^ Arteta will probably introduce... Sterling haha. Sigh, saying his name still leaves bile in my throat. Of all the players I thought I'd gotten over, I have no idea why I still feel bitter about this guy.
What do you have against him ? A really cool guy off the pitch but he's football IQ is way below 10, he's not the same he was.

An old injury to my days when I had so much time I could even follow Academy players and our U21s. There wasn't that much to really like in those dark days, but we had a bit of good cheer with Liverpool's SAS hit strike, and at the same time a young kid called Sterling was signed for our Academy, he was exciting, fun, and had such a good attitude. Senior team, I thought, wow, he was going to carry on from Suarez/Sturridge, benefit from Coutinho (another guy I bet regrets leaving) but then he became a nasty little brat about a contract extension. Don't remember the numbers anymore but we offered top dollar, and he said something about us never going to pay his true value or something and I was like, well, ok off you go, then. So glad when he signed for Citeh. Got his big money, but I would say, was never the player he could have been with us.

So yeah, I don't know, it's been 10 years but I was emotionally invested in him as a kid, I haven't really gotten over him hahaha.

There's a possibility, they can also take all 3 points too. Although man city are in great form but Brentford has what it takes to cause an upset. Also just as you have said, Pep might want to play more of his second choices in preparation for the champions league. Pep priority has to be the champions league. Winning the league won't excite him that much again as he can win without even trying.

Yeah, my thoughts. It does please me I took Brentford at over 13/1 while odds as of now have dropped to 11/1 on some books -- I think pricing in Haaland's possible absence (he won't miss the game, of course, he's actually going to play to "celebrate" his bereavement).

I think Man Utd are cursed since Ferguson left, long may it continue.
I do not think they are cursed, they just have not returned to the drawing board. They were desperate to return to their previous heights in the beginning of the transition and got rid of coaches too quickly and when they do decide to settle on on a coach and back him up with the players he needs it was the wrong choice (for me).
I cannot see a pattern either in the style of coaches they have hired, this suggests they are not chasing any style of play but want results. They have not been helped by the issue with the Glazers either. Seems like Ferguson was holding together a team that should have crumbled long before it did.

Returning to the drawing board and building the team afresh with no pressure of the past may work out for them.

Is that the only reason you don't join UCL? Understandable.
Last year yes. It's from memory. The accusations against Rollbit were many and things were not looking good. I have not followed the updates since then.

As far as I know they resolved everything outstanding. The big one was about some bonus cancellation but they already paid out the guy, both parties were at fault but the guy cancelled his bonus without wagering over and got his deposit plus winnings back so I guess he is at least in profit.

Sancho is decent, I feel that 'good' is overstretching it a bit. Not sure why they are taking him to be honest, his salary is quite high and he won't be a starter there.
Even if he will be, he's not drastically better from 10 players that they already have that can play there.

I'd say this is a good move from United, one of the rare ones recently.

The only thing going for him is that he's a home-grown player, so he goes into the quota.

TBF I think United recent transfers are good, just not really working out. And moving off Sancho and others gradually makes them lose less and less. I read they posted 100m loss, but it's actually a big improvement. Only ManCity Arsenal and Liverpool are making profit now but if you remove transfer profit, as in you only take actual income minus salaries I believe I read only ManCity and Liverpool made green. Take away Champions League and I think only Spurs make money lol.

Sancho is a good player, he’s not the only player with a lot of talent going to United for a big fee and big wages to fail. I think Man Utd are cursed since Ferguson left, long may it continue.

Sancho could do well at Chelsea, he was good at Dortmund on loan. Chelsea need to stop signing players though and coach the players they have. So many good players at Chelsea but the constant manager sacking and new signings flooding in does not help settle a team.

But I'm afraid no single transfer from the blue side to the Red side has worked out ever. ( He's going to mention Kai Havertz)
Petr Cech was a good deal, David Luiz was the worst of all for me.

Havertz has the third most goals and assists in the Premier league since the start of the year, but I agree that the transfer has not worked out yet, he can still get so much better  Grin

Yeah Petr Cech was good but can't be compared to the ones who crossed over the to blue side in terms of individual brilliance and trophies.

First time in a million years we're having someone from the red side of Manchester cross over to the blue side of London - really think Sancho would come good for us what do you think?

Arteta worked with him at Manchester city, he'll know how to best use him at Arsenal, maybe he's the missing piece to get him the title who knows but all I can say about sterling is, Arteta can definitely get some good games out of him but that won't last, it never does. Highest 1/2 good season but he won't be consistent. I know what we suffered with him at Chelsea. Holds the ball too much and kills attacks. I hope he impove though so we can get rid of him finally.

Tell me, gentlemen, but am I disrespectful to think that Brentford could look for a point this weekend? No more Toney to bag them the goals, but they might get something out of Fabio, I've got Flekken in goal, and Mbeumo is quietly restoring his form. City do face Inter four days later, could they also field a weakened side?

