I'm still quietly confident that Liverpool are favorites due to the 4pt gap, however Man City won't slip up much, and will add pressure right up until the end of the season. This could go right down to the last game of the season. I don't know the fixtures of Liverpool, and Man City yet, but if they only have 1 away game against the top 6 then that looks very promising indeed.

Next 5 fixtures - Liverpool

12/01/19 - Brighton (A)
19/01/19 - C Palace (H)
30/01/19 - Leicester (H)
04/02/19 - West Ham (A)
09/02/19 - B’mouth (H)

Next 5 fixtures - Man City

14/01/19 - Wolves (H)
20/01/19 - Huddersfield (A)
29/01/19 - Newcastle (A)
03/02/19 - Arsenal (H)
10/02/19 - Chelsea (H)

Any comments on the Spurs vs Manchester United game? I'm thinking of going for a Spurs win on our pool, but a lot of people seem to think that this new Man Utd can actually beat Tottenham...hmm.

I’ve gone for a narrow Spurs win, wouldn’t surprise me if it was a draw though.

LFC you are the most consistent performer, what is your secret?

And Liverpool lost no! But don't worry. They have only 1 away game at Big 6 left, and 2 more at home. They will not easily lose again, and only Chelsea has the style suitable to beat them.

I don’t know buddy, I just go with what I think. There’s a long, long way to go though. 2 or 3 bad weeks & you can be totally out of it but 2 or 3 great weeks & you can go top. It’s still so close.

I was upset after the Man City loss but we just have to react & beat Brighton today. Going out of the FA Cup is actually good, one game a week now for a while. Full effort into the PL now until the CL comes back in Feb.
Man City & Spurs are both still in the FA Cup & EFL Cup, more games & distractions for them.

Oh my god guys. I leave for a break, miss 3 weeks of games thanks to packed Christmas schedule of EPL, so had to put in random picks in a hurry and oh wow I lose so much ground over those 3 weeks. Well done though to all of you top 3 guys! At least I only have 10 points to catch up, and I think I have done that before. LFC you are the most consistent performer, what is your secret?

Looks that I choose to watch best match tonight between Bournemouth and Watford which ended 3:3. In first half we saw 6 goals combined. Second half was less exciting, but I lost count how many saves Ben Foster made tonight.
Very big game tonight between City and Liverpool on Thursday and I have no idea what score to predict. Liverpool now in great shape, but City will play at home. And it will be big pressure under City players because they don't have right to loose. If Liverpool will win, they will have safe 10pts advantage and less than half season to go.

Although, we are only half way into the league I genuinely feel that if Liverpool can come away with 3 points at the Eithad tomorrow then they should be comfortable at the top, and go on to win the league.
A win for Pool tomorrow will give them a 9 pts gap with Spurs, and 10 pts with City, that should give them plenty of room to slip up, have a few bad results and still be at the top of the league while they find their good form again. I honestly think this will be their year.

Man, I'm so hyped for that game, i'm expecting some kind of crazy scoreline like 4-3 or 5-4  Grin

Betting on United to win the CL?

Bruh....Just give the money to me, it’s the same result either way - You losing money Wink

Haha. Stranger things have happened, and this new United squad have played some very nice football in their last 3 games. I'm keen to see this new United being tested against a top team - they have Spurs on the 13th, then another run of mid- to lower-table teams until Liverpool on 22nd February.

I'm kind of nervous for them as if they lose then the media, and other fans will be calling Liverpool bottlers once again, and I don't know how that would affect the team mentally.

If the media or fans do say that, then they are idiots in my opinion. Liverpool are unbeaten this season so far. Saying they are bottling it after 1 loss in 21 games is ridiculous. Even with their impressive 100 points last season, City still lost 2 games.

They have seemed professional up to this point, and have just been grinding results out even when they're not at their best. I'm slightly optimistic for Liverpool.

^  Yup.  I'm betting some for United to win the CL at either Fairlay or Cloudbet (Nitrogen's outright CL isn't available anymore Sad).  You guys have any bad experiences with either of them?

