The UEFA vs City scenario will just repeat itself - the crimes were proven, but City escaped punishment for procedural reasons.
I do not think that case was a simplistic as this, but heck, I did not follow that case up either.

We will need all the optimism we can get to get through this round of the UCL. Tough match up yesterday and another tough match on Sunday. Bayern have lost the league so will have the liberty to fully rest their players this weekend.

Nothing gone well with me in this season and as a result I was not motivated enough. Honestly speaking I did not watch the matches regularly except the Liverpool matches. Hopefully next season we both will have a better standing.

BTC sent. That's $1,038, man you are deserve it. Enjoy.

Thank you mate for your nice words. I didn't expect Bitcoin price to increase this much while making the side bets at the beginning of the season. I think that both of us can be in top 10 next season. As there is a festive holiday in my country now I will spend this money for that. Thanks also for the excellent timing. Smiley

cls63, let me know the address to clear my fucking losing bet. However by any chance if you start scoring like me and I start receiving exact picks for the next all matches then surely I will be the winner. In that case you can send the coins back to me 😂

We were both very bad this season compared to last season. Thankfully you were much worse than me. Cheesy As entering top 10 is needed to win a prize this year I don't have much chance to win a prize in the pool. However it is still nice to make some money thanks to side bets. If you want to have revenge next year then maybe we can repeat the bet. Tongue

Unfortunately, cheating clubs have long taken the position of “too big to fail” and everyone understands this. In a war with a potential Super League and the Saudis, even if tomorrow City is caught bribing referees/fixing games/collusion with bookmakers, they will get away with it.
The spot light on the case may be too much to wish it away and the verdict Everton and Forest have received will only fuel it for when the hearing starts. If City get away then it will be cause the lawyers did a damn good job and they really did not do anything, otherwise I foresee a huge sanction.
Chelsea I think will also wiggle away.

You are a great optimist  Wink
My prediction is this: all these proceedings will last for years (more precisely, they will continue to last for years) and will end either in nothing (due to the expiration of the statute of limitations haha) or in a small meaningless fine. The UEFA vs City scenario will just repeat itself - the crimes were proven, but City escaped punishment for procedural reasons.

Deep pockets always helping for having favorable decisions with I am also sure City will be having no punishment for their 115 violations because they are having enough sources for fighting and winning through their lawyers and other links which are helping them around for the years and as also mentioned in above post they are doing all things for having better results and consistency in the league.
Bribery does not occur at the scale that the fans make it out to be. If it did, any top club in England will have the resources to use that loophole, Forest and Everton included, they can also get top, top lawyers. If anything will help City to get off the hook it will be their pedigree in the league and how they increase the competitiveness of the competition.
They are still charges for now, not violations. I am not a City fan, but they are innocent until proven guilty.

Everton and Nottingham Forest are not capable to compete with these big whales of UEFA soccer, and they give them punishment for the keeping things at the high level, they are doing their job on merit.

In other news[1] Everton have been docked an additional two points, taking the total tally to 8 for the season. They are set to appeal the latest reduction

This is some kind of clownery, and the timing is such that it might be better if the initial decision on the 10-point penalty remained unchanged. In conditions where your position in the standings is constantly changing (regardless of you), it is probably difficult to maintain psychological stability.
But the main point of the clownery is that, as I understand it, those facts of violations by the City and Chelsea will never be considered.

Yeah i fully support the fact of punish teams who dont follow the rules and make some moneylaundry or not so good financial movements but man....... be serious about it, not only because you only target small and medium teams but also because you cant go foward and in reverse cutting and adding points to X team, when you play a game you are thinking about it and what is good to do, for example hold a draw in X match or go full for the win ebcause you need the point, this is also double unfair.

Congrats to Big G (hilariousandco's lurking friend), shogun47 and arallmuus for winning the Round 32 Yellow Cap

Didnt even know I win until I read this post. Heck, I didnt even bother to check superbru because I know on my hunch that I was doing so bad. I literally filled everything in a rush after I realized I that I didnt fill in my prediction after Crystal Palace - City game was over

Thanks !

Man City have 115 violations, yes ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTEEN.

and also huge amount of money as well as armies of top lawyers to back them up I assumed

Man City have been delaying and not cooperating. I assume their penalties are going to be a lot more severe.

Only if they are ever charged with all those violations

Man City have 115 violations, yes ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTEEN. There is a court date set for their trial next year but it’s not public yet. I think the reason it is taking so long with them is because how extensive their trial is. It is obviously a lot of hard work for the PL to gather all evidence and make it bulletproof.

Also Everton cooperated wth the investigation and their breaches. Man City have been delaying and not cooperating. I assume their penalties are going to be a lot more severe.

If they are found guilty it sure as hell will put a lot of jeopardy on their previously won titles, could there be a possibility of not just points deduction but also striping them of one or two titles if they had won multiple title during the years of these violation ?

That'd be some significant dent on Guardiola's Résumé with City.

Major difference may be that Everton pleaded guilty and those clubs did not.

Probably these clubs have slightly different weights and if City can afford to send the League to hell (without providing the requested audit if I remember correctly) then Everton understands that if they get impudent they will quickly find themselves in the Championship or even lower   Roll Eyes

It is an unfortunate situation for Everton and puts the club and players in an uncomfortable situation. Losing points you struggle for on the pitch in a conference room messes with the head a lot.

Arsenal dropping points against Tottaham and Chelsea is inevitable - I will be there for the last laugh no matter what ..
Major obstacle now is fatigue. We played one game at the end of March, have already played two in April and have six more to go this month. At this rate, not only the top clubs will be a challenge, a visit to the Molineux will be a tough ask as games are not won on paper, you have to go into the pitch and drag out the 3 points.

All attention on Bayern now. The Emirates tomorrow needs to be the loudest it has been in a long time.

As expected, Liverpool slip up after a couple of hard fought wins in recent weeks. I have been expecting them to drop points first and the momentum swings back to North London. Game on.

The Liverpool defence is no different from the Chelsea defence; the only difference is that VDJ makes them slightly more solid. They had been moving games into the last minutes, so it was only a matter of time before their luck ran out.

Very nice! I think it is the first time for me in the Premier League prediction pool. Already looking forward to next season as this season I wasn't doing very well and the only goal per round can be the yellow cap, but it is still nice to know that there is something to play for! Thanks @Sportsbet.io and @jeremypwr

There are only a few rounds left, and I can't find any information about whether there will be a prize for the top 10 or 20? 😁 It's nice to know when I'm in 11th place haha😁
So I decided for simplicity to just go with the same top ten payouts as we did last year:

0.1
0.05
0.04
0.03
0.02
0.015
0.014
0.013
0.012
0.011

= 0.305

What's left after fees will go to the highest overall weekly round (ten match rounds or less are only counted). First place is currently Colorpoll54 who got 23 points all the way back from the first round, so that's who you need to beat. There are 8 rounds left to play.

Not so bad for me then, I suppose because I've managed to work myself back into the top 10, I'm currently ranked in the 8th position, I just have to keep moving now with the remaining 8 weeks or no matter what secure my place in the top. However, the gaps between this positions are very marginal ones, one really can have a bad week now, 'cos everything could just go south.
