Rodri's injury will really hurt City. They have cover for most positions, but Rodri was one of the best players in the world in the last 2 years.

His influence on the team is massive and it will be interesting to see how they react tactically to it.
Arsenal fans will like this, I have a feeling this evens out the title challenge a bit.

Rodri could miss rest of the season for Man City after ACL injury against Arsenal, this can be a big blow.
Watch out for next rounds guys, many Premier League clubs are playing EFL Carabao cup this midweek and Man United is playing in Europa League with Twente.
I expect many substitutions and reserves playing more minutes in cup matches.

Haaland is a 95/100 player. But the missing 5/100 is the qualities I want in my footballers, who are probably 90/100 Smiley Please don't think I'm cherry picking Smiley
I totally understand you, which is why in my last message, though not to you, I added it is a thing of preference and everyone has an opinion on it. I am personally not really wowed by the stats themselves, but his consistency in front of goal, how he drifts into space, how clinical he is when through on goal and look to have made up his mind long before the chance presents itself. It is the journey to those stats that I admire. He absolutely does not have to be everyone's cup of tea.

Even a goalkeeper can be great at many things, sweeper, distribution, leadership, teamwork, morale, discipline, that makes the team better and makes the fans enjoy etc.
Haaland is a good header, can finish with both feet, is fast and explosive, wins aerial battles, opens up space for his teamates by making runs. I do not see anything he can add to better his game, he is also disciplined, has teamwork and builds morale. He does not need to have quick feet and exciting skills, that does not take him closer to scoring a goal. It is impressive to be so good at goal scoring that people start to find him boring.

Again I'm not trashing Haaland, he is the best goalscorer in the world. And yes, you win games by scoring goals.

But scoring goals is not the only important thing to win leagues and titles consistently, while building a sustainable club that keeps having fans and people in love with them. I was offering my opinion, and why I am not AMAZED by him (I was never amazed by goal stats, otherwise this forum would have been talking about Shearer for years and years). This is not me shitting on him at all.

He's a great great guy, crazy striker of goals but he is not ever someone I would put in my team. That's all I say about him, and my explanation why, no need to feel bad about it, it's fine Smiley

Anyway, all the things I mentioned earlier has nothing to do with quick feet and exciting skills and self-discipline Smiley Leadership, discipline, morale is for the squad. Did you see what happened near the end yesterday for example? His team just equalized. Maybe you got one chance to win, but time is already over, what happens? He can run to center circle and force Arsenal to panic but what he did he threw the ball at Arsenal player's face (I couldn't see who). But that's not all. From kickoff, he ran right for the ball, knowing he would never get it, but that's fine, it's great except he just barged into 2 players needlessly, caused a scene and needed the whole team to intervene and calm him down, and Pep got a card.
I'm actually very shocked Haaland didn't get a card. Even in Manchester City news they said on a bad day it would be a red card. This is what I'm talking about Smiley

Only a few seconds and Stones separated you from correct prediction Wink
Ipswich also snatched a correct result for me with their last minute. Those 4 points would have given me some breathing space, but I have had points handed to mw in the dying minutes of a game, so no complaints in that department. I rue the 2 points Arsenal dropped more than the 3 they cost me  Cry

He's getting the job done no doubt but there's no excitement in his games and that's why people find him boring. But boring works for him as he said, he wants to touch the ball 5 times and score 5 goals. (That mentality says it all).
Yeah, he has Savinho and Doku on the wing to try and be skillful he just needs to do his job. It is a thing of preference, everyone has a style of player they like.
Congratulations on your monster round and the yellow cap.

He does not need to have quick feet and exciting skills, that does not take him closer to scoring a goal. It is impressive to be so good at goal scoring that people start to find him boring.

He's a modern day striker, it was back then that strikers needed to be like R9, strikers of today just need to be like CR7 and they're good to go. It won't be bad if Haaland can work on his dribbling though so he can entertain us some times and not only giving us the stats.

Can haaland be depended on to carry the whole team? Sometimes, nothing is working and the team needed a player to take the ball and go all the way to get the team the goal, you can't count on haaland to do that. No long rang goals only close range.

He's getting the job done no doubt but there's no excitement in his games and that's why people find him boring. But boring works for him as he said, he wants to touch the ball 5 times and score 5 goals. (That mentality says it all).

Congratulations to the winner of Round 5 in superbru, this was a massive difference and five exact predictions in this round, but darbit is still holding first place in leaderboard.
Big respect to Arsenal for holding the lead during whole second half with one player less after Trosard got a red card, but I didnt expect to see 4 goals in this match.

On the other hand I don't believe Manchester City lost, this team is more dominant at home even though De Bruyne is reportedly injured they still have a great game.

It looks like Haaland will be closely guarded again. Grin
But Arteta's way in this match I think is unexpected. They know that the absence of KDB in Manchester City's midfield will indirectly make the quality of passes less conducive to Manchester City because we must be aware that until now the key to Manchester City's attacking pattern lies in the tactical performance of KDB as a playmaker and when he is absent then Rodri is the only player they have to notice from the start.