Using Fairlay myself only recently, their markets are only good for those kinds of single bets with long odds. Parlays are not possible and they don't have the best rates for low odd games but if you're backing the underdog like Man Utd in CL, you can even make your own offer and see if anyone would like to take it.

I disagree, at the minimum they usually match Pinnacle/BitcoinRush lines. No parlays and a horrible live betting setup are really the only downsides imo.

I'd go for Cloudbet, they're okay as long as you don't bet very high stakes and win a lot. They're offering @ 44 on ManU at the moment which beats Fairlay's @ 30.695 (seems to be different odds providers).

Sweet. Been having better luck lately betting than predicting. Usually the other way around, but I guess I don't mind winning cash in hand. Vardy popped up for the sole goal of the opener and Leicester was well worth the 4/1 odds. Parlayed with Arsenal and Spurs... Arsenal already 4-1 up now and if Spurs fumble, I probably deserve it haha.

Cloudbet's sponsoring part of the prize money for this pool and if hilarious thinks they're OK, they're fine by me. Just haven't used them because have better odds/lower margins at my bookies.

I take a quick glance at the scores and see I scored second highest this week with 11 points. "Great", I think. "Be able to close the gap on first place a little." Until I see LFC_Bitcoin is tied with me for 11 points. Can you stop being so consistently good please. Grin

United look like a different team under Solskjaer. If you haven't seen it yet, do yourself a favor and watch the lead up to United's first goal (https://streamable.com/viu1o). Rashford's play was absolutely disgusting. You've got to wonder how Mourinho screwed things up so badly. United might get a top 4 finish yet.

And now that we can secure 2 or 3 goal cushions, we know how to sit back and keep ball for the rest of the game... without being too much of a dull spectacle either.

Am I happy? Never been happier for the longest time. I was still afraid to close my eyes with Suarez and Co, but right now? Even with the threat of false dawn I'm ready to believe.

Up next, Etihad. Can't wait.
Yeah, I had doubts too. Liverpool seemed to be struggling for a few games, and were just grinding out results. Their front 3 didn't seem to be clicking either. Now though? Well, they seem to be firing on all cylinders, and they have got stability at the back which we haven't seen since the Hypia days. It isn't just Van Djik either, Robertson is looking the real deal. He's been good ever since his Hull days, but ever since he's put on a Liverpool shirt he has been unreal. Honestly, don't think I've seen him have a bad game.

Damn, I wasn't that far off with the prediction of 4-1, but honestly going into half time I was expecting a lot more. Seems Liverpool did what they needed too though, and just controlled the game from then on out.

Klopp took even me by surprise by doing this the whole season. I thought, mistakenly, that we were rusty or just unable to come unstuck but as it turns out, as LFC pointed out several weeks ago, this was just him balancing out the rest of the squad in preparation for the entire season so we don't burn out, but more so that we peak at the right moment.

^  This man was spotted celebrating the Wolves' win with abnormally more enthusiasm than the Wolves or the Wolves manager...

This man seen as he takes his men 9 points clear after hammering Arsenal 5-1.

What a comeback from Wolves, with 3 goals in the last 20 minutes to win 3-1 against Spurs. Spurs looked tired during the second half, with no one to come on from the bench. When you already have Kane, Son and Alli playing, and you need a fresh striker, they brought on Moura, but the rest of their bench is just weak. There zero-transfer transfer window seems to be catching up to them. Going to worse when Son leaves for Asian for a month.

Pretty hilarious that just as people start talking about Spurs having a shot at the title, they go and Spurs it up in classic Spurs fashion and lose 3-1 to 10th place. No one predicted a Wolves win, so zero points across the board for our league in that game.

The stoppage time Cardiff goal means zero points for everyone for that game too, and the stoppage time Fulham goal will really be pissing off hilarious who had put in a 0-0 draw.

I've missed putting in my predictions over the Christmas period, but I had no chance anyway! So, consider it a donation to the pot haha. I'm going with a 4-1 victory to Liverpool today I think Liverpool will find the game easy, but with the attack of Arsenal I see them nabbing a goal or maybe even two.
