Not long ago, very recent past, in Ashes when Warner was not getting runs every one including me was saying it's time to replace him, why the management is not placing someone else instead of him and so many negative things.

Now everyone including those and including me (!) can not deny the truth that the Australian management was right to have faith in Warner.

Good comeback buddy. Sorry for the low confidence I had in you.

Pardon me but Warner is now scoring against Pakistan and all the players can score against Pakistan looking at their performance of their current team.

I would still like to see his performance against England, NewZealand or India to have the full confidence in him.

Everything was going his way and I honestly expected Warner to cross Lara's record, but Paine messed everything up. Another 10 overs and Warner would have probably crossed the line. In this case, individual record should have been favored over the team since Aus is most likely going to win anyway.
Warner could have taken over the highest individual score if they did not declare but we can only speculate as it is not that easy as he could have been tired too as he was playing a very long innings but what surprised me was that Pakistan batted really well from 96 for 6 they were able to score over 300 runs which i never expected and two players scored century and one of them was a tail end batsman but still it is difficult for them to even draw this match as they are forced to follow on.

Tim Paine took a wrong decision in my opinion. Luck favored Warner in this match(Survived thanks to no-ball, edges went past the slips etc) and you could basically see him smiling whenever he survived in such instances.

Well this proves to me that Pakistan were not getting the ball in the right areas like I suspected because Australia have taken 6 wickets already and like I said in here, the night session has always been the best session for bowling. Pakistan were just not getting the ball to do much in the first night session but look what Australia have been able to achieve even on a flat pitch. Australia will most likely win this match with an innings and runs just like the first test match.

The pink ball seems to be causing a lot of problem to the batsmen, especially against the quicker bowlers. The same happened with Bangladesh, when they were facing the Indian pacers at the Eden Gardens. I would rate the Australian pace triad (Starc/Hazlewood/Cummins) as the best in the world right now, and the Pakistani batsmen didn't had any chance against them.

How is it possible that Pink ball cause trouble to Pakistani Batsmen and  no trouble to the Australians. I think this is just lame excuses and i admit it openly that Pakistan team is one of the weakest team and stand no chance in test matches against the Australians.

That's my point, the ball didn't have much effect on Australia in the night session where Pakistan struggled in the night session. Like I said Pakistan was no bowling the ball in the right spots to trouble the Australian batsman.

Its good to see Pakistan fight back and I think Australia will bat again now that Pakistan have scored over 250 and they could get close to 300 run if they bat well for the last 2 wickets. Maybe then Pakistan can put Australia under pressure tonight when they will most likely bat again or Australia could just put Pakistan back into bat in the night session.

David Warner hit the tripple century. It's the ever first tripple century at Adelaide Oval. Pakistan once again will lose the match for innings certainly; it's 2nd session of the 2nd day. Warner has the chance of moving it to 400.
If the Australian captain did not declare the innings we would have seen the highest Test score and i am confused why he declared the innings with plenty of time as this was just the second day and he could have given Warner the opportunity to score the maximum runs, it is shame on the captains part as Pakistan is struggling as they already lost six wickets and the innings defeat is inevitable.

Good captain and teams do not care for the individual records and do what is best in the interest of the country. The Aussie captain took no chances even he know Pakistan will lose the match and can be easily bowled out. But since the wicket seems dead he thought to take no risk and give their bowlers enough chance to bowl Pakistan out twice.

BTW, England is currently having an advantage in their match against New Zealand. They are 216/3 with Joe Root at 84*. Earlier Rory Burns hit a century. The absence of Trent Boult is showing up in the New Zealand bowling lineup. If Root and Stokes can add another 100 or 150 for the fourth wicket partnership, then England may end up taking the lead in the first innings.

Warner is a player who gets going OZ will end up making a big score . OZ have really the good batsman on top order and the advantage is that he opens the batting so have a good chance to play good amount of balls and make quick runs .
During the Ashes the top order was struggling and Steven Smith was the only player who was consistent throughout the series and the only match he was rested because he was hit on the head by a bouncer, England won the match and it was a very close and interesting one and when ever Smith was in the team they were winning by a big margin even though the openers were failing and in this series Smith did not even get a chance to perform as the openers are in tremendous form.

As expected Warner is back in prime form against a less potent attack and scored the highest score by an Australian and overtook the score of the legendary Don Bradman and if Tim Paine did not declare the innings Warner would have scored the highest Test score overtaking Brain Lara and still win the match as Warner was scoring at a really high strike rate of 80. It is a matter of time Pakistan will come out to bat in their second innings and once again start their rally to go back to the pavilion one by one  Cheesy.

Australian teams always give priority to winning the match rather than personal performances. You have to note that Lara's quadruple ton & 375 (then highest Test score) resulted in draws. Guess they are happy that Warner got past Bradman. I am not saying that there wasn't enough time for him to score a quadruple ton and then go for the hunt. But you can't underestimate your opponent.
Even if Australia did not declare in the second day they will easily win the match considering the bad form in which the Pakistan batsman are and they struggling against the Australian bowlers and we saw what happened when Pakistan came to bat, they were not even able to built any partnership and they are struggling at 96 for the loss of 6 wickets and the match will end by the third or fourth day. When Lara was playing he was not looking for the win as he was more focused on breaking the record.

On the other hand, England seems to be struggling against NZ. Once again, NZ might be winning the match.
I am hoping for a rain interference and spoiling the fun and end up in a draw  Tongue

Warner might get his Maiden triple hundred.

That's almost a foregone conclusion. Actually I would be surprised if he get out before 300. The Pakistani bowlers looks like a hapless bunch and it may even be possible for Warner to become the first batsmen in the world to hit a quadruple century (400). Australia may not mind batting the entire day today, and they may declare only after reaching 700 or 800. I guess that gives Warner enough time to create some records against his name.

^^ England had a very good chance of taking advantage after taking 2 quick wickets today but Watling and Daryl Mitchell ruined the party for English bowlers, especially Watling irritated them quite effectively with some old era technique (bored to death).
Final score 375- All out
I was expecting a much better score for New Zealand by the way they started especially when Latham was playing well but he got out when the match was delayed and these breaks can create concentration lapses and that cost his wicket, England does face a big challenge and lets see whether they are able to take a lead in this match and put pressure back to New Zealand.

Warner might get his Maiden triple hundred.
I wish Warner scores his maiden triple century in this match as i was sad seeing his struggle during the Ashes series  Cheesy.

New Zealand lost a couple of wickets on resuming the game and the rain stop made an impact as both the set batsman is in the pavilion now, Tom Latham misjudging the line of the ball completely and Henry Nicholls was misjudging a pull and caught in the deep, the hero of the last match is in the crease Watling and Mitchell are building a partnership and if England is not able to pick wickets we will see another long innings from Watling Grin.

The New Zealand vs England match is progressing very nicely, and it looks like New Zealand may end up somewhere around 400. The tailenders are adding valuable runs for New Zealand, and the English bowlers (apart from Chris Woakes) looks clueless. Jofra Archer has proved to be a huge disappointment so far in this series. So far he has figures of 75/0 from 27 overs.

I opted to watch the New Zealand match over the one in Australia, because this one looked more evenly contested. On the other hand, it looks like Australia is stream rolling Pakistan at Adelaide. Pakistanis somehow managed to get Marnus Labuschagne out (by Shaheen Shah Afridi), and he'll be disappointed on missing an opportunity to hit a double century.
