

Please Liverpool just win.

What two other slots do you mean?
The number of clubs participating in the UCL was increased from 32 to 36, meaning they are adding an extra 4 teams. If the two top leagues have 1 extra slot each that still remains 2 slots to be filled.
~

One additional slot is given to the third team from the country's national championship, which is in 5th place according to the UEFA coefficient. One more additional slot will be given to one of the clubs competing in the qualifying tournament. Moreover, this qualifying tournament will consist of four stages and not three as before. In general, outsiders get additional chances, but the group stage turns into a garbage competition that you can not watch at all and calmly wait for the playoffs, the composition of which will still be the same as usual  Grin

What a comeback from Chelsea. They thoroughly deserved to win on the night and just like against Brentford, United deserved to lose. Cole Palmer, great guy.
I was thinking which second choice keeper has better filled the boots left vacant by injuries this season to the first choice.

Caoimhín Kelleher has impressed for Liverpool in the absence of Allison winning the confidence of his defenders and also the fans.
Petrovic has been a roller-coaster ride for Chelsea. He has shone on occasions and not covered himself in Gold in others. He has time to gain more experience and improve, especially aerially.
Stefan Ortega is having one of his best spells for City and is already considering a quest for first team football elsewhere. He has been impressive between the sticks.
Martin Dúbravka has replaced Nick Pope well at Newcastle as well, repaying the confidence the team has shown in him.

Overall, Martin Dúbravka has been the most impressive for me among all the replacement goalkeepers. Who has been yours?
Was there any name I missed?
