Maybe I would say that he is one of the very lucky people/gamblers because the success in achieving a winning amount of $ 5 million is a very large amount, honestly I believe that only a few people can be that lucky in gambling, and if for example I were in that person's position of course I would most likely cash out all the money, but if for example at the same time I still want to order tickets then I will do it but will not bet with a large amount, maybe 0.5% of the amount of winnings I get, because I know that in any case I can't put hope to get a larger amount of winnings considering that most of the winnings depend on your luck, meaning even if for example you continue the game it doesn't mean you will win again, there is no connection between the previous results and the next results, and yes congratulations to that person. It is a good future planning, of course it will be good for us to invest after getting a jackpot in gambling. After all, if you keep buying tickets in the hope of getting the jackpot again, then I'm sure you will end up in total failure. With such a post, it might be a clue and or learning too, because to get big luck for the umpteenth time in gambling, it seems difficult to happen. It's different if for example we only gamble for fun, then even though we have won big, of course the main thing is to invest, and gambling is just a diversion for free time.

If you are buying a lottery ticket, then, don't expect that you will win. You are just hoping here to hit the jackpot and there's no assurance whatever in getting that pot. Just make it as optional if you have extra funds. Otherwise, don't put yourself in a compromise because you are expecting something out of it.

A big congratulations to him. The fear of a wise rich man is never to go broke again. And the only way out is to invest in something tangible that will surely guarantee returns either on a short or long term goal. I am glad this isn't the story where he decides to gamble everything away maybe with the expectations of winning more.

In 2022 a friend of mine. A very close friend won something huge from a casino club and today he took has eradicated poverty from his history. I wish most gamblers will understand this tricks and stay away from greedy expectations. The biggest advice has been stake an amount you can afford to lose. If it's your lucky day sometimes the amount staked might not just matter and everything turns out in heavy figures

I'm copying this interesting story as it is:
A Calgary man just won $5M in the Oct. 9 Lotto 6/49 Classic draw— three years after bagging $1M in 2021. After buying a house and car last time, he’s now planning to invest in real estate, stocks, and bonds. He’s also eyeing a trip overseas to visit family.

A very lucky and very responsible person.
If you were in his shoes, would you continue buying the lotto tickets ?

As seen on Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/savetoinvest/p/DD4cD-fiTj0/

Things like this do occur but on a rare conditions, if you think you want to start buying tickets just to be able to have his kind of testimony, then this is very wrong to do because it may not come for us as we have expected, in his own case, I will say that he is very lucky to have won huge amount twice, many couldn't make it once, but he shouldn't have the mindset for a third round if he doesn't want to keep trying till eternity.

Nope.
My goal has been met and I was able to make myself rich with those lotto tickets so I'll choose to stop. That's the end game for me and I think that most of us have their own end games.
With that, it's very common to see winners to do as they wish to do but taking care of the winnings and the wealth that has been acquired, it's very hard in doing so be good with how you keep it.

If i am this guy i will keep trying my luck in the lotto. He is one lucky dude having to win a huge amount twice withing 4 years. There is nothing wrong spending more 20% of the wins. Spreading it across several years to have another win. It is worth the risk.

Hold on, there is actually a better way to go about this. He can delegate this money into any business or investment that will give him monthly returns. From there he will get more money to try his luck. With this way he has his main balance with him but gambling with the profit he gets from other sources. Mistimes we should be very wise on how we use money we win from gambling. We may not have that kind of luck all the time.

Wow this is sure a great achievement and we'll planned as well, I must say this is a bold step that he actually took and in years to come having invested in such assets he's sure of accumulating a huge wealth for a long term. Yeah clearly enough it ain't easy to get rich quick as it involves alot of process, timing, patience and all of that, but I think he should stop buying lottery ticket and focus on how  to generate more from this assets.

True, instead of spending his money to wastes, he thinks of a business that can replenish his expenditure if not take profit.  I have read lots of lottery winners after winning huge amounts of money end up in a much more worse situation than before they won in lottery.
Such people are examples of greedy people and are never satisfied with their great victories.
Winning big in the lottery, but they don't withdraw it from gambling and instead make another bet and do a new game,
this is an example of someone who doesn't have a strategy to stop gambling for a while and enjoy their profits.

I also once got stuck in such a situation, winning in a game and the balance became 3x profit, but I didn't stop playing, and then that win was taken again by gambling. Of course, this will make anyone very stressed and unable to enjoy the benefits that should be obtained.

Learning from that incident, I started to take advantage of whatever I got so that I wouldn't regret it in the end.

That guy is really lucky, being able to win life-changing prizes twice!

If you were in his shoes, would you continue buying the lotto tickets ?

With the amount of money won, I do not think it will hurt to continue buying lottery tickets.  So yeah, I will still buy lottery tickets wishing to get that third-time life-changing prize.

