Do KNC offer any kind of warranty? I haven't been able to find anything on their website. Has anyone asked what they will do if one of their miners develops a fault?

Let Me Google That For You.

Thanks. That is more a disclaimer than a consumer warranty.

If your miner develops a fault, I don't see anything about cost of repairs, who pays to return it to their factory, how long repairs might take etc?

If a board on the machine goes kaput after a week and mining is down by a quarter of capacity, I'd like to know whether they will take one month to fix etc. Which might mean it's more cost effective to keep it and keep mining.

LOL, just went to update worker and pool settings on the KNC site and hit save and it redirected to paypal 'click continue if you would like to pay for your order'. WTF, it happened twice, I have a couple of unpaid ordersas well.

Not implying scam or any other nefarious idea, it was just a surprise to see it happen.

Just FYI, I emailed KNC almost a week ago asking what September delivery means if it's early, mid, or late. Still no reply. My guess is they used September delivery which might very well be true to lure in people, but if that's the end of September that's pretty much October. This means for them to deliver early September they need to get finished products by Friday the latest for them to test and ship units.

Without them showing anything working, how are they supposed to accomplish this in 2 weeks time? So again bbxx has very valid concerns. Not that they will scam people, but they might be delayed. Or they intentionally misled people with the September date, since most people will think beginning of September. And with no working demo unit, and no word from KNC themselves, this might very well be the case.

Yes, your guess is speculation. And no, most people won't think the beginning of September.

I love dumbass sarcastic fail remarks

I think the case remains open no longer.

That's strange that you're saying they didn't reply. I've emailed them 8 times and they always reply within 24 hours. I asked them questions about September/October shipping at one point and this is what they said. Maybe it will clarify for you:

Me: I can expect the Jupiter to arrive at my home in September of 2013, as your website states, is that correct?

KnC: New paid orders are expected to be shipped in October as stated on the web page. Be aware that your queue placement is based on payment date, not order date. Every order that has been paid for will ship as soon as it is produced. We do not batch ship our products.

Me: Thanks for the response. I ordered a Jupiter. The site says September: https://www.kncminer.com/products/jupiter Just want to clarify that shipment of Jupiters does indeed begin in September.

KnC: That is correct, first shipments are expected to ship in September. With the current queue new orders are estimated to ship in October.

KnC: Your order 4092 is now paid. The expected shipping for orders paid this week [It was the week of 22 July] is October.

Also, Sam from KnC stated (and Marcus confirmed) in the interview that Bitcoinorama conducted that they will likely be able to produce hundreds of units per day (read near the bottom of that post).

If I was the Ceo of KNC , I probably wouldnt pay anyone to respond  in Forums either , especially if I already had 4000 per orders . I think this is a calculated choice by their management , sure their listening . Sometimes saying to much can bite you harder . Plus they arent under any obligation to do so . There was never any such promise.

So as a new investor in this technology myself , I made a calculated business decision . We will just have to wait and see . Best advice I can give is use a master card if purchaseing, it gives you 120 days to file a complaint and as long as that country is in the group, you should  have monies back in  24 hours .

The balance of risk vrs reward is an individual choice ...........I dont know of any successfull business man  that hasnt lost up to $20,000  in a venture ........its never nice .......but it does make you battle hardened .........A real key is never risk all your monies in one deal.

Good hunting

Pete

It's only 120 days in specific countries, don't give out advice for the rest of the world.

ANXIETY!

I understand that completely. I know how lack of precise information to plan the future ahead cause anxiety. I realized that many questions like the one you expect an answer had been completely buried by an avalanche of shill's words and off-the-topic subjects. The tipping point is the "call/message them otherwise you are an ignorant".

Personally, I vouch for you and other genuine inquirers to receive a professional answer from KnC. However I feel that will not happen soon...

everything bbx said is a reputable concern. You dismissing him like fanboys sounds like another to be BFL. Yes we know they have partnered with OrSOC blah blah. End of the day he is right it's 2 weeks left until September. There is no video of a working unit or anything, besides we are on track and ahead of schedule.

If you ahead of schedule when do you expect to deliver in September? Most likely mid or end, but all they have done up to this point is give vague updates about development and progress.

And I'll ask you point blank, exactly how many units do you have ordered?  If none, then just STFU, this doesn't concern you.  All you are trying to do is cause trouble.

I love how this thread turned into a Miss Sweden contest.

Still no news about power supply, though.
Yep, I'm anxiously waiting on that too.

Is the Sept. delivery change to Oct. for early buyers?

If you pre-ordered, it's supposed to be September delivery.  If you order now, it's supposed to be some time in October.

September yes. But better expect 25. of september and not 10. of september imo.
And I'm on vacation for most of September.  It would be nice to know when this thing is going to arrive, I gotta be here.  ANXIETY!

Potential customer come to the thread with legit questions and what follows is bashing and off-topic posts a la BFL. Few participants here are completely deluded, desperate trying to hide the facts with a torrent of unrelated words and photos.

This is a behaviour quite usual in people participating in fraudulent pyramid schemes, where the people near at the top try every trick in the book to inspire a false sense of confidence. As they profit rely on keep the true nature of the scheme away from the inquiring mouths, they bash and disrupt any question which could reveal what the scheme is really about.

I hope, for the sake of the potential customers and investors, that KnC is really going to deliver all their orders as promised. However, their lack of a PR person working in this forum shows that something is not right on track. No business can be completely successful and trustworthiness without the good work of PR person.

You ARE aware that we bought from KnC with no promise of reward for attracting customers?
That is how pyramid schemes work..enticing new members with rewards based on new money they bring in.
Granted, KnC very receently offered a reward via the new referal scheme, which is pretty standard 10% for a pretty large amount of referals...but few will manage to make anything from it.

I hope that one day a company you describe as "fraudulent" with absolutely no proof drags your arse to court and teaches you how bad an idea that is.
Innocent until proven guilty will be on their side there, quite rightly.
