Talk about goals 🥅

Had it not been for the low scoring games in the Liverpool and and Leicester game's, on average we talking about 4 goals in each game Shocked crazy afternoon and it's only in 6 games!!

You know what, we should have a few correct scores in this round now that I have thought about it... perhaps the Reds and the Foxes gave these away easily, but winning the yellow cap should be something below 15pts..maybe below 12 pts Roll Eyes

Palace are so shit but still managed to pull one against us. Liverpool goals are decreasing bit by bit, the next game would be Zero. I will be there.. Grin

Slot is rotating heavily, won't be surprised if he starts Nunez next game. Not a big fan but if it means we're fuller in the tank later in the season when we're used to (and I imagine he sees we've had a kind fixture list so far) then I won't complain.

Didn't even watch this game, turned screen on to see City behind (damn Kovacic) and Arsenal without a goal but playing well, I regret not putting some bets on today's game.

P.S. Wolves, poor, Wolves.

...Our RBs are good but the CBs aren't.
This made me think you guys start a game with 2 CBs and 2 RBs, leaving the left wing completely unprotected.  Grin

We usually play 4-3-3, 2 CBs and two inverted RBs + 2 CMs + 1AM and 3 Attackers. The two RBs are meant to invert in to the DM zone when the team is attacking and fall back to RBs position when defending. The LS is working perfectly, the only weakness is the RS.

Palace lacked invention today. Despite Liverpool controlling most of the game there was something to be won from that game if they would have been able to dig deep. They look very different from the side that finished last season, the loss of Oliseh was big, but they should have been able to start this season better than they have.

We have scored the most goals in the league in the last three games; scoring is not our weakness at the moment; defending is, we simply need to stop spreading legs at the back.
You guys have conceded 7 goals, City 6 and Arsenal 5, that is not a terrible number as you are making it out to be and does not indicate a poor defense at all. Liverpool have been the only stand out team defensively, letting only 2 goals past them and while some will say it is because of their fixture run, lots of bigger teams have let in goals from much smaller ones, like us against Leicester. Our comeback on that day was good, but you cannot be losing the initiative in games like that.

If you watched how we conceeded those goals especially the two against Brighton you will understand how shambles our defense line is-  those were avoidable goals every day of the week. Our RBs are good but the CBs aren't.

Your trip to Anfield later this month will be a major test, I do hope you guys win.

Two new managers settling in quite well- I haven't checked the FA roosters to see who's assigned to official the game but hopefully we don't get Anthony Taylor. We haven't won at Anfield forever but Klopp is gone now and things could change.

Out possessing City shouldn't be a flex, there are clubs that defeat them or give them a hard time with draws, Chelsea was once one for those clubs but can't say that anymore. We shouldn't be losing games like that or what was then need for the possession when at the end of game what matters is the 3 points or is there something we got rewarded for because of the possession? Our next big game is at Anfield and we haven't won there like in forever. We should get something from that game as un_rank said. Maybe we should focus more on scoring and not possession in that game because if we go for possession, Liverpool will hurt us with counters. I'm cool with a draw than a lost.

Possession isn't a flex I understand, but in this context it is, you have to look beyond the scoreline because they don't always tell the whole story. You may have a flawless game and still lose; we played well against Citeh and still lost, but I was more concerned in how the boys handled the game.

For what it is worth, Chelsea had City's number all through last season and picked up 2 draws, IIRC, only narrowly losing to them in cup competition. I really like Marasca so far this season, he and Slot have been standout additions to the premier league and are on the job like they have always belonged in clubs of that caliber.

Cool, thanks. Important to remember we are in an early bull market. The price of Bitcoin will likely be a lot higher when the season finishes in May 2025. The BTC/USD conversion will be a decent amount of money for the top places here.

I’m currently sitting in 5th place but hopefully have a good weekend of predictioms ahead. Let’s start with a nice Liverpool win hey Wink

0.05 bitcoin reward for first place is great, but it is long way to the top and darbit already have a big advantage.
I would be happy if I end up in top 10 and very happy if I finish in first five places, but it is not going to be easy task.

