Just filled the questionnaire. Overall great and fun experience. The competition questions I didn't like were which players will start, formations, etc. Just felt very static and once the game starts its over. I'd suggest to have more questions for the whole round like total goals, total bookings, which teams will score more goals for the round home/away/draw. More player props as well, although they are not so popular in football, but if you do this for other sports might work.
Also, it will be good to have a small prize for every round top player that will keep the engagement of the users despite not having the chance for 1st place or was already knocked off of the main tournament.

Thank you all for submitting the answers, 16 people have replied already.
We'll keep the form open until tomorrow and then we'll show you the results.

For those that still did not submit and want to, here's the link once again.

Filled survey, left 4 in question about how well it was organized. Not because it was something bad, but there is always room for improvement.
Didn't fully understood question about league system with relegations and promotion. Let's say we play in EPL and after season someone drop to Championship? If yes, I doubt that we would get enough users for it and probably many will lose interest if he would have to predict 2nd division games. Or after relegation you would continue in EPL, but you would have to predict together with players who are in 2nd tier?

In the league system all players would have the same questions and they would be either football based (but football in general, so a mix of all leagues, internationals, maybe even transfers and so on) or general sports based (so, some football, some tennis, some basketball, some formula etc). It would be a multi-year project that would have qualifying rounds and then there would be 20 players per league. If you are placed in the 2nd tier, your entry fee would be smaller but also the potential rewards would be smaller - and if you would be placed in top 5 in that league you'd be able to earn promotion to the 1st league, where the rewards are bigger.
It would be p2p for points, so you'd always play only against 1 player in that round - with a win rewarding you with 3 points and a draw with 1 point.

The league would have to be sponsored ofc, but we want to gauge your interest in it before trying to negotiate.

I fill the survey yesterday.

But i think one metric we have open to all its the thread itself. 34 pages so far , nearly 10.000 views, i think this its a really good one for SB and for the "tournament" , and for the organizers. Not so much threads have this ammount in a short period of time.

I received my winnings, and proceed to bet some of it already, thanks again everyone!

I also sent in the questionaire, but didn't give further suggestions as I already did on this thread, and much was discussed, so no need for further repetition.

I didn't really understand league comment, that would be so hard to do and requires people to pay fees every year, for me is fine, I feel problem for others who might not have earnings, but then again, if you don't have money to gamble, it's not for you, so I say GO FOR IT!

Congrats to the bitcointalk world cup champion casperBGD and to the rest of the winners.  Smiley

I also finished answering the survey and mostly gave 4/5 on the first few questions. I got stuck on the last question since pretty much everything was great from start to finish.

Thank you, Cro2 team, and Sportsbet for making this competition happen. Hopefully, this won't be the last since it reminded me of the multimaster vibes we had back when it was still active.  Cheesy

Well done again to the confirmed winners!

I got something out of this too, beyond the small prize I snatched ha!

Filled in the response form but it's not much to really change -- only gave 4/5 on a couple as there's always room for improvement. Can't remember a more interactive format on a static forum, I wanted to also suggest a league/seeding aspect but you guys already thought about it -- I'm all in for that sort of thing.

Retention will be awesome after that, and also, we do need more active gamblers willing to put in more.

cryptofrka you mentioned a badge somewhere before, are we thinking blockchain-based?

'Bitcoins are like gold bars with wings' - T.W.
Fellas, it is time to make it official! We have our Sportsbet's Bitcointalk 2022 World Champion and it's casperBGD!

Harkorede came in 2nd, slaman29 in 3rd place and Kanapka in 4th.

It was really exciting, the final was decided only after the penalty kicks and the goalkeeper save percentages were calculated.

We will send the payments soon, definitely today.

As I've said multiple times already, we have prepared some questions for you so you can provide feedback. We left BTT names and last 2 questions as optional but we'd love to receive your feedback on them as well, and also with your names and not anonymously.
We'd love to do this at some point in the future again and based on your answers here we'll know how to organize it if it comes to that.

The questionnaire is here, so please go through it when you have a few minutes of your time.

Thanks again to Sportsbet for sponsoring the competition and listening to our feedback, they are a pleasure to work with.

Congratulations to the winners of prizes of this competition, really good one.
Another time when CasperBDG its filling his pocket with us and SB money? Tongue Congratulations man. You are really one of a kind.

From my side being argentinian, yesterday i almost died, i was this Maradona from the 78 minute.

Argentina deserves the win (i know in football merits doesnt exist) but again like all the other matches in this WC , the other team doesnt shoot to our goal, and the first goal was a mistake/stupidity by Otamendi , you cant make that penalty it was an easy play to defend, also so much luck in Mbappe shoot if you see Martinez hand took entirely but in someway the ball goes in.

