Nah, it's alright. I don't see any wrong with it, so what if new records are made among or against the lower ranking teams? Pratibha kisi ki mohtaj nahi hoti and why should big teams have all the fun?
The more they get to play T20is the better and IMO ICC did an alright job by handing out the t-20 status to everyone. After all, let's be clear, none of them will get a test status so at least give them something to keep em engaged.
Maybe you are right into your all point but still
we need to have some check and balance for the improvement of quality in the game because matches like these surely have nothing to improvement in the Gambia or Zimbabwe quality both are currently at the crap level.
ICC had no interest in development so they are not working on this as well but good thing happening we have increased numbers in Africa which is good sign Dark Continent is now having good work in cricket after making their mark in soccer sadly lack of funds serious issue for many countries with ICC giving funds to few countries which are also no doing anything for improvement of quality like Zimbabwe.
Yes, that should be the main concern, and ICC must look for solutions. This can happen if they are targeting long-term goals, but for this to happen, they need to invest consistently in associates countries. It can happen if the ICC can divert some percentage of funds from test playing nations to associate but again ICC need some spine for such action.
On another note, if fans want 20-24 t-20 teams wc so they should get ready for such lopsided matches. It's not ideal but it's part of the solution in the long term and not a problem.