The guy in this story is smart because from the discussion you will see that he already started a real estate business since his first winning was used to set up his home and car which for me is a necessary need in this modern middle-class society and to sustain that future the lucky lottery winner has started a project that has long term advantages. After all, real estate is a good sector to via into in this era and time.

getting involve in a thing that pays you up to $4M within four years is enough reason to continue trying your luck for years because it will take a very long time before you can even exhaust 10% of the money you have gotten in the lottery. he is one lucky dude that has certainly won far more than he has ever lost and that he thinks of investing the returns he had from it into a tangible investment source as real estate means he is a wise person. the choice of investing his fund into a physical asset like the real estate is a good thing because it is going to be more difficult for him to use it to gamble again regardless of the urge since it is not an easy process selling out your real estate investment just because you had a gambling urge.

Maybe every now and then but I'll be focused on my assets and properties by that time. I know that it won't lose them quickly even if I continue to buy lottery tickets. But I've known lottery big ticket winners that keeps on doing it as if it's already a passion for them. They cannot stop doing it because for them it's already part of their lives. That's why even after winning jackpots after jackpots, they'll keep on coming back because that's what they have chosen to do and used to it. But for me, I'd do it sometimes.

If I was lucky enough to win the lottery I wouldn't keep buying lottery tickets because I don't believe I would get that lucky twice. The number of people who buy lottery tickets is very large and a ticket has many numbers, so getting that number right is a big stroke of luck. I wouldn't keep buying tickets while I was lucky enough to win once. I would be more focused on using the money I won to do business in the real world.

I don’t know till it happens to me - most of the times we tend to answer questions differently from when we actually experience that thing - so there’s a possibility that my response in this thread will be different from what I’ll do in reality when it actually happens to me, and the same goes for most of the members here - some might tell you “why not? I’ll keep buying as long as I don’t go overboard and buy more than what I can afford to lose” while some will come up with the “nah! I’ll call it a quit and use the money to invest because I don’t know if I’ll be lucky enough to hit the third win” but what they’ll do in reality is quite different from what they’ve written down.

He is indeed a very lucky person who has won such a huge amount of money from gambling, and he has used that money properly. I have played lots of lotteries in the past but my winning story was less. Many people in my country made a lot of money just by winning. I've played with it a few times but I've always earned a small reward. Actually to win big money from lottery you have to go to the list of the best lucky ones but it is unknown to everyone. But we always want to stay with this bet because it is unknown when i will get the big prize.

That's a huge win and very lucky. I'm actually betting on lotto but until now no luck.

If I were him why would I keep buying lotto ticket if I already won a huge amount.
The win amount should invest in business if he wants to make more profit. His idea is also good but business is the best to sustain your needs.
Well, there’s no problem with buying lottery ticket as long as you only spend an amount that you are comfortable to lose. So I would definitely keep buying more tickets. If I’ve made it twice already, then there’s chances for another one, as long as luck is there. The important thing here is, you don’t just rely on luck, but you are also being wise in managing your funds and use them in those potential investments.

That was extra lucky. Hitting twice the jackpot prize, wow this is very rare. If I were on his shoe, I would not put an end to my luck but will continue to buy for lottery tickets hoping for the third round. Although I wouldn’t be totally dying for that to happen, but not bad if I try once more. At least, even if I’ll lose consistently, I wouldn’t consider it a complete loss, since I’m more than profitable compared to my acquired losses.

Congrats to him if it is true. There are people but very few people that can have this kind of luck.

If you were in his shoes, would you continue buying the lotto tickets ?
If the man can win lottery two times, that means he will continue to buy ticket even if he use the money to establish a very good business. If I win $5 million lottery, I do not think I can buy lottery ticket any longer.

I concour to this, you know people's reasoning are different and I believe he'll feel he's been blessed with luck and would likely keep trying over and over despite being sensible enough to invest the money to other profitable areas, not everyone would be that reasonable enough, I heard cases of people who made money through that means but squandered it on unnecessary that didn't bring profits but took them back to square one. However the truth of the matter remains that the man made the best decision a reasonable person could think of, he didn't only invest in one area but diversified to other areas, if I were him I'll also include Bitcoin in my choice of investment and buy as much as possible with some portions of the money, just like you, I don't think I'll continue buying the tickets anyways, it's a choice anyways not like those who continue are wrong but i expect them to emulate what that man is planning on doing.

If you were in his shoes, would you continue buying the lotto tickets ?

Very interesting question. Well, I'm not sure if this is actually a case of addiction, like the threads we usually see, so I will reply to this particular one the way it is. TBH, I don't think I will be able to continue with buying more lotto tickets. The person who won $1M wasn't just lucky, but was extra lucky. The chance of winning a lotto can be very thin, let alone, winning it twice.

But on a second thought, it still depends on the the price of the lotto ticket. If the lotto ticket isn't that expensive, but looks price friendly, I might reconsider and continue with purchasing it. But if the ticket is quite expensive, then just count me out. The chances of winning a lotto ticket for three straight times is very thin, so I don't it's worth risking when it is expensive and requires continuous purchase for years.

The amount he won is a huge win. I think the person is extremely lucky and the man won such a huge amount of money because he is extremely lucky. In my gambling experience, I have never played lotto games so far, I have only bet on sports betting. But I really like the man's thinking/plan because he used all the money he won from his gambling for good. If I were him, I would definitely continue buying lotto tickets.
