@Tryninja, could you please check why I can see this difference between Bitcointalk information and the information in Telegram via your bot:

The merit count seems to be mismatched by 1 unit! Can you check if this is supposed to happen or if this is indeed some bug?
I'm no expert at this bot since I am not the one who created it and I am sure that TryNinja can answer your questions about the BOT but if that's your problem then you can just set it to the correct count by sending a command to the bot to change the merit count. If you don't know how to do it then you simply type this in the bot and send it. /setmerit (number of merits you have) e.g, /setmerit 656 which is the current merit count I have right now. I experienced the same thing as you before but when I use it, the BOT now shows the correct amount.

Ok, done. Thanks

Try:

Code:
/setmerit 626

Thanks again! Great work on this bot. Hope you continue to support it and even add features over time. If you want, I can have another job for you in this forum. And if you allow me I could take your work here for my suggestion and take it to another forum I use to use quite frequently.

The idea is to develop some type of pluing / browser addon to enable syntax highlight of code. Tere are a few foruns, this one included of course, that could use such thing.
The other forum I would like to see a plugin like this is the Debian forum at https://forums.debian.net/ and EEV Blog forum at https://www.eevblog.com/forum/.

If there was a way of creating something that could be used in these foruns, it would be f**** awsome! :p

I know you are busy but I was wondering if it's possible to add it on the BOT to see the command list like the /menu on the bot that shows the menu. That way, we can also see the the commands and I think this will be helpful to those who doesn't know how to set something right just like the /setmerit although it is already on the thread. I think some people didn't really bother checking up the commands. Maybe something like /commands much like the /menu. I'm sure you know what I mean.

As “@chibitcty” or would “chibitcty” be okay?
chibitcty

When people mention me and I get an alert, do they have to use the “@“ sign in front of my name in order for the bot to flag it?
No.

I think there's a problem here. When I try to track usernames with capital letters (for excample Hhampuz and TryNinja), the bot automatically changes the capital letters I input into lowercase (output from bot hhampuz and tryninja). Maybe that's the main reason why I'm not getting notifications for some topics and posts created by users I've added to 'Tracked User'.
The bot checker is case insensitive, so this is irrelevant here.

Link some examples if something was missed.

The username "hhampuz" is not found on Ninjastic, while "Hhampuz" is found. I believe the same applies to the username "tryninja," which won't be found on Ninjastic, while "TryNinja" is found.

Please tell me if it turns out that the way I use this bot is wrong then this mistake appear to me

The Bitcointalk BOT is one of the best things that has ever happened to me as a forum user.

The fact that I can actually keep track of my Bitcointalk conversations using the notification bot is indeed a life saver.

These days, I go directly to my account by clicking links from the notification bot and it takes me with precision, to the exact message whose notification popped up.

A commendable innovation there, I appreciate its developers as well

Hello

Is your BitcoinTalk Notification BOT also getting active, when a post, where I'm mentioned or quoted, gets edited? Will it cause a notification?
There's no notification when someone mentioned you when they edited the post after 5 minutes. When someone quoted your post then you will get notified or received notification. If what you mean is different then here's a post from TryNinja about editing a post and then include your username.

If someone quotes you after editing the post within 10 minutes, you don't get notification for it?
They have 5 minutes to include your name, otherwise there is no notification.

Ah, got it now. I only activated the notification feature and did not try to use the menu from long time my bad. I will try to use this. Smiley Thanks for the response.
Same experience as me when I also didn't use the bot for quite some time just to check to or see if there's a new feature added before I know about it until I decided to track this thread using the bot and now I get many notification from this thread and also being updated to whatever it is added or someone might need help within my knowledge about the bot especially from newbies or those who didn't use the bot yet.

I am here to suggest one thing if possible to implement, (If I keep someone in ignore list I am getting the notification if the ignored user mention or tag me. Is it possible to implement the feature to close notification from ignored user?)
There is a ignore user feature on the bot. I just can't know who you're ignoring on the forum, that's why you also need to do that on the bot menu.

TryNinja Thanks a lot to you and the team behind. I was using this bot from long time.

I don't know if it’s already suggested by someone else. I just face this and come to share. Thanks again.

New Feature

Auto-Track Own Topics - if enabled, every new topic you make will be added to your tracked topics list (after confirmation).

Active feature!
I ended up adding few of my topics, because it was a bit of work. This way they are all automatically listed. Thanks.

I saw myself having to manually add most of my new topics to my list, so this makes life easier for me. Hopefully it's useful to other people. Smiley

How to enable it:

You can enable this feature on the "Notifications" menu (if needed, run /menu to get the main menu).

I do have everything, of course. But I always go with the "don't share anything" route by default. What if you don't want me to tell the world that you're using my bot? Or that you follow this user?

It doesn't take that much! Just the generic numbers.  Wink

Thanks for sharing. Excellent numbers, congratulations!

TryNinja, it would be fun to present some Bot statistics. Number of topics followed, users followed, users ignored, most followed words, most followed topics, etc.
Or do you happen to not have this data, or do you not want to share it?

I'm always ok with publishing numbers, though.

857 users
754 topics tracked by 144 users
804 boards tracked by 101 users
187 phrases tracked by 73 users
120 users ignored by 24 users

6k ~ 8k notifications per day
