Should we raise a motion to vote on using the current unpaid dividends to add to the 50% retained BTC for another Cointerra purchase once we are 100% sure they are on track to deliver as promised?

I'm still "just" a COG.F2 owner, but if this gets passed, I'll have to say: "Thanks and that's the way to go. You showed some great team spirit guys!"

I think this would be a solid choice, I'll raise a motion to do it via email, because many still have not signed up on Havelock.

Still missing the PT dividends...

And of course you forgot the PT shares completely.

I have not "forgotten" about the PT. I am taclking one thing at a time and the PT will be taken care of soon. Most likely we will just give all PT holders their dividends then convert the shares to Havelock shares.

Cheers,
Garrett

Great idea, the profit come from the increase in share value on the exchange. The share value come from the mining hardware.

It also means that Garrett doesn't have spend a lot of time to do manual div payments, just proper share distribution.  The divs will be dust for most small holders but combined at the currently rising price, could buy a significant amount of hardware.

I guess it's worth mentioning that since Garr is the person who created and run PT, he is personally contractually liable for its execution. I'll quote it here for posterity:

Quote
Issuer: Garr255 <[email protected]>

I am the current operator of COGNITIVE on BTC-TC, so this passthrough should be run as smoothly as Cognitive itself.

Each share has the right to 95% of the dividends paid by COGNITIVE listed on BTC-TC (https://btct.co/security/COGNITIVE). Each COGNITIVE-PT is backed by one share of COGNITIVE. The dividend will be paid within 48 hours of the payment from COGNITIVE. The issuer has the right to issue more shares according to passthrough demand. These shares have no voting rights.

I have created this passthrough to Cognitive on BTC-TC in order to enable investments via litecoin!
Shares will be sold here at fair (yes, I am using a subjective word) prices according to current asks on BTC-TC and the BTC-E exchange rate between BTC and LTC. If there are sufficient bids for this asset, more shares will be issued and sold.

This is solely a pass through to COGNITIVE on BTC-TC. Each share is backed by one share of COGNITIVE and pays 95% of the dividend on BTC-TC.

All issuers got public addresses of people who hold securities, so there are no valid excuses for not paying dividends.

While contract doesn't describe what happens in case of exchange closure, the phrase "Each share is backed by one share of COGNITIVE" implies that PT shares will be converted into normal shares.

Also, it's worth noting that it can be re-listed on litecoininvest.com. (Although, I, personally, would prefer conversion into shares on havelock.)

I haven't been able to track any doubts that Cointerra will not deliver in January.  What's the consensus?

I spoke with Ravi, CoinTerra CEO today and he has confirmed that our order is on time and will be delivered in January.

at long last, we can wank about the future value of COG again =)

Most of my past maths haven't really changed, but the rate of network increase has slightly leveled off over the last week or two.  I definitely don't think cog will be 2-4BTC like AsicMiner was at any time (unless we actually make the 1PH/s thing happen before anyone else, which is possible and AWESOME but I wouldn't bet on it).

That said, I think a really reasonable valuation could be 1BTC per share if we get our 28TH/s before the end of January and hear some really solid details on the next order as well (confidence we will be in the 200+ TH/s range, for example).  This is also contingent on cointerra not flooding the market TOO too much (just giving it all to us =). Obviously, the harder it is for the "average joe" to get CT equipment, the more valuable Garr's carefully constructed bulk pricing deals are =)

EDIT:  and in this context, when I say "leveled off" I mean "went from insanely exponential to just a little exponential".

I believe your estimations are pretty accurate here; the goal is to always be exponentially increasing hashrate and therefore share value Smiley

I wish Havelock made an ANN or something but nice to see a new old asset on the exchange

I really pushed them to have COG up quickly so that explains the lack of an update. Once everyone creates their accounts we should see some volume and hopefully and increase back up above the BTC0.5 IPO in March 2012 when BTC was sub $20 Smiley

Cheers,
Garrett

We're live! The order books are filling up quite quickly Smiley

Dividends will not go out until 90% of the shares are transferred to the appropriate accounts, because Havelock does not have a way to retain dividends until the shares are claimed yet. I will update as soon as this happens!

Cheers!

At least give the guys 2 weeks or so to sign up. Unless you are going to give the other guys by hand.

2 weeks is fair. Anything sooner is not really cool. Unless you will still get that to them somehow.

Yep I am going to have to do dividends by hand or hold dividends until people make accounts. I want to avoid this, so we will wait until 90% of shares are claimed on the exchange before issuing the first dividend.