Rodri was immediately targeted by Kai and when the match had only been running for 15 minutes again Rodri had to be tackled with a foul that was actually quite hard from Partey. Although this worked well enough to keep Haaland at bay with the tight guarding and lack of supply from midfield but in my opinion this was too much.

This is clearly a loss for Manchester City as KDB is still recovering now Rodri is also having problems although it's not yet clear whether he will be fine or forced to pull over. I'm actually a little disappointed with the bets I have but when Arsenal are playing with 10 players and the condition of Manchester City who are behind who are certainly still eager to pursue a goal deficit then we can see the game of one side only active because Arsenal play passively and extra time is good luck for 1 point City.

Well well well. The terrible premier league officiating strikes again and the usual targets are on the receiving end of it. First of all, the first half should have already been over and you give a second yellow for that? Atrocious display.

Whatever the scoreline after 90 minutes the boys have shown they are here to win the title. Come on goonerz.

I'm a rival fan I guess but I watch him play and I'm just not blown away. By the goals, yes. But by him as a footballer and what he brings to the team, I honestly can't feel excited watching him. I don't think its bias too, I have no team in EPL or Bundesliga, and I loved City players like Dias and even de Bruyne, watching them play amazing, you feel wow.
I think you are cherry-picking his play a bit too much. 100% of what he needs to do is score and he does that brilliantly, he can also play with his back to goal and link up play decently.

Even a goalkeeper can be great at many things, sweeper, distribution, leadership, teamwork, morale, discipline, that makes the team better and makes the fans enjoy etc.

Farewell LEO: o_e_l_e_o
You are going to have a nice dinner this evening?

Indeed.  Believe it or not, I was logged in to check if I wanted to place a bet on ManU, and check the odds for their match.  I saw the odds for AV, and I just figured there's no way the match would end with them getting shut out by the Wolves at Villa Park.  I decided I trust Aston Villa pull it off against the Wolves more than I do ManU to pull it off against Crystal Palace, lol.  Good call, no?
It was a prefect call, with Utd you were going to lose the bet. They are always an unpredictable team to me, chasing Utd I remember most of my outcomes are a loss. Sometimes big and sometimes small that's the difference.

I was checking the scores after seeing your post yesterday and saw PSG were one goal behind. Immediately I decided to for PSG and deposited 3 mbtc. But then thought lets divide and take less risk. I am glad that I did or I was going to lose the 3 mbtc straightway. A week ago I lost a total of 7 mbtc in two bets just like that and until yesterday I was in recovery mood.

I am not really happy with my results in supebru this round, but there are two more matches left to improve my position.
Several rounds in Superbru still have no good results even stuck in the middle of the standings, days when it is still difficult to guess the score in the Premier League. Cheesy

Can Arsenal surprise Man City tomorrow? Smiley
Could be why not?

I dont think so, he doesn't do so well for Norway, and he wasn't as great at his previous clubs before he joined Dortmund, I seriously doubt he will be as great without supply.
He scored 49 goals for Molde and Salzburg all between the ages of 16-19, those are very impressive numbers for that age and the amount of minutes he was getting.
He is one goal away from breaking the all time goal record for Norway at 24 years.

Without a doubt he will be a great player anywhere he goes. No striker can work without supply, but Haaland can adapt to the team he is playing in and take advantage of any sniff at goal he gets. As a rival fan, I admit all of this grudgingly.

With Haaland, I always feel like he's like yes, the most impressive tool in a toolbox, but it is like the sharpest knife, or the shiniest hammer... but you need a good hand with skill to use them. You always feel wow with something more simple yet complex that any dumbo like me can use and look like amazing. Like when the new can opener came out. Or wine bottle opener. I was 'wow'.

Sorry lol I know I am terrible at comparisons but I am not trying to disrespect Haaland. I just would never choose him in my team Smiley He is a great goalscorer. I am not sure I can say he is great at anything else in football. Even a goalkeeper can be great at many things, sweeper, distribution, leadership, teamwork, morale, discipline, that makes the team better and makes the fans enjoy etc.

I have not locked in my answer yet, so I cannot see the majority decision, but with City playing at home and in the form they are in, despite the slip-up against Inter, they will be the overwhelming favorites. But I have never not picked Arsenal to win a match in the pool and I am not starting now.

Ipswich town snatched a point from me in the dying minutes, would have made for a better week.

Aston Villa showed real character today with win in last few minutes, and I wanted to place live bet on them when it was 0:1 and 1:1 but Sportsbet website had problems and maintenance in that time.

The early match results are in, it's been a decent week of predictions for me.  Stressing the for me!

But this is what really perked me up; AV down one to nil at the half, and I knew they weren't going let their home crowd down with that result.

Sweet, sweet win. I was too late to put any bets on (it would have lost as it involved Villa, Liverpool and Palace wins) but the 3-1 gave me an exact score on Superbru, and a lovely Watkins goal (which makes me happy regardless).

Liverpool getting a nice win, with no injuries, clean sheet without Alisson, it's all good for me. Just was caught unprepared seeing Jota not even lined up and Nunez starting! That we still won, amazing. And to think Diaz was on my FPL team for most of last season haha.
