And Wembley pitch was awful tonight after NFL game.
Yeah, never seen it that bad. Don't know why they bother with American football games. Nobody cares about it over here. With that being said, there were apparently 85,870 people there and Wembley's capacity is 90,000. Maybe people just go because of the novelty of it. I guess it's probably the NFL just trying to promote the sport and garner some interest in it so they can up the fees for the rights to show games over here. I read somewhere that they even lose money putting games on over here and US fans don't like it because the games are always early in the morning.
Has the new stadium been delayed again? I did see that they
opened their shop in the new stadium, even before the opening ceremony. Good to see they've got their priorities straight.
Well they gotta start recouping their money for it
. It's costing them around $1 billion. Not sure how they'll ever earn that money back, especially with how much they spend on players then paying their wages (though no expenditure on new players last season - maybe they've got no money to buy any haha). I think the outside is all done and it's just some things inside like the pitch they're having trouble with. It looks pretty high tech. Apparently the pitch can slide away and there's another one ready to go. The other one is a synthetic grass surface which will be used for future NFL games apparently. At least they won't fuck up the football pitch now.
