Hello Tryninja, Your bot was working fine after your this message but today once again I received double notification for merit. I don't know Is I am the the only one who faced this issue because no other one reported here yet.

The time interval between these two notification is 15 hours and i was very happy when I saw this notification but when I checked no Merit was added to my account Cry

But yeah I guess it was just lagging a bit. Never had any issues with this before so that's why I decided to ask about what's going on.

Nope, it doesn't have anything to do with capital letters as I've used the exactly the same command many times before and never had any issues with it and if you go through the thread you will see that others used the same command.

Still having this issue? I just tried the command on my end and it worked. I did receve some alerts about the scraper and another project of mine being down for a bit, so maybe my server just lagged a bit?

Does anyone have issues with "/setmerit"? For some reason it doesn't want to update it to the specified (correct) number, as seen in the screenshot below. Or am I maybe doing something wrong? Then again, I've used it before and never had issues with it whatsover so I guess its something related to TG bot and not my incompetence. Tongue

You solved one problem with double notification, but it seems that another one appeared. I received a mention notification twice for the same post within 7 minutes of each other. Thanks, Tryninja. I faced double merit issue months ago but now using Setmerit command its corrected. Your telegram bot is extremely fast. I use it for tracking many boards which help me to learn many things because I make research related information on each new topic..

If you're open to receiving suggestions, here are some ideas:

▪️ It will be helpful if the telegram bot could accept both profile links and UID when requesting a Bitcointalk UID. Currently, the bot only work with profile UIDs. when a profile link is added by mistake, it displays data for a null user(error).
▪️ Kindly add option for remove account/reset account option to completely reset our data.
▪️If possible add track of other users merit send/recieve

received merits on sep 28 but didn't seem there's a duplicated merit notifications at that time. Well, I did receive the similar merit notifications before though the merit count is the same but I didn't mind that's why I didn't reported it because I thought the problem is on telegram. It was like this, You have received 1 merit from xxxx 12:24 (merits: 646), You have received 1 merit from xxxx 12:25 (merits: 646) and also receiving merit notifications that is late and when I checked the forum I received merit.

It is a removed post. One had 62923965 number and the one you linked has 62923970 number. Sometimes users tap the send button several times and there appears some occasional double posting. They can delete undesired copy by themselves immediately or such post can be deleted by mods by someone's report. It happens rather often.

I doubt that it was a removed post, because the interval between both notifcations is less than a minute.

On the software part, I had the same issue at some point - I think also in 22th (maybe it helps).
Of course, with such a great program, this kind of rare problems are no biggie.
One thing that I've noticed though is that /setmerit seems to be missing from the menu and I had to come here to find it. Maybe some day (no rush) when you push other changes too, you'll add this there too Wink

i had the same problem on the day in question and again tonight (at exactly the same time as on september 22nd). various merits notifications popped up that had already been sent the day before...

Okay, That's a good news. I had similar issues several times but chose not to report since I know you were on an extended vacation without a laptop. So we have used our famous /setmerit command for the last couple of weeks. I have noticed another glitch a few weeks ago. I had set a tracked topic. I got ten notifications for one post in two or three seconds. I thought many people posted in that thread, and there might be an issue with my internet which is why the bot did not notify, and now my internet is back. Then I saw I got ten notifications for the same post Cheesy

Nevermind. Sometimes we need some entertainment. Either from DdmrDdmr or from TryNinja's bot. Sometimes Merit bots make me happy for a couple of minutes.