Yeah, I was agreeing with you. I did not watch him much in Chelsea but I did with City and despite his numbers at his prime he was very wasteful in front of goal and down the bar-line when it is necessary to whip in a cross.

That drill video must have been for his confidence, the introduction video too. The manner in which he moved to Arsenal will undoubtedly have an impact on his moral, so the club and fans need to show him as much love as is possible.

I also hope he hits it over there so we can finally get him off the hook and get a good sum from you guys. We have enough wenger so you probably need him more than we do. But I'm afraid no single transfer from the blue side to the Red side has worked out ever. ( He's going to mention Kai Havertz)

He's our player, and you don't watch him as often as I do. Nobody dislikes him; he can be very good at times, but the selfish part of his game is the main reason Pep left him off his team despite scoring a lot of goals...

Follow the updates first Mami before taking decisions - last year is a long long time ago.

He seems to still be the same tricky, sharp and fast winger he was ten years ago still trying to find the most effective way to use those qualities.

Don't be fooled by those 4 minutes of training drills.  Grin

I think Trossard is a better option on the right side, then move Saka to the midfield.
I fondly remember the time Sterling moved to City from Liverpool, the amount of hate piled on him then online and off it was a lot. Liverpool went on the be successful still and so did Sterling, although I still think he is lacking in a part of his game. Looking at the young wingers today, Madueke, Eze and the rest, they look to be maturing with the years and getting more assured in front of goal, I never saw that with Sterling and have never been a fan.

If City were playing away, I would have assumed the same thing, but City at the Etihad are a different breed; Pep would most likely field his best starting lineup, get the results early Smiley, and then sub them off before the 70-mins.

I just want to watch Sancho hattrick against Bounemouth that's all....

International break nearly over thankfully. It has not been good for Arsenal losing Odegard, Califlori and Timber to injury. Rice will also miss the game against Spurs as he’s suspended. Hopefully Arsenal drop points again Wink
The international break turned sour very quickly. We have coped fine without Timber for many months and Califiori is still finding his place, big losses but we can manage, Martin Ødegaard however is a big, big blow and I am reading he could be out for at least 3 weeks, when you check that we lost Vieira and ESR while Merino also picked up an injury we are light in the midfield at the moment. I would not be surprised if Arteta plays Saka or Havertz in the attacking midfield role.

Elsewhere Liverpool and Man City have home games against Nottingham Forest and Brentford respectively. Should be two home wins for the big boys there.
Easy wins all day.

Oh Yes, Arsenal are about to go through what Chelsea and Manchester United went through the majority of last season. I had no idea Timber was an injury prone player, but it's clear now that he has a glass leg. He's a very good player, and I feel bad for him.

Arteta is about to undergo the toughest test of his managing career; let's see how he handles it all. Arteta hasn't done anything for the Academy team; I can't think of any youth players to whom he has given a reasonable amount of playing time in the senior team. Better days ahead  Grin

Surely Man Utd can’t lose 3 out of the first 4 games can they? That’s what they’ll be hoping to avoid as they travel to S’ton. Should be a great weekend of football any way, I’m looking forward to it.

A comfortable win for Manutd here- can't see S'ton doing anything. BTS ofcos.

Yep, Ferguson era was horrible - especially for us LFC fans. I'm sorry that the old fart isn't on the bench now.

At one point during his era, United didn't concede from a penalty at Old Trafford in 10 years. 3 were given in that time and all 3 were missed, but still - 3 given in 190 home games is a statistic that says it all for itself.

Damn, I don't know where to get stats like this, I always try Opta and things but you can't find specific like home away, or for all seasons combined. Which is the best place to get this kind of stats? I would bet on penalty markets for penalty at the big teams home games if I knew this kind of stat. 3 in 190 is like 1 every 3 seasons!

Never ending beef with Rollbit? I thought the matters had been addressed a long time ago, right?
Rollbit has many accusations that can not be ignored.

All casinos have accusations, but I thought Rollbit cleared the ones with proof already? I mean, I love Sportsbet too and they have a new accusation every week, but accusations without proof are easy to make. ALL the casinos I use have accusations actually lol but I always understand both sides of story.

Is that the only reason you don't join UCL? Understandable.

For the same reason I don't always bet in the  international games. The plan was to wait for a better odd then place a bet but England was too quick to score LOL
I got one successful bet this international break out of 2 slips but it was just 2.02 odds.

There are very few matches I have some knowledge about meaning less possible picks, but a 50% return is not much better than what I get on club matches. I think we just enjoy it better when we are following the matches, betting on our favorite teams and rivals and fully involved in the results. With the international matches I check most of the results after the match and see a couple of highlights at best.

Just a few more days to wait for club football and it returns with UCL as a gift.