New round is starting in few days and this could be the last days for Erik ten Hag as Man United manager.
I think he is most hated person in  Manchester now, and Aston Villa managed to beat Bayern in Champions League.
Time for making predictions in superbru.

We've won matches we lost last season, out possessed Citeh, scoring for fun. Those are the real tests for me.

I'm still wondering why Arsenal didn't go for an actual striker this season. Sesko, Toney, and Osimhen were all on the market.
Sesko was approached but the deal did not go through. The Toney deal was one we have been chasing for a long time, but he did not look so keen to join us and would have cost too much for us to get him. Osimhen was never an option considering the situation around the club and player.

If the 115 charges against them are true, no one competing on their own will be able to catch up. Pep's football IQ is undoubtedly good, but if the team is getting nasty and cheating the system, he must leave.

He said something about leaving if he discovers that the club is playing dirty, he will leave, but the tone of his voice has since changed; it appears that he is either involved in the dirty job or that he is paid to maintain playing clean. Either way he needs to go

It looks like true so far. At least it has spreaded everywhere on the internet. To be honest, it makes sense at the same time. Because Manchester City was said to have broken the rules so many times while building this amazing squad. But they didn't get punished fairly. Maybe this is the time they are getting the punishment they deserve. I heard it was November in which this case would get active.

In that condition, Manchester City could get really heavy punishments. This could cause Pep to leave earlier too maybe.  Sad

An all out striker will be a great addition, but with how tight the margins have been, that may not be enough, we need all the players to start scoring and have multiple ways to break down stubborn teams. Martinelli has not been scoring as much, Jesus is under-performing and almost all goal contributions are coming from Saka or Havertz, the collective needs to step up.

Sesko should have accepted our proposal though, damn!  Sad

Kai and Saka cannot propel you to titles on their own ( they're burning too much). The last time we won a major trophy with Tuchel, we had the most players on the score sheet that season; such teams are unplayable.

I think he has done great for his first 10 or so games, but you are right that he needs to be tested against better opponents.

You will need a 25+ goal scorer a season to pull that - your best player and top scorer of last season is only on 1 goal this season( skipped the assists for a reason) while the robot is already on double digits from 6 games. Your club is the only closest thing to Citeh, the only difference is the Robot. Get a robot!!!  Grin

There's an argument that Enzo Maresca hasn't done much things impactful to the players, that he's just profiting from where Pochettino stop as the team was already playing better under him.

The direction was not clear when Pochetino was sacked at the time he looked to building something with the team, but Enzo Maresca was a very good addition and has a clear pattern of football he wants his team to play. I will not put it beyond him to challenge for the league title after a few seasons or sooner even.

Take a look at the defences, no improvement there just that we're scoring more goals but they aren't against bigger teams yet and I see some sense in those statements. Winning the league over Pep should give you more bragging rights because the man is a beast (on another level) and I mean winning for real not what Liverpool did in COVID.

To win the league though you don't necessary have to own a 25+ top striker but you can do that with your attacking options being technical with the ball and finishing chance they get (modern day football style). Having 3/4 players with 10 to 15+ gaols contribution individually, should give you some advantage. You must not necessary depend on the strikers.

PS: Pep leaving isn't going to be good for the league, other managers need to catch up. They need him to be giving them the challenge. If he leaves others will relax.
He will not stay forever, he normally does not stay this long at a club, so it is no surprise he may be leaving soon. I will thoroughly enjoy winning a league title while Pep I still here.

Half of your players are approaching big 26 on average - the sooner Pep leaves, the better.

I will never forget Marina for pulling out of Halaand's deal. Letting the robot join Pep dark art rangers was the biggest mistake.

Don't think there's any over hype recently with Chelsea's performance, back to back wins and we aren't struggling to win but doing it while scoring lots of goals too.
