I consider it as one of the greatest match. Del potro and Roger put everything on that match both were at there best form it's just that Roger fell short especially on that last set. Kudos to Del potro I never really thought he could win this tournament against Roger. Well this won't be the last for Roger for sure, and I hope that Del potro could continue on with this type of game he is playing now. He definitely a player to beat this year.

Yeah, too bad that Federer lost, but based on the comments and statistics, it was a great match. I read an interview after the match of Federer where he mentioned that he is a little bit disappointed to have lost, but he found it a lovely match to play and the reason he is still going on is that he loves being on the tour, travelling and playing around the world.

Federer looked invincible throughout the tournament.. so was Del Potro but even with the player being in the form of their life its very hard for them to reciprocate the same while playing against FedEx. After the 2nd set tie breaker win for FedEx, I had a feeling that this could go to the distance as well. Feels a lil hard done by when you lose in the final set tie breaker. I think all the Masters tournament's and Grandslam should just let the players duel it out.. at least at the later stages. Great tournament from both of them and Im happy that Delpo is finally winning big tourneys. Going through injuries that nag throughout your career is hard. Hats off for him to keep fighting and winning.

Federer won today but Coric played an excellent match. Didn't know he can play that good and I watched quite a lot of his matches. It looks like Delpo will make short work of Raonic as it stands now Smiley
Federer faces Juan del Potro in the finals of the Indian Wells today. In the last six games that the two stars have faced each other, del Potro have managed to win just a single game and that was the quarterfinals of the US Open last year. Tipping Federer for a win today.

He has an edge against del Potro but it doesn't mean that its going to be an easy task for Federer. First set belongs to Martin and they are tie 3-3 in the second set already.

I wanted for Federer to win the match, but it looks like Martin is playing very good as of the moment. Although its still have not finished, del Potro seems to have the edge and for Roger to win, he needs to be raise his game again. Lets see how will it pans out in the end, I'm currently watching it and rooting for Federer. Personally, I don't like del Potro, he seems to have this kind of attitude, so boastful.  Smiley

Federer just managed to take second set in tie break. This is some great tennis we are watching in the final. Both guys are striking the ball well, that goes double for the forehands Smiley
It was not enough for Roger Federer to take the win.
He dug himself in a hole he could not dig himself out of in the final set when the games were even at 6 and he was down 6 points to 2 in the final frame.

Juan Del Porto wins a masters 1000 for the very first time in his career.

Well done! Grin

Oh well, what can I say, Roger did show us a good game but it was not enough. It was really great tennis, but the sad part is that eventhough both really play more, we only need one winner and that is Juan.

Was exciting to see Roger climb and get back the 2nd set though and I thought he has the momentum going on the 3rd. However, it wasn't to be denied that Juan will raise this trophy for this year. Congrats to him.

It was a great final even though Federer lost which I was hoping he would win. Del Porto does seem to play well against Federer when it comes to big matches so this is no surprise to see him win. I am surprised that it is Del Porto's first ever masters 1000 title as he has been a great player for a long time, I know injuries have played a role in his career but I would of thought he won one. I think its a nice stepping stone for the upcoming French Open as both players are in fine form.

It seems to me that Federer is the only top 10 player currently in form. Cilic has ok form as well but for some reason he is always awful on this tournament. Since I am from Croatia I have mostly watched matches from domestic players and I must say that I am very impressed how Borna Coric and Petra Martic played this week. OK, Petra is out but she played great match vs. Halep yesterday, really enjoyed the contest.
Well most of the players are currently injured and those who recently returned from injury are still not back to their best yet and even when they are their best, i doubt they would prove troublesome for Roger Federer who is enjoying a fine rejuvenation at this period.

Correct most of them are physical injuries or have a some sort of mental or personal issues to deal with. Just glad that Roger Federer is the last man standing and has taken care of his health up to this level. Remember last year and this year, he chooses which tournament to enter so that it will reduces pressure on his mind and body that why is is like Federer 2.0 so much energy and somewhat rejuvenated.

King Roger like good wine seems to improve getting older.
He is already in the semifinals at Indiana Wells (without losing 1 set) and if he wins the next match he will improve his personal record of consecutive wins at the beginning of a season (17).
The next record of 100 won tournaments is very close.

Federer is just incredible! With this form, I can't see anyone who will be able to beat Roger for the title on Indian Wells.
Chung is also busy on a strong year, semi final at the Australian open and now quarter final at Indian Wells.

When they say old is gold they mean the older Federer gets the better he gets, yes I remember he was very particular and choosy where to appear and which tournament to drop. He knew his body was not ready for every tournament and he made smart decisions right from the start. He's in a incredible form and I wish he continues to be like this for a very long time to come, it'll incredible if he adds another title under his belt.
Congratulation to Roger Federer for making it to the Indian Wells finals where he is expected to face either Del Potro or Milos Raonic in the finals of the competition.

It is too good to be true as Federer just disposed of Coric in the final set of three.
He lost the first set which had people beginning to think he was going to lose this one and even a rumor from a past tennis player who turned tennis announcer to say he had a back injury he is hiding to even post it on twitter.
But going into the third frame Federer showed everyone he did not have any problems and sailed thru it to win the match.
Classic Federer in my opinion. Grin

Yes Roger did get through the match in the second set very quickly to do away with Chung like he was an amateur player on the circuit.
Next up today is Sam Querrey playing against Milos Raonic.
I would think Querrey will out match Milos since he hasn't been in good form for the last year of playing.
And Sam is playing on home soil which usually influences the crowd's reaction when winning at this tournaments.
Whether this plays a part to their game we can only wait and see from today's result. Smiley

the young Coric is the first semifinalist at Indiana Wells!
now Federer will play against Chung and if he wins he will keep the first place in the ranking (for many months).
I expect a final between Federer and Del Potro
