The performance of Bangladeshi International test cricket team is not good. They should work on their weaknesses. Otherwise ,they cannot achieve good position in points table of test format. They are not performing good in all formats. But I am very surprised to see Bangladeshi International test cricket team with no power. In last two years , they didn't play well in all formats. But before 5 years Bangladeshi International cricket team was very strong and they won matches against big teams.They won series against Pakistan and South Africa. That was good achievement.

2016 and 2017 were memorable years in Bangladesh cricket, Bangladesh won the most matches in those two years. Since then, Bangladesh has not been able to maintain their winning streak, but Bangladesh has always played better cricket in the ODI format compared to other formats. I think one of the reasons why the Bangladesh team gave such a bad performance in the Test matches is that Tests are not practiced in that way in their team or in their country.

If we look at India we can see how much importance they give to Tests which is why they host important Test tournaments like Ranji Trophy in their country.From where every year new talented test experienced batsmen and bowlers are produced. If such Test competitive tournaments are organized in Bangladesh like them then maybe the Test format of Bangladesh can improve.

This section is going to be silent for a while. For the next 3-4 moths, most of the teams will be busy preparing for the T20 world cup. Next test series is scheduled to begin by 10th July, when England will host West Indies for a 3-match series. We can expect some quite one-sided matches, as the English pace battery of James Anderson, Mark Wood, Jofra Archer, Chris Woakes and Ollie Robinson will be up against the out of form West Indian batsmen.

We could not even imagine that Bangladesh will perform such a bad performance against Sri Lanka because earlier Bangladesh has performed very well against all these teams like India, New Zealand, England and Afghanistan on the soil of Bengal and even defeated them. I can't accept it.
It has to be accepted that the Bangladeshi players, especially in Tests, are in such a bad mood that they have no patience or mentality to play Tests. They must be coached well and practice mental attitude and patience and then advised to play Tests. Especially the top order of Bangladesh has not improved so far but they have deteriorated so much that Bangladesh is losing every match due to the failure of the batsmen in the top order.

Bangladesh performed poorly in two test matches against Sri Lanka but still you must not be unhappy with Bangladesh's performance because it is better to get no wickets by bowling on good quality wickets than getting 10 wickets by bowling on bad quality wickets.

For this Test series Curator did not produce such poor quality wickets and Bangladesh did not take home advantage which is why Bangladesh performed so poorly. If these two Test matches were held in Mirpur, believe me, the Sri Lankan batsmen would not have been able to stand in front of the Bangladeshi bowlers.

Kudos to BCB for not producing such poor quality wickets in the Test series. There is no problem with Bangladesh losing because Bangladesh can win again but the negative image created in all cricket circles by producing such poor quality wickets is much worse than losing.

Gap between pig-4 and the remaining teams keep on increasing. Only exception is that of South Africa and Pakistan. They have managed to remain competitive. The ICC is forcing them, but neither the boards nor the players want to play. Money is in T20. Test format is quite a lot effort intensive, and at the same time salaries are low (when compared to that in franchise T20 leagues).

So if all the money and hype is in T20 and ODI, then ICC should abandon the test cricket completely. there is no point in only the three or four countries to play the test cricket.

If you ask me, the real battle is seen the test cricket. You can talk about the Ashes or the India Pakistan Test series (if it ever comes again in the future Huh

). Such matches can not only fill the stadium but can generate revenue just like the shorter format of the cricket.

The ICC should try to boost the quality of cricket in nations like Bangladesh, Srilanka, Zimbabwe, Pakistan and even South Africa by giving them funds to improve their infrastructure. Another point to note is that if a team is weak in test matches, they will remain weak in T20 and ODIs too. Similarly, a team who is strong will show good performances in all three formats of cricket.

Bangladesh team lost the first test match against Sri Lanka very badly due to bad batting. Maybe I thought that the world's best all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan joined in the second test match, maybe the Bangladesh team would win the second test match and finally equalize, but even in the second test match, Bangladesh's batting line was very bad. In the first innings of the second test match, the Bangladesh bowlers could have bowled more controlled and bowled aggressively against the Sri Lankan batsmen from the beginning, then Sri Lanka would never have given such a big lead to Bangladesh. Sri Lanka do produce quality talent, despite the absence of a proper first-class system. Kamindu Mendis and Matheesha Pathirana are perfect examples. If they can organize a proper region-based 4-day competition, then in the long term it will benefit the national team. But they don't have any quality players outside Colombo. One way is to distribute the Colombo players to different regions and then organize the tournament. But if they do so, there is no guarantee that the locals will support the respective teams.

The Bangladesh team performed really badly in the Test matches due to which they fell to the lowest position in the points table. And the two test matches played by Bangladesh team against Sri Lanka were the worst performances due to which they lost their ranking points, if they could have won they would have been in a good position. As the Sri Lankan team performed well in the Test match against Bangladesh, if they improve a little more in the next matches, they can occupy a good position in the points table. Both the bowling and batting line-up of the Sri Lankan team in the ODI series and the Test series were excellent which helped them to win and occupy a good position in the points table and their current form will definitely improve in the future. In Bangladesh team I think currently there are not many experienced players due to which they could not improve their bowling and batting due to which they have to lose regularly. So, Bangladesh must play the matches responsibly and complete their batting and bowling line-ups well to win the next matches and move to a good position in the points table.

Bangladesh has won only 1 match among their top 5 scoring innings in test matches. It proves how irresponsible they are in test matches. BCB president showed some strictness in front of the press after the end of first match, but we haven't seen the result of his words on the second test.

You are right that it is beyond imagination that Bangladesh team will bat so badly against Sri Lanka. Because Bangladesh bowled fairly well against Sri Lanka but the batting line of the Bangladesh team was the worst. It feels really bad to see the Bangladesh batting failure. If the batsmen of Bangladesh could have batted responsibly against Sri Lanka, then of course the Bangladesh team would not have won the test series against Sri Lanka, but the test series would have drawn one draw. Test match whitewash because of normal batting of Bangladesh Mehdi Hasan Miraj batted very well in the second innings in the second test match of Bangladesh if two batsmen could have batted like him Bangladesh would have won the second test match.

It has to be accepted that the Bangladeshi players, especially in Tests, are in such a bad mood that they have no patience or mentality to play Tests. They must be coached well and practice mental attitude and patience and then advised to play Tests. Especially the top order of Bangladesh has not improved so far but they have deteriorated so much that Bangladesh is losing every match due to the failure of the batsmen in the top order.