The first Half was a masterclass.
Di Maria what can i say... its a man made for finals. And this prove if he play the Brasil 2014 final surely we were champions in that time, but he always was injured.

thanks to all
it was a great competition, as Harkorede said, our final was tough till the end, he was up until Mbappe scored, but eventually France (Mbappe) make final more interesting, and scored goals for overtime and penalties

regarding FPL, Mac Allister earned perma spot in my team, Brighton to CL spot, finally EPL on Superbru as next matches

hopefully, we will have more of these competitions in the future

Thank you to everyone too, Trofo and cryptofrka for putting the time and effort into this and of course Sportsbet and Steve for making it special with prizes. I'm very happy to be the "Croatia" of this quiz, honestly didn't expect to get far but it seems some risks paid off except in semifinal, Yassine and Giroud really let me down at the wrong times Smiley

FPL, hmm, I don't know Wink

Congratulations to @casperBGD for winning competition! I won't lie, I backed @Harkorede in the final. His win would mean that I got eliminated in Round of 16 by future champions Cheesy
Also, big thanks to @Trofo and @cryptofrka fro making this competition and all these difficult and creative question. And offcourse Sportsbet for generous support.
I think everyone will agree with me - first attempt didn't failed and I'm waiting for future competitions.

I wouldn't believe the world cup final stage between two giant countries like France and Argentina would play above 3 goals, as I know that the probability of such an outcome in this stage would be very narrow. I know gamblers with such a mindset will be so few. same with the quarter-final stage between Morocco and Croatia (two defensive sides) whose under-two goals odd prediction was very small, this means that the expected result was to be 0:0, 0:1, 1:0, highest 1:1 followed by PK, but the whole thing turns out to be 2:1. Indeed, football is so difficult to predict. for one to graduate from the school of football one needs to be under relentless scrutiny.
I taught that the match will end within 2:0 as Argentina early score goal, and the early goal demoralize the France activeness, which i have never believed that at 90 minutes mbappe will score two goals under five (5) minutes, and i never believe that France would have equalize this match to extend of scoring when Argentina score for the extra time, so the match was terrible and it ended 3:3, and without penalty or the extra time finished France would have defeated Argentina.

Thriller in Manilla!

That was breathtaking and even old folks here who have witnessed nothing less than 15-18 world cups agrees that this is most dramatic and thrilling final, what a brilliant show, I would have loved to say it signals the end of an era, and gave birth to new one, but then Mbappe at age 23 is already living the life long dream that even legends of the sports couldn't afford to, but should this be the last dance for Messi with Argentina, I'd say, Yes! He's finally done it all, he should step down and let the next generation take charge, what a career he's had, and to end it with the most coveted prize that eluded him once before, and more so doing it so deservingly is just pure class.

Upon seeing Argentina making numerous attempts easy attempt on goal and giving Lloris so many saves opportunities, I could only just hope Argentina would secure the clean sheet because to win the first position, because as at the 75th minute of the game, France still doesn't have an attempt on goal, so I already knew what the chances were for me, It was either a clean sheet or burst for me.

This is however the best competition I've participated in here, it was thrilling from MD1 to MD2 and there was never an easy choice to those questions, Big congratulations to CasperBGD and every other winners as well, it was such a pleasure competing with you guys.

@Trofo and Cryptofrka, big ups to you guys for the wonderful experience and thanks to the entire Sportsbet.io team!

See you guys around, I've got an FPL team to manage ! Cheesy, too bad I really didn't get to understand how exactly the FIFA fantasy works especially with substitutions and transfers until around MD3-MD4, trying different things just to understand how it literally works, I however managed to finish 12th position, so I think I still did pretty well given my circumstances, but I love the fact the it's one of the forum regulars here that won the 1st position, Congratulations @morvillz7z!

Big congrats to CasperBGD, you played one hell of a competition and big thanks to all of you guys participating. It was a real pleasure to organize competition like this even though it got quite challenging sometimes in the early rounds.

I have collected all your BTC addresses in the meantime and you have until tomorrow to double check them and yell if something is not as it should be Smiley You can find them in the last sheet of official tournament spreadsheet. Rewards will go out tomorrow afternoon, same time as our Livecasino campaign and since there is quite a few of you in it, you now know when you are getting the money.

This is without a doubt the best competition on the forum ever; thank you to the cro2 team and sportsbet for putting something so big together in such a short period of time, and congratulations to CasperBGD on winning the championship. It was well worth my time, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

This is by far the best World Cup and the best World Cup final in history. 6 goals rush and the golden boot decider. My liver was about to explode when Argentina nearly blew a 2-0 lead in a game in which the French team was nowhere to be found. I'm not sure what Deschamps told his players in the second half, but it sure brought out the beats in them, and the early sub worked perfectly. Mbappe had a fantastic game, just when we thought he was having the worst game of his career after a disastrous first 45 minutes. Argentina fully deserved this one, they worked hard for it.
